So occasionally SRW has people on foot show up briefly in gameplay, people taken from /m/ series who can fight against giant robots with only their own ability. Basically a scripted battle and then they bugger off.

In GC, FG and GF required no effort, because everything was model based and animations had very little movement so they could just mix and match pieces. In OG, with full HD sprite animations, it wasn't gonna happen.

I'm starting the Sunrise Eiyuutan series. Anyone has any prior experience? I played a little of Battle of Sunrise (last game), and it's not very good at all, it seems like a weirder SRW. Sunrise Eiyuutan 1 is much better than it, mostly because it mixes a VN with an RPG, while Battle of Sunrise is pure SRPG.

For anyone who doesn't know, it's a game set in a world where there's floating islands with cities on them - each floating island has a theme (VOTOMS, Gundam Wing, Aura Battler) and so on. You start fighting some Aura Battlers, and soon you meet people from Cowboy Bebop and Big O.

The battle system is a little weird, if repetitive.

FF1 through 10 had their charms but I'd never say I was a super big fan of any of them.

HQ gear is still in demand for certain classes, plus most people are too lazy to craft things themselves and thus buy off the market. In addition, the glamour system makes certain items far more desirable than usual as you can make your super powerful but shitty looking gear look like that super shitty but awesome looking gear.

11 is a pretty distinct experience from the rest of the games, it doesn't function like the others at all.
If you want to get into it I'd recommend 4 since it has a pretty big cast of characters and the story is pretty nice. TAY is kinda eh though

I really miss FFXI's simpler look and the fact you only needed the keyboard to do anything ingame.

Mouse-based interactions are just so slow and poorly put together in this.

Apparently Joel from Vinesauce did a stream where he had pretty much any NES/Famicom rom downloaded and played them at complete random and he had gotten SRW2, He didn't get a chance to play it cause of how slow the screen crawl is and accidentally saving and quitting, but he did learn about the franchise and showed his viewers the Rocket Punch from Mazinger Z's intro

I have all of my commands necessary for tanking set up to be used with my left hand, so it's definitely possible. (I know with numlock on that 0 on the keypad is the action key, I use it when logging in because it's infinitely easier than using the mouse to click.)

generally Warriors are better than PLD's due to damage and their ability to eat a shit ton of damage at one time but PLD is a pretty reliable class overall nonetheless
If you want to see shitty tanks look at the DRKs

DPS classes tend to vary between raw damage and utility
BRD for example is more focused on utility and supporting whereas DRG and BLM are focused on raw damage and Monk falls somewhere in the middle of that
White mages are more focused on pure healing whereas Scholars as you may have guessed are more focused on utility and their summon supports

They're pretty sturdy, considering they're built to survive Festum doing... Um, whatever Worm Spheres are, I forget. The point is it takes a lot to destroy one.

The only Nothung Fafners outright destroyed are Sechs in a suicide maneuver, Ein in what amounts to one, Zwei because it was scrapped for parts, Vier (and then its pilot became a Festum and just outright recreated it), and... Time Prison was made around a sort of tailor made earth that was supposed to be "perfect". When the time broke that earth came out in real space where there was already an earth.
