I just becam a full-fledged knight! My parents and Kudo-La are surely gonna be proud of me when they see me!
I even got assigned to one of the knight machines, the Raftclans. It's just a standard mass production model, but piloting one is already a privilege toi begin with.
On my way to my next mission to finally take out those pesky Steel Dragons with my brand new mech; I was told not to activate the unit's Larseilam without authorization, but I won't be needing that at all, Granteed's pilot is just a kid, and Bellzelute's just some dumb sow, I got this.
I've waiting for this moment my entire life, wish me luck!

I actually really like the look of the GC mecha from what I've seen. They had Apcines (Braiger enemy), Gilgazamunes (Dragonar enemy), Deathgrome IIs (Dancouga enemy), Ordyes (Original, the thing with the scythe), Regianne's Guardial Blood - which gets a stat upgrade midstage IIRC? - and the Arounzer. I seem to remember them having Jaaku Raijin-Ohs too, but apparently not.

Recycling is something that SRW has been doing for years anyway. We got sprite updates for a lot of units, which was nice, and a lot of the stuff kept the same from 2nd OGs was already pretty damn good anyway.
Really, if they use the same assets for a while in OGs (or more realistically, for one or maybe two more games), all they need to do is give a unit a new attack or a redone finisher.
Case in point, the hype surrounding Overkaiser Sword when it first leaked. Literally the only thing changed about the mech, but damn if it wasn't a delicious change that showed what they can do.

HD was a mistake.
I say that in perfect honesty and not in an ironic manner at all because HD means they can't do tiny simple animations for the greater part of their units (Alpha 2's "out") and all their bigger animations are much easier to pick apart at the seams.
What they need are more God Mars people who are good at making animations very light on movement that actually do have a decent amount of movement in them. But no one would accept that, despite it being show accurate for a great number of old shows.

It meant rather than continuing the natural evolution of assets so the jump between Z2 to Z3 and the jump from non-HD to HD was more natural Banpresto spent a time in limbo where they were just making "assets that look good but haven't progressed enough for what's to be expected of current hardware"
That's why the OGs to OG2nd assets still look good, because all the assets were likely being slowly updated for HD from the start.
While the Z2 assets were simply "make stuff look good for the hardware we're working on"
Thus when the kick in the nads finally came and they were forced to update, all the assets for OG had had plenty of time to be worked on, while they had to start from scratch for pretty much all of Z3.
You know : Making Z a series was probably the bigger mistake, since if Z2.1, Z2.2, Z3.1, and Z3.2 had all been stand alone games, then the time in between the jump could have likely been used make the transition to HD smoother.

This is accurate, but honestly given all of Z's shit they probably were sort of planning a sequel in the first place.
Really, part of the reason I'm interested in V is that while there is some flawed shit that we're seeing in the first trailer, the fact that they're actually smart enough to give the game two or so years from the last game is a sign that Banpresto understands you can't just fucking pump out games over a short period of time anymore and expect it to come out roses. Of course, 2 years might be too short - maybe two and a half or three would be better - but then, they're not making a full series.
The real question is what gets borrowed and what gets reworked. Z3 had good animations, and some of the series that got into V have those. I don't know if any of the attacks in V's trailer are ones direct from Z3 since I haven't played Z3 and don't recognize by sight - I'm assuming at least Zeta Gundam, Strike Freedom, Nu Gundam, and Unicorn were since I vaguely remember them from streams and attack videos, and I know Zambot, Daitarn, Shin Getter, 00 Quanta, Arbalest, and Destiny were new - but if they rework most of the poor animations from those series to at least be passable then that'll be fine.
Now, if they could make the Cross Ange units not look like shit that'd be great. I'm not bringing up Yamato since I'm not sure if the CG was meant to be a placeholder or if they're actually making that a thing, because if they are... well, that's a can of worms of its own, but hey, Zoids will work great at least!

If they actually have the balls to do Z in OG, and Crowe shows up for the Z1 plot, I'm pretty much 100% sure that he'd be playable, with or without the Brasta.
The Z1 plot is all about an awful, world-ending cataclysm and everyone even half-reasonable ending up having to team up to fix it, and Crowe is very much half-reasonable. Just give him his Axio and have him hop on the team for the endgame, or have him be a last stage reinforcement character like Anemone.

Been listening to the soundtrack, The Last Fighter Twin remix is amazing, can't fathom why the GC/XO tracks sound so fucking bad, Fierce Attack sounds like a bad LP record which is a shame since it might have sounded glorious with that funky guitar, Charge the Soul of Fighters was better in its vanilla GC version, the XO one is too cluttered and it's painfully evident they just added some shity samples over the original track.
Moon Knights has a great intro but then it's too cluttered by redundant guitar riffs, still a good arrangement, The Knights of Fury is GOAT even though the melody is nothing special but it does its job well enough, Doomsday is pretty great, probably the best remix of the original J themes, all the other J stuff is ehhh, okay, but I've never cared too much about it even back then, Guardian Angel and Limit Over are kinda disappointing imo, Revenger is very nice, more or less on the same level of Doomsday in terms of remix if it wasn't for that over 9000 violins, but still it doesn't really get me pumped.
Dark Brain's Army is seriously a great theme though.

Factorman broke the causality and fused his Disastranagant with SRX and form DiSRX to help Steel Dragon from being obliterated. After Steel Dragon won, Factorman disappeared from event horizon/void/whatever you name it because he broke his Time Diver License of Causality. Before fading away, he gave the fragmnet of Time Diver License to OG Ayin and OG Ayin mech evolved to Werkbau. Now we have gone full circle.
