I can see all the J prologue / early W/ first five stages of @3 stuff being crammed into a maybe five-stage prologue like the one Saisei had where all the horrible shit from Geass, 00, and Getter Armageddon happens at once.

The bulk of 3rdOG being @3, J, and W with some new pieces based off Ryukooh Denki is all but confirmed. On top of that we'll probably get some original content for some of the returning characters, we may get the return of the Shura out in space, and whatever other games they decide to throw in rather than saving them for the next saga. This is the grand finale of the OG Saga that was based off Alpha, after this we'll be starting from scratch with a new story based off the Z series and the DS and 3DS titles.

-Shura: there's still a Heaven class unused plus many super class stored in the castle. Fernando needs to get complete posession, maybe Allion too. Probably a new faction inside will challenge Folka. Swordian and shura gods origin still unknown
-Impact: Beowulf(implying he won't appear) and Zukunft.
-Classical: plot is finished but there may be more rogue Zuvorg factions. Guest generals will return to help for sure
-Great Battle: Pachinko and G-Thundergate need to be truly repaired to achieve its full power. Still neeed the 4th member for the team. Dark Brain will return, maybe with some other original enemies
-A: Axel stuff with Bewoulf and the upgrade to Soulgain
-D: Perfection will return. Ganador and Strega playable. Ventos and Liana might return
-R: missing frames. Duminas will return with Dark Brain, Deuterion form still missing.
-Choukijin: alpha 3 plot. Son Galong already confirmed we're gonna see the other Shirei class, the final Ouryuu form might appear
-Touma: rest of alpha 3 story
-Selena: team needs to be killed for the alpha 3 plot, I doubt it will happen offscreen
-Cobray: will probably be amnesiac and play his alpha 3 story with some differences
-Balmar: alpha 3 story, Kaiser Ephes will be one of the final bosses. Maybe we an actual invasion this time
-MX: only possible thing is Aqua and Hugo piloting each mech alone
-Alpha protags: Exbeins for Ryoto and Rio with Boxer/Gunner combinations. Carla and Yuuki can only be relevant again if they their own Tesla made Koukijin but will never get the bujakuooh/jabukuoh because of the Shin Ryukouh

Plenty of people in the know called those years ago. Ariere was a shoe in with her own Idealant plot mirroring the W series and her entire naming scheme being a remix of the ATX team, OG2 telegraphed it hard with Ouka and the Shadow Mirrors.

Ing was explicitly mentioned by name by Egrett as a actual person and the spinoff manga featuring him was quite notable back then mainly for how comically evil Tetsuya and Kouji ended up in their intro.

MTDM Launcher's the strongest ammo-based weapon, but still pretty shitty and low on ammo. Twin Magna Rifle is the strongest F-type weapon. Hyper Beam Rifle S is slightly stronger than Linear Missile Launcher for ALL weapons, but Linear Missile Launcher has much more ammo. SvN Getter has a scene where Go's explicitly told that all of Neo Getter's attacks run on the same lever, he pulls the lever and uses a voice command to pick the attack to use.

OGIN plays with it a bit, they're selecting their attacks from a menu the same way you do in the games complete with attack power values.

AGE-1 Glansa in BX, Flit was fucking ridiculous with his 9999 power nuke, combination attack and MAP nuke. He will legitimately pass up even the Nadesico Y-Unit that everyone harps on about for kills in those last 7 or so stages. Neo-Granzon in just about anything, it was especially bad in DP making most of the game a snorefest as Shu leveled everything. I wanted to say Granzon in everything too but holy shit was he awful in OGG which actually buckled the trend.

Alegrias/Banpreios in @3 with a horribly broken post movement MAP that did way too much damage and rendered all resistance futile. Kicker is they're not just good at mook killing, they hit stupidly hard when they need to throw it down. It's especially impressive when you consider the easily abusable Ideon exists in this same game that they can still be more useful.

SRX in OG2/OGs/OGG/2ndOGs, HTB Cannon spam is pretty much a stupidly broken tactic that renders every boss dead in 1 turn without exception.

UX's Zhuge Liang as a tactician, he didn't even have to lift a finger to be broken with his stupidly good tactician bonuses. Forget Demonbane or Liber Legis this guy made everyone broken.

Holy trinity in K, S-Freedom/Dann of Thursday /Solvrias Rex solved everything on their own. Together it was simply game over.

Maybe even bring in something like the fields of engagement from the old G-Gen games like F where you can have multiple battles in the air, land, sea to make terrain rankings more meaningful.

Damage type is solid/energy/special, elements are added in case series like Rayheart are present, general heat/cold damage modifiers are present as well.

Money/PP is gained through general performance which is calculated by number of units taken down and lost plus number of turns and other factors like secrets unlocked in a stage or number of enemy parts broken.

Spirits get a huge modifier revision and get a activation percentage like Front Mission 2, Ace Bonuses are dynamic and change based on the unit's behaviour, focusing on melee gives you a melee related Ace and so on.

Certain units cannot be deployed in certain environments or don't get terrain bonuses, seriously, Daitarn gets more evasion by being in a forest tile? lolno.

You can capture enemy units like GC.

Multiple fucking endings.

By K standards it's great. When you have a 4300 power attack for 30 EN, in a game where most attacks of that level range from 50 to 80 EN (except Vulking, Vulking has a 4200 power FREE move what the hell) that's really good.

It's less that I don't like it and more that it doesn't make sense in a SRW context. Crossover plots will usually require specific characters for their events. And unlike Fire Emblem where they can pull a "too heavily injured to fight but still alive" on plot relevant characters, here there's no reason you can't just repair their bot and send them back to fighting. After all you're already rebuilding everyone else's in intermissions.

Hell, the sci-fi setting makes injuries in general irrelevant because a lot of mecha shows end up with cyborg prosthetics. Look at Combattler, Hyouma got both his arms ripped off, all it did is get him robot arms and the show went on.

I don't think that nerfing something is the way to go in this case, the problem is that the enemies are generally made of paper and do basically no damage. I would probably use OG1 stats and attack power but maybe give enemy units slightly more power or abilities like newtype lv4-5, NEO's damage attributes is also something I would like to implement in my srw. Lastly cross-series interactions would also be relevant in gameplay terms, for example the Mugan's barrier reduces every attack's damage by 25%/2000AP but if a unit can use a drill (ex. Unless my SP regenerates I only ever spend it on bosses. And even then I'm still stingy as fuck because I'm the kind of person who buys 99 of every ailment cure and then almost-never uses them because the status wears off on its own/after battle/isn't all that debilitating in the first place (or in the case of Blind in FF6, doesn't even work properly).

OE's Double Action for enemies had the interesting property of requiring them to have both their actions need different weapons, which helps against using their double turns to just pile on one guy, which might be a nice mechanic to steal for Continuous Action

Wouldn't work in a game where units have a whole bunch of "duplicate" weapons though.

Putting together all the series is surprisingly difficult. At least, linking them stage to stage without it seeming too awkward like going from Town A to Town C back to Town A then to Town B then City A then City C, when all those locations have different show plots to work in.

Probably more important to make sure that units that join later give you good reason to actually field them and timing upgrades for certain units so they don't go obsolete

What I found is a good idea to do for my cast list is have big bursts of one/two series plot, until eventually things fold back over to Japan. So Gundam travels all over the world with Dragonar and Dendoh and one or two other series that make sense to have travelling follows along, occasionally stopping to add Heroman plot, until eventually it goes back to Japan and Mazinger/Getter/whatever the fuck else plot happens.

So my first route split starts before you control any unit - multiple character choice yo! - and has one half start in Japan, then head to Darius to do Gaiking (and a little Getter) plot, while the other starts in Side 7 and does Gundam/Dragonar plot with a quick stop in California to help Heroman out, and both have a stage with one series that starts in Japan sitting in the middle of that - then both make it to Japan and Dual's plot starts, Zambot starts heating up, and a whole bunch of things begin to fit together.

Also: Kouji And Ryoma Die In Magma.

And as for the UC stuff, the further you get in the more whittled down it gets. You trim the fat off Zeta/ZZ/Stardust/CCA by the end it's just the main pilots and suits
