I don't think that would have been a problem if he actually were AR Kuuga. He was part of the main cast, so getting a focus episode makes sense. The whole problem comes from Sho Aikawa seemingly refusing to use him as Kuuga in spite of having him as a main character. So, even in that focus episode, he doesn't transform or acts like Kuuga - rather than that, his entire plotline there is based on an original element to Decade's version (his crush).

That's really what buried his character. Someone decided they wanted AR Kuuga in the main cast, but it's clear most of the various writers who touched the series weren't comfortable with writing an "AR Kuuga".

To what extent does Decade spoil/ruin any of the the Heisei series? I've only finished Kuuga, Agito, and Blade out of those nine, but I really want to watch Decade while I wait for other series to finish subbing. I want to still enjoy the other series when I get around to them.

Kenzaki from the end of Blade appears in two episodes but I don't think they ever went into the fact that he's an Undead now or anything.
Hibiki I believe carries on from the actual ending? I remember there being something important with Hibiki.
Wataru also appears but he's basically just a spooky speaking man instead of spoiling anything in Kiva.

One of them being the director was planning to do a Joker movie/special after the finale, but the big fishes didnt want to do that, so Matsuoka (Eternal's actor) did a request to them and thanks to that we got Accel & Eternal returns.

That, and thanks to the Philip's actor fiasco, plus the higher ups changing the ending ( Philip should be stayed dead originally ) Shotaro can't get character development in the upgrade apartment.

I don't think they're going to make more AR Worlds. The last time we saw any AR Riders was in Movie Wars 2010. The Wizard finale had an alternate Haruto and Koyomi, but they didn't become Riders and the real Haruto was there too.

Then there's how even going for replacement actors they still ran into problems bringing back AU Takumi for MW2010 (and only the two kids actually appear on set with the main cast). The whole thing really seems like a failed experiment.
