***READ THE GUIDE***

For those new to gunpla/plamo or even just new to this thread; please read the guide. Please read it before asking questions, as there is a chance it has already been answered there.
For those unfamiliar, "plamo" is a shortened form of "plastic model". If it's made of plastic, someone can probably help you here!
If you're new, you're gonna fuck up. Don't worry! If you're experienced, don't make the new people worry!
>Why won't anyone answer my question?
Try being specific, especially about your materials and process. Post pictures whenever possible; even if the kit/part looks bad, you are more likely to get help posting pictures.

== ACE PILOT GROUP BUILD ==

Starting September 1st, you have two months to build, customize, and paint a mobile suit of your choice into your own personal design. This can range from just a repainted Zaku to a kitbashed Gundam loaded with any spare rifles and Rocket Launchers you can find. Any suit from any series is fair game, just stick to 1/144 kits and you're good. When you're done feel free to post it in the thread, but also send pics to [email protected] so that all the entries can be judged/posted at once when the group build is over (If you don't want to be judged for the contest just feel free to mention it when you send in your pics).

Prizes include:
>1st Place: Any HG kit under $25 + an Action Base 2
>2nd Place: Any HG kit under $15
>3rd Place: An Action Base 2
(Note: Shipping is to USA and Canada only)

Group build ends on October 31st, get building!

A kit that is almost too good for its price.

>>14730244
The only reason I bought the HG over the MG was because the HG was 10 bucks where I bought it from, and I didn't research the MG to see how good it was.

It really is absurd the difference in quality from HG to MG in general though.
>>
Does anyone know if the High Grade Alex's Chobham Armor will get along with other kits, or does it have pegs that the Alex has holes for or something?
>>
Is there any shame in being an MG oob builder? Every time I plan to paint one of my HGs I get really anxious and don't bother.

So practice. There will be more contests in the future. There's no rush. Just like regular building, show off what you believe is presentable.

Dalong.
And yes you could put it on something else if you modded them otherwise its unlikely you'll find another suit with the exact same body as Alex.
>>
>tfw stress marks being a bitch
Fuck grey and fuck blue. I did the multiple cuts and everything but these marks seem to be eternal, I tried filing and sanding with low grain sandpaper.
>>
>>14730360

You could try applying a very thin coat of extra thin plastic cement, which will melt the surface and eliminate the stress mark unless shit is really damn stressed.

Oh, and of course I ask my question about spikes just as the last thread ends.
Anyway, anybody have any tips on how to sharpen shoulder spikes?
>>
>>14730397

Use a wheel.
>>
>>14730359
Dalong doesn't have pictures of the insides. The instruction manual helps some, but not as much as that would.
>>
>>14730386
next time look at the instructions on dalong
>>
>>14730360
Drip very hot but not boiling water onto the affected spot. A couple more times to let it absorb the heat should see the stress mark fade away with more passes.

I'm the kind of perfectionist (it's ironic because I'm far from perfect) who'd feel like shit with anything subpar. If my work isn't good enough to win 3rd place, then it probably isn't even good enough to show off in my opinion.

This is probobly my oldest kit I was thinking of Sanding it down and and closeing to seemlines on it but I'm worried I assembled it to soon and should just leave it as is, What do you think I should do I don't want to end up wrecking it it was one of my first that I made and it has some gauges but I think putty will close them with ease then its just a matter of painting it. I only hand paint and atm the moment all I have to work with is testors so I'm hesitant to even try and primer it as none of my paints are liqueurs
>>
GN Archer lewds please
>>
>>14730533

I think you should just spend 10 bucks and buy a second GM, then do that one right. Then you can have them next to each other like a before/after thing.
>>
>>14730533
>gauges

Baking soda + CA glue trick as an instant gap filler.

>testor paints

Don't do it, it will eat through the plastic easily.

>hand paint

Use reaper or vallejo paints for this purpose.

>>14730544
>buy a second GM

If it really is ten bucks in the guy's area then sure.
>>
>>14730548

HGUC GM is 11 bucks on Amazon from Japan, with >SAL. Or he can get it with Prime in 2 days for 16 dollars. Which is kinda steep for an HG GM but not too bad.
>>
>>14730443
Got confused when assembling one of the GM Sniper II's arms - had to get the polycap out of the forearm, but not the hand doesn't want to stay in the socket. Any suggestions to "tighten" that connection, or should I not even bother?
>>
>>14730554
just wait a week or so. I've seen it at 8 with prime, the low sellers are probably just out of stock atm
>>

>>
>>14730244
What is masking tape and paint?
I mean, I agree with you, the MG is way better than the HG for the Turn A, but for much different reasons. If your only complaint is about the colors, then you're in the wrong hobby.

The chest/backpack, leg, shoulder, and skirt parts are fitted specifically for the Alex's proportions, which compared to other kits has a bit of a squashed down torso segment.
I tried fitting the armor around a GM Command, GM Type C, and GM II, and the only parts that work are the forearm guards.
So if you wanna give your kits some Pop-eye arms, then you can do that.

First real attempt at a painting project beyond spraying green onto a graze to figure out how an airbrush works. Besides the edgy color scheme based on the Hunter of Black Clothes manga I'm pretty happy with how it turns out. Wish I had taken the time to fix those seam lines though, they look much worse now than they did originally because I had to take the legs apart a time too many during reassembly.

Anyone got any ideas for the guns it comes with? It'd be nice to add some more color to this edgy fuck.
>>
>>14731675
I dig it, anon. I'm creatively bankrupt or I would give you some ideas.
>>
>>14731675
Two tone black and gray is the usual color scheme for guns.
>>
want to start gunpla. Over Flag's both MG and HG looks badass. Do you recommend it for a starter? And want to buy 1 mg, 1 hg and 1 rg or fuck rg s and will get 2 hgs instead. Am I wanting too much or is it enough?
>>
>>14731703
Yeah, but most of the machine is already black and grey so I'm worried it'll look weird if the gun is the same combination. Then again it'd probably look weirder if the gun was suddenly really different.
>>
>>14731725
You can never want too much gunpla.

I've no experience with the Overflags personally, but you can't go wrong with an MG of the Zaku II 2.0, either MP or Char's custom, and I hear nothing but good things about the Char's Z'gok RG .
>>
>>14731725
There's no MG Flag, so I assume you mean the 1/100?

Anyways, if you're just starting out, I wouldn't recommend the HG Flag; it's pretty flimsy and doesn't have great articulation, which could be pretty frustrating for a beginner. If you want to get an HG that's Flag-like, I had pretty good experience building the Braves because they feel far more sturdy than the Over Flag. Otherwise, I've heard that the 1/100 Flag is pretty good, though I've never built it, myself.

The Gouf Revive is a great kit. so is the Gouf Custom. HGs, of course.

Just be warned, if you pick up the MG Gouf Custom, the weight of its shield gatling is too heavy for the arm to support on its own, so you'll need to brace it against something or support it with something like a figma stand or something.

Otherwise, if you try and put it in a pose like pic related, eventually the gun will droop down.
>>
>>14731787

The HG Gouf Custom has the same problems, IIRC.
>>
>>14731802
Not really. The polycap in the shoulder has a little shelf, and the connector in the arm has a ledge. The ledge sits on the shelf and supports the extended arm. Plus the shield gatling isn't as heavy as the MG version.
>>
>>14730941
Kits for the Batara and X-0 are guaranteed, and we may end up actually getting kits for the Den'an Zon/Gei. Quavarze and Vagon would be cool to see, but I dout they could get their transformations to look stable/good
>>
>>14731619
Digging the blue visor. Nice work
>>
>>14731914
Yeah, it turned out a lot nice than I thought. Basically just took a clear runner, cut a piece of the rectangle label part, and cut and sanded it flat and into shape then dipped it in future to hide the scratches before painting it with clear paint.

Got the idea after someone posted someone on a japanese blog doing something similar.

Contrast colours are good, but realistically for military divers you'd keep it to a few details here and there. That being said, I think a dark blue scheme is what most screams aquatic MS, given the technicolour madness of 0079's aquatic suits is more a product of the 70s/80s than actual common sense.

I'm beginning to think perhaps using Zgock as a tester for my paint was a bad idea I tried "Priming" As the hobby shop owner suggested however I well the results speak for them selves. Oh and ham fingers managed to brake both the left arm and leg The three Colors I tried were Flat White Flat black and flat grey What I didn't realise at the time was while the Shop owner insisted that the flats were Primers, They were not liqueurs so ya I haven't tried painting sense because I lack Real primers also apparently all my testors is useless because I'm trying to hand paint.

Might try doing magnets in the legs with putty I have been watching tutorials on youtube and it seems really easy. What do you guys think I have tried Repairing these Joints multiple times but I just think I will keep braking more of them the longer I try to "Fix" them.

Yeah, magnets with putty seems like it'd be the way to go (I'm assuming you've tried using plastic cement and letting them sit for a few days). Also, if you got Testors enamels, you can hand brush them and get decent results, although I did find them a pain to work with. Also, be sure to pick up some mineral spirits for thinning/ brush cleaning (or you could pick up their own thinner for thinning. Up to you).

My 2 cents.

Spray Cans are easy but offer little control. But there's ways of doing pre and post shading without air brushes. Cheaper than getting an airbrush and compressor. So if you want to paint a few models that's a good option.

Airbrushs are far better, but more expensive. But also much more expensive. But once you have it, paint is pretty cheap. You also now are able to shade, control pressure and mix your paints for the right color.

Also usually if you have an airbrush you'll probably want to build a booth. A lot of people with cans just go outside and spray.

See if a hobby shop around you has booths. What I did was buy a cheap ($30) airbrush and I go to my local hobby shop and use their compressors and spray booths. That way I don't have to worry about getting my little apartment dirty.
Only real downside is the hourly cost, and the fact that I have to lug my stuff there. But my place I can keep my kits there over night.

Not at all, it's not cement like the building material, it's cement as in it cements pieces together like glue. It comes in liquid and gel form (the tube in your pic is gel). It melt plastics (mostly styrene) at the area of contact so when you press the two parts together and it dries the pieces are now fused to each other.

Its used for glueing parts together and erasing seam lines.

>>
>>14734389
>/tg/ here, what games do you recommend for fighting with your gunpla?
I was actually just thinking of a concept for a Tabletop system for Gunpla Battle...

While you can always stat them for Brikwars, it will always have a bias towards Master Grade and larger scales simply due to the system's use of body size when it comes to the size of the weapons you can use in a single turn.

Instead, I'm thinking of something based around a set amount of "Plavsky Points" each player distributes to their Gunpla's various Attributes and Weapons, maybe a pool of dice like my ideas for making Mobile Frame Zero less of a cluster-fuck.
>>
>>14734917
I think one of the hardest things would be determining mobility. Do you paint it with wide strokes? Do you try to finetune it to give units with slightly more output higher initiative? And what do you do when you can't find proper data on the unit since unlike say Battletech, I don't think there are TROs for Gundams.
>>
>>14734917
>>14734963
its would be comlicated to balance but this is just a general idea. you have 1 master grade to be your "ace" that gives buffs and gets a general debuff when destroyed.

you could build around heavies which would be full armor ms and shit like that. and small suits being quick and move around the board. and the weapons and such attached to them giving stats and such while adding a "weight" to the suit, controling how fast they could move around the board. yould have to make a chart with each kits basic mobility and weight.

while depending on the board setting being space, water, and land that all have different attributes
>>
>>14734980
>MG ace
You really shouldn't mix scales on a tabletop, unless you're going for an Ein's Graze kind of affair.
As far as "heavies" go, the Full Armor frames seem to be pretty fast too (just look at Io Fleming's FA-78)
Even bulky units like the Gusion and the Man Rodi aren't THAT slow, and if they jettisoned their heavy armor (Gusion Rebake) they'd be just as fast as their lightly armored counterparts so Gundam mobility is pretty fluid and hard to pin down. All I can see for truly determining speed is if a unit gets an output listed (The RX-78-2 gets 1380 kW, making it faster than an RGM-79 GM at 1250 kW.) Not all units have listed outputs though, I have no idea how many kW the Barbatos puts out with its dual Ahab reactors (although it is explicitly mentioned it was built for agility.) But there's the question- what's faster, a Man Rodi without any armor or a Graze? A Zaku II or a GM Command?
The second movement issue is Space vs Ground. On ground the weight of a unit is important since you have to deal with Gravity, but in space thrust will quickly overcome weight. Our Gundam Gusion does well in space and is actually decently mobile, but the second you drop it into an atmosphere it'll collapse under its heavy armor and be inoperable.

Makes you wish Bandai would have paid some attention to the possibility of tabletop Gundam, doesn't it?
>>
>>14735028
>gravity
I probably should've at least added Air Resistance to that list, actually. Probably far more of a concern than gravity, and factoring in how much air resistance a frame has would be a massive pain in the ass.
>>
>>14735028
were are going to have to disregard actual preformance if you want to balance a game. otherwise youd just have full armor gundam, psycho zaku, and unicorn etc. just soloing the game. like i mentioned with the chart, your going to have to take a kit and decide what it does.
>>
>>14735055
or just have gms and other mass produced suits be the bulk and only allowing one sazabi, gundam, whatever else.
>>
>>14735055
Funnels would demolish any fun that could be had.
>>
>>14735066
I'd go with this, each unit has a cost.
You want an FA-78 Full Armor Gundam? Here you go. The other guy has a whole bunch of Zakus for that same cost, and unlike the animated series where everyone jobs to the protag the Zakus can actually scratch your paintjob in tabletop.
>>
>>14735079
funnels could be a fun game play element, spreading small hp units to distract the enemy, just nerf their damage.
>>
>>14734963
>I think one of the hardest things would be determining mobility. Do you paint it with wide strokes? Do you try to finetune it to give units with slightly more output higher initiative?
I'd say broad strokes, Gunpla is FREEDOM after all.
Mostly, Mobility would be one of the Core Attributes, you could put all your Plavsky Points/Dice into it and just tear ass across a Battlefield.

Thursters and other "High Mobility" parts could act as static modifiers, with the caveat that they could be specifically targeted to be destroyed/removed.

>>14734980
>you could build around heavies which would be full armor ms and shit like that. and small suits being quick and move around the board. and the weapons and such attached to them giving stats and such while adding a "weight" to the suit, controling how fast they could move around the board.
Larger Weapons or Defensive Parts could bring static Mobility or "Evasiveness" minuses, but would of course have their own bonuses.

For Weapons, I'm thinking they'd have different properties based on their type:

Close Combat - Plays directly off the "Physical Power" attribute, which would otherwise be a suits "Unarmed Attack," give modifiers or even MULTIPLIERS to the attack, but the weapon in question has to physically touch the opposing model.

Ballistic - Huge Static Modifiers to Ranged Attack Damage or "Tracking," but have a low maximum cap on the amount of Plavsky Points/Dice you can pump into them for extra damage.

Beam Guns - Kinda the opposite of Ballistics, you can pump ALL of your Plavsky budget into them, but they generally have low Modifiers. Might have a special Anti-defense property though.

Missiles - Static Damage and Tracking Dice you don't need to use Plavsky on, but you've only got a limited amount so make them count. Might also add extra damage to an Enemies Attack if specifically Targeted.
>>
>>14732376
We have his red zaku in hg
>>
>>14735094

Defensive items like Shields or Armor can outright shrug off weaker attacks, but an attack that matches or greatly exceeds it's Damage Rating destroys said item. Thankfully, it also tanks ALL of the Damage from that Attack, leaving the MS otherwise unscathed.

>>14735092
>funnels could be a fun game play element, spreading small hp units to distract the enemy, just nerf their damage.
Well again, this is why I'm thinking a Point Budget based system would be the best:
Funnels, like non-missile weapons, require some of that Mobile Suits' Plavsky Points to fire, but they also need them to Move and/or Evade as well.
While a Funnel will probably have a decent static Evasive bonus due to it's small size, it will still sap Points/Dice from it's mother Suit, so more Funnels or a more powerful Funnel will make the controlling Unit that much weaker.

beam weapons can ignore armor but have low damage.
>>
>>14733256
your girl has a d20 around her neck. You lucky son of a bitch
>>
>>14735130
i was thinking the funnels and whatever counterparts could be apart of the mother mobile suits cost. like if you want a sazabi or a nu gundam, your gonna have to pay up. and restrict the funnels to be within a space radious of the sazabi. or set them as a turret that cannot move. or making the sazabi static while you have free control of funnels. a special gameplay element for the units that have them. we would also have to set "army types" while loose in the suits you can use, theyd have basic rules that they need to follow and a basic strategy and restriction. like feddies can produce more units while zeddies can have more "special suits" but have a smaller general force
>>
>>14735133
>beam weapons can ignore armor but have low damage.
Nah, a lot of famous Beam Weapons are huge Cannons that can pump out a huge amount of damage.
While they have low to non-existent damage modifiers, you could potentially pump your Suits' entire Plavsky Budget into a single shot for the BIG BEAM.
They also might only bypass a Defensive items' ability to tank an Attack only if they had a greater amount of Plavsky Points put into them than the Target did for their Defense.

>i was thinking the funnels and whatever counterparts could be apart of the mother mobile suits cost.
Well again, that's where the Plavsky Point/Dice Budget comes in, each Suit get the same set amount.
Since Plavsky is what essentially powers everything, a Suit splitting it's budget between itself and it's Funnels/Bits/Remote What-evers isn't going to be as powerful as, say, the Gundam that dumped everything into Mobility and a Beam Dagger.

>>14735192
>we are actually coming up for this gunpla table top boys. if we could actually organize a group to bring it together, we could make something really cool.
Well right now I've got Five Core Attributes which can be powered directly via Plavsky and modified via a Suits Loadout:

Mobility - How fast you can Move, or in tabletop terms, how far a Suit can move in a single turn.
Thrusters and verniers are primary the Gunpla modifications that affect this.

Evasiveness - How hard you are to Hit.
The Direct Opposite of Tracking, probably also able to be affected by thrusters and verniers, as well as an objects relative size and possibly any sort of Jamming Equipment.

Defense - How well you can take a Hit, a direct counter to an Attacks' Damage.
Shields and Gunpla Armor Modifications boost this, as well as possibly being used as ablative hit-points, but can also induce Mobility and Evasiveness Penalties.

Tracking - How Easily you can Hit something at Range, a direct counter to Evasiveness.
Some low powered Ranged Weapons, like Machine or Beam Spray Guns, have large modifiers/mutipliers to Tracking, but Specialized Sensors and other such Gunpla Modifications can affect it as well.

Physical Power - How Hard you hit in Melee, basically your unarmed attack if you run out of weapons.
Melee Attacks ARE NOT countered by Evasiveness, you only need to be able to make contact with whatever Melee Weapon or Body Part to the targeted Enemy.
As such, I'm thinking smaller Melee Weapons will get an inversely larger Attack Multiplier, larger weapons are easier to make contact with after all, so in exchange for that they won't be able to pull off as extreme of damage.
>>
>>14735267
>smaller weapons will do more damage
Should make larger weapons more unwieldy instead. That large Heat Axe you're swinging around is going to require arm verniers to thrust it at a good speed and if you miss there'll be quite a bit of wind-up on your next attack. Meanwhile the smaller Heat Hawk can hack away wildly until you contact with no additional thrust on the arm.
All I know is if I impale someone on my Barbatos Mace and it does less damage than an Armor Schneider something is wrong.

>All I know is if I impale someone on my Barbatos Mace and it does less damage than an Armor Schneider something is wrong.
Nah, that's just going to make things clunky for the sake of simulationism.
Thing is, the Barbatos Mace has far greater REACH, which means it doesn't need to be RIGHT next to the target and you aren't going to need as big of a Mobility Roll to actually get within striking distance.
The Armor Schneider user is going to need to blow more of his Plavsky on MOVING so he can actually touch his knife to the enemy, and even then they might just tank that hit with a shield, then Beam Blast the Strike into nothingness.

>>14735299
>If you're making a MS tabletop rule set then you need to account for grappling and makeshift weapons
Grappling is probably going to be the only case of an Evasiveness vs Psychical Power Roll, where as makeshift weapons will probably just be an unmodified Melee Basic Attack.

I just can't agree with a smaller weapon getting larger damage numbers. The Mace should do more general damage, although I'd be completely fine with the Armor Schneider having a greater chance to ignore armor and hit a joint (think critical hit) which completely immobilizes or even detaches my arm instead of just leaving a huge dent in the armor and limiting movement of that joint like the mace would.

There, broke your system.

If you put enough points on those twelve shields couldnt you just clobber something to death with them?

Shhh. The knife is actually to sharpen the edges of the shields.

Again, this is an argument of simulationism vs gamism.
The Mace, a physical Melee weapon, probably has a large Physical Power MODIFIER, meaning no matter the role, it ALWAYS does +n damage.
The Armor Schnedier may have 3x multiplier, but that just means it's damage is greatly dependent on whatever number it rolls.
If you only put one Plavsky Die into it and end up rolling a One, it only does THREE Damage, which only has about a 50% chance of even getting through a single Defensive Plavsky Die, let alone any Armor or Shields.
If he rolls a Six, well, then he got your Critical Hit, doing a whopping 18 Damage because his knife found a weakpoint.
Of course, the actual balancing math need work, but the idea is the greater risk you take for getting in closer, the greater the payoff might be.

As for actually measuring damage, I'm thinking something like Limbs are destroyed first, then probably the head, and when you loose your Torso your finally dead.
>>
>>14735388
Might as well go full Battletech for damage. You roll to-hit, and the number you roll determines where you hit on the Gundam. You might want to mess around with the whole CT/LT/RT allocation and a head destruction would just severely limit your visibility instead of killing you/destroying the MS (although there are rules in Battletech for torso-mounted cockpits, so it can handle Mobile Suits just fine)
>>
>>14735360
>There, broke your system.
You think that, but:
-Movement and Evasion are two different Stats

-Defensive Mods incur Movement and/or Evasion Penalties

-You actually have to touch your knife to my model

So you are more than welcome to come at me full bore Io, just remember that I might just Itano Circus your shields off while kiting and then plinking your limbs off.
Go ahead and do a quadriplegic headbutt, it will amuse me!

>>14735366
>If you put enough points on those twelve shields couldnt you just clobber something to death with them?
Yeah, there really isn't anything stopping you from stating your shields as weapons, it's just AS shields they'll be the first thing that blows up.

>>14735387
>Huh, might make my own system.
Go right ahead man, I'm just spit-balling here.

Eh, I'm against going FULL Battletech, as it's a bit too clunky, but I did have Mechwarrior in mind when thinking about limbs being blow off and such.

Basically, due to PLOT ARMOR, any shot that would hit the Torso is instead blocked by any available limb or the Head if it's still there.
Any Weapons or other Components on a destroyed Limb are considered lost, unless they were something Hand Held that the machine still has a Manipulator left to hold it with, while destruction of the Head results in a Tracking Penalty.
Now, while the Torso can't be specifically targeted, everything ELSE can, meaning you could Headshot a fool and leave him needing to reroute Plavsky to his Auxiliary Sensors just to hit anything, or LITERALLY disarm him to make him Monty Python's Black Knight.

How about having effective ranges? Anything less than the effective range or anything more, there'll be a range penalty.

Well I don't know about having penalties for less than effective range, but yeah, that's kinda what I was thinking...

Thing is, how do we do scaling?
What's our Distance Unit going to be?
Decimeters?

I'm kinda using Brikwars as an example, so stats are usually based on somethings length, but do we stick with Metric and determine base Weapon modifiers/multipliers by centimeter length in comparison to your standard beam saber (Shorter, like Heat Hawks, get multipliers, larger get bonuses)?

It all needs ironing out.

>penalties for less than effective range
If you played Wasteland 2, you'll know what I'm talking about. In it, long barrel weaponry are given a penalty when in close quarters, to simulate them being unwieldy in the situation

>What's our Distance Unit going to be?
My suggestion? Hexes, like Build Fighters.

1 Hex has the area of 93.53m2, with each side being the approximate length of the RX-78-2 arm.

Pic related is my combat range system. My ruleset involves all melee weapons having the same range, but with different rules regarding damage and use.
>>
>>14735676
>My ruleset involves all melee weapons having the same range
So a dagger and a GN sword V have the same range?
>>
>>14735693
For now, yes. I still have to balance it though, it IS a very basic system.
>>
>>14735642
It's another of those side mangas involving Lady Kawaguchi.

Get it? Ready/Lady?

>If you played Wasteland 2, you'll know what I'm talking about. In it, long barrel weaponry are given a penalty when in close quarters, to simulate them being unwieldy in the situation
I understand the concept, I just don't want to implement it because it would clutter up the rules.

Besides, if we use "Measured from the end of the barrel" standard, longer weapons might become useless as an enemy becomes too close to actually shoot at.

>My suggestion? Hexes, like Build Fighters.
Oh... HELL No.
If it was a miniatures game, maybe, but I'm aiming for something people can play with a couple Models, a handful of D6s, and a meter stick.

Hexes REQUIRE a mat, and at that point does your game become bound by table surfaces!

Not particularly, but it's nice we're actually getting something of a character from her.

Yeah quanta, my favourite kit
>>
There's two tabletop games for Gundam kits already out though, http://www.ironhands.com/MSera.htm and https://www.reddit.com/r/BuildFightSystem
I mean sure, one is UC only and pretty much only for unmodified High Grades, and the other is Reddit crap, but it'd probably be easier to cannibalize the two's rules and refine that.

>clutter up the rules
My workflow usually goes "See what's cool, and streamline from there", sorry

>Measured from the end of the barrel
That's not it, I'm talking about generalizing weapons into basic groups: i.e. Automatic Rifle or Two-Handed (Blade) or Shield, and each basic group has a special property.

Ex.
>Automatic Rifles fire in 3 round bursts (so 3dwhatever)

>Two Handed (Blade) can do Slice Damage to limbs faster than One Handed (Blade) but miss more often. Slice Damage guarantees more hits than Crush Damage, but when a limb is Sliced, it can still be repaired (maybe by using a repair bot like in GBF Try?)

>Shields can do Crush Damage and lessen damage, especially vs weapons with the Beam Modifier. Crush Damage misses more, but deals more damage per hit, and when limbs are Crushed, they can't be repaired.

In addition, one can add the Beam Modifier to certain weapons, so it does more damage against unshielded opponents, but less damage with shielded ones.

I admit it's pretty cluttered but that's what I got so far.

>couple Models, a handful of D6s, and a meter stick
Might I suggest via inches, then? 3 inches for Close Range, 6 for Medium, and 9-12 for Long?
>>
I don't know much about /tg/, but an anon about a year ago did gunpla tabletop using a modified version of Mobile Frame Zero rules if you wanna consider looking at that.
