So, which team is going to make SRW NX if that happens? On the one hand, the 3DS team could do it, and it'd fit the naming scheme. Plus, the NX is supposed to be Nintendo's next gen portable. On the other hand, the GC/NEO/OE team could do it, since the NX is also going to be Nintendo's next gen home console.

Not that either unit is particularly-good, but you get the Gundam early in a game that has really bad pacing even by SRW standards for something so fucking short.

There's not much in AP to justify playing it enough times to get enough money for the early and late-joiners (thanks for keeping the enemy density in 2000, Tardpresto), and skillparts are so fucking rare you can't even outfit a full team without a stupid number of playthroughs or with codes. And I wouldn't blame anyone who wanted to cheat in AP.

30 for 6800 is better than what most Supers get in terms of cost, I guess, but to be honest if I wanted an attack around that power for that cost I'd run the GP-01, as while it is slightly weaker, it has that great S-Space and its finisher is a powerful enough Beam to pierce those fucking Nadesico barriers. (It can even take down Battas without upgrades in the early game)

You know, it's really too bad you can't get Spiegel without cheats. It's balanced in terms of power like the Shuffle Alliance guys, so it's one of the strongest mechs in the game, but its finisher costs 30 EN, and it has a pretty damn good free move. And it has Double Image and a sword. And surprisingly good Armor to go with its great mobility.

Meanwhile on the other side we've got...some interesting connections to the first and some paradoxes but not big enough that I can't make some sense of it. Early and Late UC are so different and non connected that you could get away with both something early and Crossbone and be fine, for the most part. Lot of stuff I don't recognize off the top of my head but hey Kileak, I remember that. That's gonna make things really funny with Fafner, since they find aliens in Kileak that are the common ancestor of all humanity. Go sort of lucky with Kihei which I don't think actually exists since I couldn't find anything more than a trailer and some notes that it was cancelled before release. I love looking into these because I usually end up looking into the things I don't know anything about.

There's a lot of things in this roll that I'm pretty sure aren't even translated but I'll do what I can. I'm not touching the ones I can't even pull up a synopsis for.

First list definitely has an Earth vs Space theme going on, with a lot of the situation on Earth being not that great with criminal organizations, monsters and aliens all ripping it apart, and some maniacal crazy man in a red suit deeming it time for people to leave with a giant rock. People already colonized Mars and set up BAHRAM as a peace keeping force but is already rife with corruption that makes the Titans look like respectable members of society. And this is on top of the organization known as Big Fire who wants everything to themselves and has much bigger plans than simply profit...

Meanwhile Branch 2 (god this is gonna be hard) already has things dealing with the Festum which is...not a great start to any world. Contact with various forms of intelligent alien life has been established and the Autobots are already a respected ally of Earth.

The technology from the Autobots has caused humanity's own tech level to rise dramatically, to the point where even with the threat of the Festum, people are able to live semi peaceful lives on Earth. The rise in tech has made large humanoid machines commonplace in various tasks, such as stopping crime, assisting in construction, and various other methods of use, and many pilots are trained from school to help defend Earth against both the Festum and those that may come from space. Some are even preformed in secret espionage for the good of humanity. That was probably the hardest one I've done so far simply because a lot of this either has very little plot or is simply not translated at all. I could do nothing with Varion and Super Robot Shooting has no plot.

You ever watch Gundam IBO? Where it's painfully boring and the only halfway competent person in the whole show is the main character, but it still wants you to think everything around it means something? It's kinda like that. Only worse. So much worse. I've never quite wanted a show to simply "end" before Ghost. It was perfectly fine right up until episode 20 or so and then it just took a nosedive that it never really recovered from. I would dare say it's probably the worst Rider show now.

Depending on who you ask, either that, Kiva or Faiz. I've seen all 3 of those and I still think this was worse. At least all of those didn't assume I was a goddamn moron with VERY GLARING PLOTHOLES that completely undue the plot at the seams when you look at them hard enough.Not to mention all of those had either fantastic soundtracks, suit designs and good fights, or any combination of the 3, to keep me distracted from everything that actually WAS terrible in them. And honestly Drive was kind of the opposite. It started out really meh overall but then the second half kicked in and it suddenly became super good in almost every way. It is, honest to god, one of my favorite Rider shows, and I'd recommend that to anyone just trying to get into it. I think that's why Ghost hurts so much, because we just came off of something so good. Ex-Aid I have...cautious optimism about, because like every series we got our cameo of him last episode being cool and promoting the new stuff and honestly? That looked fun. Like 60's Batman sound effects, bright colors and generally being incredibly goofy. After Ghost, I welcome some goofy.

World 1 is already kind of fucked up from the Radam plants just randomly eating people, which is something that they've already developed a system for dealing with. Dr. Tagami, with the help of a traveling ship fleet known as the Gargantia, discovered a mysterious island which may have ties to both the Arst technology that is being thrown their way due to alien visitors, along with a coverup of multiple worlds, but is murdered before he could find the truth, and his son Yuu is quick to jump at the chance to find out what he could not, with everyone from the Federation to GAIL, his father's killers, to Hau Dragon, a secret feudal society, all racing to New Austral Island, to find it's secrets, but what they find there is definitely not what they expected, when it involves a large sentient Robot by the name of Gorg, a race of talking Gundams and an Idol Singer (this sounds like the start of a bad joke). The colonies already had their brawl with OZ and came out the victor, with the Gundams being thrown away to promote the view of Pacifism that Relena Peacecraft pushed forward, but it seems that this feeling isn't mutual, with Zeon's claim for independence, Giganos's open plans of earth eradication and the Federation building both their own Gundam and a lighter cost version known only by the codename "Dragonar" in secret to combat it. The growing conflict between Norma's, those without magic power, and those that can only grows wider as the princess of the Mitsurgi Empire is claimed as a Norma, throwing the entire system into both disarray and question...

This is the world of Dragons, which humanity fought and lost against them in World War 7 and they now make up the majority of the world, but that isn't to say humanity has gone extinct. Even with the help of the Zentradi and Meltrandi, the dragons became the dominant species on the planet and drove humanity into the solar system, where they now colonize the surrounding them. Some humans still fight back against the threat, with few having many materials except various forms of firearms, while others are content living among the stars, although they come with their own problems. You could buy OE's chapters one by one or all of them at once IIRC.
I'm surprised you could purchase OE to begin with, I thought it wasn't in the shop anymore.

Just look up the torrent in nyaa instead, and enable some cheats because the game was balanced with the thought that the player would replay older chapters over and over to amass cash, EC and parts, which you certainly aren't going to do.

OE consists of 8 chapters, each around 4 hours long, with a set of DLC missions thrown in here and there (3 at worst), but the game straight out becomes not worth playing past midway chapter 3.

OE might have become kind of a horrible nightmare after a while, but I think there's some merit to the "fuck it let's just take all these shows and shove them right in there, don't worry about the plot" approach it took. There's a ton of units to play with, the basic gameplay is pretty fun, the animations are pretty good, that all checks out, but the balance and stage design just become really ass in a real hurry.

So, no idea about SOME-LINE aside from it apparently being a parody Light Novel. So sure, it can be our comic relief. How we have comic relief in a game with Ryuki and Fafner, I don't know, but apparently that's a thing.

Ryuki's Mirror World gets reinvented into our Dimensional Bullshit, so we can have the more modern, more magical Toku World With Evolimit, Strike Witches, Fafner, SOME-LINE, Tetsujin and Masoukishin, then have Harlock, FSS and Macross as the high-tech futurey world set in deep space.

Would I play it? Probably, but I doubt it'd be my favorite. I don't like Grimderp, and a lot of these series rub me the wrong way for various reasons. I'd probably play through just with my favorites, dump all the broken main character units and just stuff guys I like full of upgrades and PP.

In z2-2 his map attack literally vaporizes grunt units granted you maxed it.

Positioning is a bit awkward but the attack covers a nice area from far away and since it hits several squares away from the unit you can keep zero as a second liner and it'll avoid friendly units.

The range is a bit weird. Honestly, I'm not even into map attacks at all as a way to wipe out large amounts of enemies because I'd rather spread out kills as evenly as possible. Using them for weakning works, I have nothing against that.

Personally I have no problem with MAP attacks, but I never like to use ones that don't distinguish between allies and enemies. Wing Zero in the Z series was an exception since it's Post-movement nature and odder range made it easier to use when in the thick of things.

That's entirely OE's fault for limiting you to 8 units/groups + battleships. You'd simply get overwhelmed if you tried to fight everything normally unless you had 15-20 weapon upgrade bars. Especially due to the fucked-up successive targetting adjustment (K-style, oh boy!) and the enemies tending not to switch targets at all unless they're already too bunched-up on the one unit they're bullying.
