Now that I think about it, what does Yuji and company do for a living? Yuji pretty much lost everything thanks to his douchebag uncle selling off most of parents' shit, Yuka's a schoolgirl, and Kaido's a bum who dropped out of music college. The place they live in is owned by Smart Brain too. Did Yuji inherit a lot of money or something?

I know this seems to be a running theme with a lot of Rider characters since you never know what the hell their day jobs are at times but it's just weird since Yuji's group are presented as rebel orphenochs but you never feel like they're in danger of getting snuffed out by Smart Brain even when they're living on borrowed property

Kamen Rider Snipe is called Hanaya Taiga, who works at the Genmu corporation.

Nurse chick is an "ally to Riders" and helps them in battle, gives Emu his GamerDriver. Her name is Asuna, her idol form is Poppy Pipopapo and is a secret.

First/main Bugster is named Parado and his form is the Graphite Bugster.

It's not a hate so much as it is just a constant feeling of disappointment from the show itself. Tsukasa and his actor, however, made up for a lot of the fuck-ups the shows had. It's actually kind of impressive, a lot of writer flip-flopping and Tsukasa's character never really got botched or forgotten, and he's managed to develop without feeling too different over the years, courtesy of the various movies.

Well, from what we heard in terms of rumors (That were proven true), the Bugsters infect people and make them ill, and Emu discovers this while dealing with a patient. So there's the connection as to how he gets involved. Presumably, Totally-Not-Smart-Lady then gives him the Gamer Driver from Genmu Corp which he uses to fight Bugsters. Same happens with Snipe and Brave.

As for Genmu, I dunno what's going on there.

You know, this feels like it perfectly sums up the ending of the show. So many unanswered questions and loose ends wrapped up really quickly, Yuji's initial heel turn made sense but the face turn back for the ending was too rushed to really matter, they were unable to make the final battle mean much (they didn't even bother playing hopeful, optimistic music!), and we get stuff like Kiba telling Takumi he has no idea what to do before dying and this

I mean what the hell, Ryuki's final arc was incredibly bleak and depressing but even then the stuff before the reset was still incredibly optimistic and hopeful, whereas I don't get any sense of closure or satisfaction from this final arc. It's such a shame since while there was too much drama, misunderstandings, and silly/infuriating plot points along the way Faiz was doing ok for itself

Oh, I wasn't talking about the implications of Takumi dying. On paper it's a neat idea because it's supposed to hammer in the memento mori aspect of the show, what with the Orphenochs being blatant homages to the Orpheus myth and how these supposed "next stage of evolution" are doomed to die because in the end they're still human but are basically unable to accept that they're supposed to die

My problem is that in execution the themes aren't transmitted all that well in my opinion, the final battle is a dude because of strange direction and Kiba's sacrifice not meaning much, the tone of Faiz's epilogue ending is nowhere near that of, say, Kuuga or Agito's even when Inoue was blatantly going for that, Smart Brain collapsing way too easily, etc etc

Basically what I mean by closure is that this suffers from the typical Inoue syndrome of having fantastic ideas on paper but having a hard time landing the ending properly. What spoilers I've read of Kamen Rider 4 are pretty cool though, and it feels like a pretty good continuation of the ending Faiz was going for

If that is the game you want play, then I am sorry you are too autistic to have fun.

Though the anime eye aesthetic still bothers me, and some of these new shots demonstrate why. Because these eyes are fixed looking in one direction, it makes certain actions look awkward because the eyes are not looking where you think they should be. Like for a Rider Kick, you expect the eyes to be pointed downward either generally or specifically at the opponent. Riders of the past didn't have sculpted pupils, so this wasn't a problem.

Snipe will probably suffer from it the least since his weapon needs him generally looking forward anyway. Good, because Snipe is so far my favorite base suit of the season. That helmet is just too good, even with the eyes.

Depends on what you mean by "reverted". No one remembers meeting Takumi during Rider 4 or his sacrifice there, but his sacrifice itself and the revelations about the past (his friends dying and then Takumi himself) still stick which is why he isn't around in the epilogue and disappeared from the picture. That's pretty much the most conclusive ending there is for anything Faiz related.

I don't have all the details, but he basically injured his leg some time before Drive - which is why he isn't in it - got surgery, and ended up goign from having a lot of potential to having to limit himself due to the pain it causes him. Watch Necrom's fights, notice how he only does a couple of swings before the camera cuts, as opposed to Specter (Watanabe) and Ghost (Takaiwa) who will usually do a lot more.

It further helps that Eitoku is apparently seeking other work elsewhere anyway, and may be leaving JAE.
