So, I've watched Kamen Rider as it aired for a couple years now and gone back to watch some series I've missed.

Never really watched Sentai though I did watch Power Rangers as a kid.

I know most people recommend Go-Busters to KR fans, but I don't really care about it feeling like KR specifically. What matters to me is (in order from most important to least)...

I think the worst part is that animals will probably mean the fighting style is slashing and clawing, which I really don't like. Watching Gingaman has been hard for me, because I truly don't like that style of fighting. Just doesn't give me the suit action and expressions that I get from more standard fighting.

Kamen Rider got overly themed with Blade, which was 10 years ago. Sentai did so way earlier and the motifs started mattering in the show since Zyuranger which was 20 years ago, of course sentai has more repetition.

I don't think that'd the case though. If you look at Drive's toyline, there's nothing there indicating that it's a police themed series. The merchandising is all about various types of vehicles, and yet that has little to do with the show.

The Yokai Express is now departing. Destination: the darkness of the Terminal Station.

The Ninningers receive an invitation from the “Ninja Land of Dreams” to meet legendary ninjas such as Hattori Hanzo, Fuma Kotaro, and Sarutobi Sasuke. However, they end up boarding the Yokai Express! In an illusion created by the yokai Wanyuudou, the Ninningers find themselves in a pinch. Luckily, the group that fought against the Shadow Line and stopped the world from falling into darkness, Ressha Sentai ToQger, appears.

According to them, the “Ninja Land of Dreams” is actually the “Dark Ninja Land”. A remnant of the Shadow Line, Dark Doctor Māburo, has created evil clones of the legendary ninjas that the Ninningers were set to meet in order to lure them out. Takaharu, as AkaNinger, is wrapped in an aura of darkness, which creates a hybrid ninja called “Dark AkaNinger”.

Takaharu’s Nintality is lost and then Takaharu himself disappears. The Shuriken Sentai and Express Sentai must join forces to fight back against Dark Doctor Māburo and his evil ninja clones. They’ll combine their Nintality and imagination, as well as the power of family, to face this crisis!

I finished watching Ohranger recently. It's inoffensive, but generally not that good and probably my least favourite sentai out of the ones I've seen

Anyway, am I the only one who thinks the 4 part finale was a bit shit? Everything comes off as overly-convenient and easily preventable, even by sentai standards, making the heroes look like incompetent morons.

The former. However, some of these appearances are massive spoilers for the aftermaths of some shows. That aside, one person from more or less every team gets their time in the spotlight, and they're treated with respect (the Carranger and Jetman tributes, in particular). Though it helps that old writers made a comeback, too.
