In Fifth Stage, we're introduced to an autistic kid that sees wings appear from Takumi's car when he drifts round a corner. In Final Stage, that kid races Takumi and gives up his lead so he can see the wings again, only, he doesn't get to see them so he goes back into first place. Shortly after, Takumi takes first place by his own skill and the kid sees the wings again.

It's a fun show.

As for Dairanger, they were also given access to the HON-HS scripts, but that whole controversy was too late in the production process for either fansub to be a "base" for anything. I do know the DVDs didn't repeat a stupid translation error TVN had in the OP though.

The Zyu and Dai sets are alright, but suffer from some QC and consistency issues. I haven't watched my Kaku discs yet, but they're apparently full of "Oniichan" and "Gattai" and other weeb junk.

It might be worth it to use MakeMKV or something to mux in the MFC/GUIS scripts for Zyu and Kaku to the unencoded DVD video, if you have the space for it. For Dai the DVDs are probably the best translations available though.

Most recurring villains in the original series and V3, Apollogeist in X, Titan in Stronger, General Monster in Skyrider... (Ambassador Hell was kind of an exception, wearing something that resembled a monster suit but with an open face, since his human form costume was originally designed as a live action version of Big Machine from the Rider manga, although he eventually gets a monster form completely unrelated to his main suit anyway).

Really, it only becomes uncommon starting from General Majin midway through Skyrider, but that's exactly due to Sentai influencing Rider. Then later in the Heisei era we go back to villains with human and separate monster forms.

You know how monster's abilities and curses are lifted when they are defeated? Are there any repurcussions of their lifting of their ability that affect a later episode or character?
