V3 and Super-1, IMO. V3 is like the original series, but with more focus on children of the week and a worse cast in general, IMO. You might still enjoy it if you aren't bothered by the increased child focus though. The last 10 episodes or so with Riderman's plotline are excellent too. So, making it to the point might be worth it.

Super-1 has a fairly bland cast but some neat elements in the first half but the 2nd half is extremely boring and loses almost everything unique about the show (and also brings back the Rider scouts, now including 5 years old because why not!). It hasn't been subbed anyway.

It starts like an inferior remake of the original series with faster action scenes - but it kind of stumbles on some important points, like never focusing on Tsukuba Hiroshi not feeling human anymore, unlike Hongo.

There are a couple of good episodes in the beginning though, in spite of those problems, like one where the monster of the week recovers their pre-brainwashing memories and is basically the victim.

After a while though, they throw away all that and change to a much bigger action focus, which I felt like worked better for what the show was. Starting from episode 20, the first seven Riders start making guest appearances too. There are around 20 episodes with past Riders starting from there. They all eventually even get focus episodes with their original actors too, aside from Rider 1 and Amazon. They also do stuff like featuring the Jonan university from the original series again. Really, Skyrider starting from Stronger's return ends up being the show that feels most like it's part of a big shared universe which is pretty great in its own way.

Due to Decade going with that weird AU idea, there isn't any other tv show that feels really like Skyrider for the Rider franchise.

When Shirakura said he couldn't get Tsuburaya to do a crossover between Heisei Rider and Ultraman, there was something completely wrong with that statement. He didn't need to bring it up at all unless he was hinting something else.

Yes, Freeze(I love the Design) would fit, but ProtoDrive never had contact with him(in his form), making it odd. Makes me wish that Freeze was the one that fucked Chaser up at the beginning, leaving Heart as Shin's complete rival(More so).

Also there's the thing of Freeze likely never getting a Figuarts.

Basically an extension of the original. Rider man's arc is great and Hiroshi Miyauchi plays the same glorious douchebag he does in everything.

X doesn't get enough love. The monster designs are totally goddamn bonkers, but the show gets rather dark at times. It has a few early attempts at serialized story arcs, and Apollo Geist is a smooth criminal.

Amazon is adorable and so over-the-top with its neon-colored gore that it transcends the entire series and becomes its own bizarre thing. Also pretty short episode count.

Probably the best Showa series. Best villains in Showa, hands down -- a bunch of charismatic assholes bickering with and double-crossing each other. Shigeru has a great personality. The serialized fights against Delza Army are cool, and the commanders have nice suit designs. Tackle's story will give you feels.

>Skyrider

Kind of bland until the mid-way point, when it becomes the best anniversary project Kamen Rider has ever done. Fuck Decade, Skyrider should be the model for crossovers. Guests appear frequently, express personality in and/or out of suit, but don't steal the show. Also, the ending to Skyrider is completely fucking insane. I know some people disagree with me, but I personally like this show more than Stronger.

The opposite of Skyrider. Has a lot of cool motifs in the beginning, but the second half is total shit, worst Showa hands-down. The goofy monster designs based on inanimate objects are almost its save grace, but for some reason 90% of the later episodes focus on the Rider Scouts instead of the Rider, who slowly fades into the background. If you like watching whiny 3-year-olds fall off their tricycles, knock yourself out. Otherwise it's garbage.

Has a wonderful '80s aesthetic. Everybody talks about Black like it's a masterpiece, but be aware that most of it is actually quite episodic. The first episode is great, though, and once the story kicks into gear, it's amazing. It's just a question of whether you'll enjoy the ~20 episodes of Kotaro helping out whiny children in the middle of the series.

Blackfags hate RX for desecrating their golden idol, but I actually think it's better than Black. Sue me. Bets insert songs in the franchise, dials the '80s shit up to eleven. He has a car and a lightsaber! I also like how all the villains belong to different "factions" with their own design aesthetics. Just be aware that the crossover at the end kinda sucks, and it's not very respectful of the original Black.

I'm feeling quite good about Ex-Aid's main director. He directed some of the best episodes of Wizard and is mainly a Sentai director, being a main director for Gekiranger, Shinkenger and Gokaiger. Ex-Aid's in good hands and will probably have some incredibly fun to watch fight scenes.

He's also really good at writing hype first episodes.

Just started Fourze (only seen W, Amazons, OOO and the First) and man this is fucking great
No matter how many times I see it, I always enjoy high school settings and all the accompanying tropes and character archetypes. Hell, even the main theme of making friends is great, I really enjoy that kind of stuff, as cheesy as it is (teared up in the OOO movies when Eiji said everyone is precious to him and one big family). Maybe it's just the perfect kind of escapism from the shitty real life.
Anyway, 4 eps in and the show is fuckin FUN and lighthearted, I love it. The characters are really well-cast too, especially the football Chad and JK. Miu really reminds me of a JAV actress. OP is really nice, too.

It's... there. The action is serviceable, but nothing special at all, pretty much like minor battles in tv episodes aside from the giant CG monster at the end.

Drive and Ghost hanging around during most of the movie was nice, but it's kind of hurt by the writer (who was a new guest writer who didn't writer either Drive or Ghost) seemingly disliking a talking belt and keeping Krim without lines unless absolutely necessary. That hurt some of the Drive side of the movie. Krim's introduction itself ends up feeling completely random.

The resurrected Roidmudes and Chase are completely wasted too.

But seriously, check this shit out in comparison to that. Well-articulated, closer to the original body proportions, and GekiChopper legit looks nice, to the point I bought one off Ebay.

Only problem is visible screws and being made of cheapy material and probably lead-based paint.
