Alain's problem, like tons of other things in Ghost currently is that after the initial plot thread left by the main writer was solved (the 2 parter stuff where he surpasses Nekrom's time limit, the first episodes during the main writer's break), he was pretty much left with no story. The best they could do was a "I'm too weak and need a power up" arc, but without any character stuff associated with it.

I think that 10 episode break hurt Ghost a lot.

Now ghost is shoe-horning in the movie plot and it is actually affecting the show's plot.

Den-O had 2 episodes just to set up the movie, and Climax Form's debut was tied directly to those episodes.

W had the T2 memories from the movie set up in the tv show, and then just disappearing there, and an episode started showing a damaged Fuuto Tower, referencing a movie event.

Fourze actually brought a form from Movie Wars Megamax to the main tv show while giving no tv series introduction to it at all. If you don't watch the movie, it just comes out of nowhere.

It does seem like Toei is pushing it more strongly now as a general direction though, considering how both Drive and Ghost have similar movie and blu-ray tie in stuff in spite of having completely different staff.

Ok, so i just finished Blade, but i dont think i understand the ending. As i understand it,
So Chalice wins the Battle Fight and because he's the Joker the world starts to end so then Kenzaki uses his King Form to force him to evolve into another Joker so that the Battle Fight isn't over. Then Kenzaki says something along the lines of "I'll go where you can't follow me" so they can't fight and the battle fight will never endand then later Chalice goes to the park and Kenzaki is in park and then Kenzaki turns into a bench??? Like wtf??? Chalice can go to that park every day I don't see how the park is somewhere Chalice can't follow him. Like, how does Kenzaki being a bench solves anything. Essentially what I heard of the rumor was that Fourze was about Hongo's grandson. It was pitched as a way to celebrate the 40th anniversary of Kamen Rider. However, along with the tsunami making Toei reconsider the tonal direction they wanted to take with the season after OOO, they ultimately thought Hongo settling down was stupid. So it was scrapped.

I agree with their sentiment, but I do think there would have been heartwarming about depressed and stressed Hongo having as happy a grandson as Gentaro. Would have shown things really turned around for him despite what Shocker did to him.

Considering Fourze was about space, the enemy's powers came from space, and Great Leader came from space, I am guessing that was going to be another way Fourze connected to the original show. Great Leader could have been the final boss, but the premise being scrapped probably lead to the design being used as the Nova form of Sagittarius instead. This part is all conjecture I am making off that rumor and the Nova form looking like it has no business being the Nova form, however.
