The Green Kool-Ade Unicorn sometimes randomly crashes the game when you watch its animations.

We tried comparing notes on crashes, and what we got was "no one has any clue what fucking does it". It's not a single attack, or a battlefield, or an enemy, or what terrain you're on, or stage, or what type of terrain you're on. It just happens sometimes.

With Unicorn it just randomly happens if you watch its animations. It's not horribly common - I probably watched it thirty times and had one crash - but always save before trying to watch its stuff, just in case.

You fuck with shit to get whatever number stored wherever in memory to overflow it's normal boundaries, and because of the way the game was programmed that can often end up changing the values of other shit that happens to be adjacent. Which in Pokemon Gen 1 can be damn near ANYTHING.

For a SRW example, you know how you can freeze the game on the G-Bits stage in Alpha Gaiden if the map gets too crowded? That appears to be a memory overflow as well. Since more G-Bits spawn than the amount you have to kill to get more to spawn, you can actually overflow the value of "This is how many units are on the map right now" into something important, and that breaks the game.

To be fair, space limits of old cartridges made those kinds of shenanigans pretty common. Pokemon has a fuckton of bugs but it's hardly the only game you can pull that kind of shit in.

The Alpha Gaiden bug is kinda silly but considering that's the only stage with enemies spawning faster than you can kill them I can kinda see how they wouldn't have predicted that happening when they made the engine, and how they overlooked the bug. Yes.
Due to my not having many units in the early game to use at all I've had to use every available resource to me.
I've had to field battleships as extensively as actual units, as half the time my fighting strength boils down to Emma, Reccoa, Luna and maybe Hikaru/Maria if they can bother to show up.
Besides Setsuko herself, but her unit isn't really that good until she moves to the unit 1, or even the Kai.

The early game of Z is quite hostile for an all girls run, unless I was on a subsequent playthrough with money and PP out my ass I don't think it's possible to achieve even half of the first section of SR points.
Actually this game has been retarded to me in terms of hitrate, I can count missing at least two dozen times on percentages all the way up to 95%, and have been regularly getting hit on 10's.

A combination of Z never being meant to be a series and Banpresto's policy of always jumping into a console at the end rather than at the start IMO (which is generally a good one considering games like Impact or MX Portable, but not here)

Well, it's been a shaky first part of the game, but we're in good shape now.
Been splitting my money half into units I use, and half into side units for my pilots to use when they get kicked out for event deployment shenanigans.
Especially units that have carryover that I can take advantage of later on. And technically the Impulse, as even though I can't use it now, Luna will inherit it with full upgrades once Shinn gets his precious Destiny.

I took for granted the ease of which I passed D due to my having used my repeat saves. I've done no such thing here.
Which is why I got basically wrecked the first half of this game and got almost no SR points. Bah.

Jun has that weird targeting thing that he can also use to target Tsugumi's explosion, Silvia and Sirius are psychics, Pierre is SHINKU NO FAIYA, Rena's a vampire sort of kind of, Reika's unlucky, and Apollo has his really good senses. Chloe and her brother have the power of being named characters despite never doing anything of note.

Aquarion's a weird show. Most of the episodes of the episodic plot are ok, and all the episodes involving the main plot are shit except the one with Soluna (and that one only because Soluna and the reason they had to do that in the first place), but some of the characters are great and some of the episode plots are fucking amazing.

Compare to EVOL, which started out fairly decent, got buried in a grave, and then never came out. Or to LOGOS which I don't fucking know mate I haven't seen LOGOS yet.
