>Kamen Rider Ghost EP 6 Preview
Why is Specter's design so mush better than Ghost's?
Ghost is friendly and timid. Specter's dangerous and intimidating.
Specter uses Bachiri Miro.
They have the same belt.
>all this lewd on a lazy Sunday
thank you for dumping
Of course it does.
Forgot to number that, sorry.
16/16, and that's it. If there's more Kivala lewds
or better yet, actual hot glue, lemme know.
About a year ago. I was coming off the heels of Gokaiger. Friend of mine told me to watch Gaim. After I told him that fruit samurai was retarded (my fault for judging a book by its cover), he recommended Fourze instead.
Best decision I made ever.
At the beginning of this summer, I finished Den-O, Kabuto, and Fourze. I'm currently watching Drive and (as it comes out) Ghost. I plan on watching double, after Drive. Honestly, I only found out about this general a few weeks ago.
Hows the Gaim series? I like the look of the riders but I haven't heard about the quality of the series itself
I've got a lot more but I don't want to derail the thread that much.
Interesting question. I started into toku with super sentai with Shinken and I always thought back then that kamen rider is "too dark and dramatic" for me in contrast with how light sentai is. But then my friend coaxed me to watch so I started with OOO and that was when Fourze was still airing. And I worked my way through the other series but not chronologically. Now, I prefer KR more than SS based from the number of toys I have of them.
I've been watching since the finale of Kabuto, but I've only been here since 12/07/14.
Been watching Rider since summer 09 when I randomly found Decade.
put your trip back on, takenoko-kun
>all these people in here who got in way before I was
The closest I can get in relation is >>13474687, I got into Rider and this general when Drive was around episode 32, and I've seen all of post-Decade Heisei (except Wizard since it's shit), Kuuga, Kabuto, and now I'm doing Blade and Amazon.
I've seen a few episodes of V1 and that's about it because I haven't really paid attention to Showa at all.
Started watching nearly a year ago with Fourze. Largely because I kept seeing screenshots of
Tomokoand webms on other boards.
As for /krg/, maybe only 6 months at most; I'm barely a fetus. I rarely ventured out of my regular boards so I didn't even know /m/ had non-mecha related generals.
Just in case you didn't make it clear enough the last time we talked about /ssg/ that you are afraid of vaginas.
I wonder how old you are in reality.
You can't blame him. After all, there are only fifteen famous people in the world, and they both need fifteen Eyecons. It's not like you can find THIRTY famous people to get Eyecons from. That's ridiculous!
You may think it is as bad as Wizard. But it is nothing like Wizard, and Gaim's problems aren't the problems most people associate with Wizard.
Not knocking Wizard at all. It wasn't flawless, but I still like it. Though I definitely think it's better enjoyed marathoning rather than watching week to week.
I can dig it.
Doesn't help that his design isn't all that spectacular either.
>Not liking motherfuckin' DIAMONDS EVERYWHERE
>Liking messy, cluttered and overdesigned messes that are extremely toyetic
Gaim had some good shit but suit designs weren't one of them aside from Kachidoki.
As simple as Wizard's designs were they're just that, simple. I feel wizard is TOO simple and Infinity is the best one simply because it can "pop" and looks BEAUTIFUL. Black knew how to make a black outfit work, something about Wizard seems off.
The Zodiart designs were great for the most part. For example, take my boy Perseus. Magnificent, ain't he. But Drago? Might as well be a Yummy.
A quite well made Yummy, but still
Amazon looks great, why didn't you do X to round off the 7?
Most of the Yummy designs were alright but the best one for me was Not-Shin
Today's Ganma (who seems to have been given the name Machine Gun Ganma) was voiced by Katsumi Cho, mostly recognizable as Khimari from Final Fantasy X.
Hilariously enough, he was born in the Gunma Prefecture
Get it? Because Gunma sounds like Ganma, and he's being called the Gun Ganma?
I thought it was funny, at least.
holy shit no, of course I had a model
I just learned that this guy is supposedly a cricket. Or at least his contract monster is.
That is indeed his name.
>All Dragon Infinity Gold
>Six bad suits
>Watermelon (It counts, fuck you)
>Duke Lemon Energy and Dragonfruits Energy
>Knuckle in general
>Rider 1 Arms
>20 bad suits
Who is the Crow Hogan of the Kamen Rider franchise?
Shit forms. Knuckle's really fucking pushing it in terms of designs, it's not the worst but it's pretty bad given half the gimmick of the Gaim forms is garish, loud colors and Knuckle's is just plain and ugly.
February of this year, I got interested in starting because of people dumping Drive webms
in the Flash TV series talkback threads.
Then proceeded to marathon literally a dozen series over the next six months.
Is Gord not good enough for you?
I had gotten into Toku about a year or two ago with Gokaiger after getting back into Power Rangers (long story there) and I had known about Kamen Rider for a while before that point but never really watched it. It was around the time Drive was announced I decided that I was gonna watch that when it was airing (mostly due to seeing his suit for the first time and deciding that it was the stupidest shit ever so I absolutely had to watch. During Drive though I went and watched OOO and Black to get a bit more into Rider and it's been that way since.
>The rest are garbage
>Flame, Land, and Hurricane are literally the exact same style except for Hurricane's triangle helmet
>Infinity All Dragon has fucking DRAGON FOOT
Ten good suits, not including Phantoms who all look massively better than any monster from Gaim sans maybe Overlord Baron
Actually good suits in Gaim:
Nine good suits at best. Fuck off, Butcherbabby.
>Complaining because the helmet is square or triangle when Water has the worst helmet shape anyway
>Dragon feet is bad now
>Poor man's RaToraTah even though aside from having a lion motif they're nothing alike, and hell, Beast is better
And if you've been watching it since 2005, you wouldn't be praising Gaim for good suits. Try again, this time without acting like seniority equates to superiority.
Crow was originally the Dark Signer villain and had a different character design all together but things got changed and Blackwings did well so they had to get shoved down our throat and all of a sudden he was a Signer instead of Rua and all of a sudden he now have a Dragon that was hidden within his D-Wheel despite not being at the battle 5000 years prior.
Pic related is Crow's early design on the top right.
Just over 2 years ago, when my now girlfriend suggested I watch it. Her and her Brothers have all watched it for years and recommended I start with Faiz. After that I jumped to Kabuto and Black, Gaim and RX and finally Drive. Ghost is meh so far, but I'm thankful she got me in to KR. We watch together, rant over all the bullshit story threads together, swoon over the good looking cast members together and make all kinds of in-jokes around our friends that only we get. She even helps me with my make up when I'm doing my KR cosplay.
mfw she's definitely a keeper.
Yes but he didn't become one until episode 142 despite his Dragon being teased in its true form since the Dark Signer arc.
It's the face underneath the helmet that ruins it IMO, he looks like a shitty cosplay of Dark Knight Joker in a spacesuit with it. I prefer the newer one they use because it obscures the face and makes him look creepier.
Got into Rider when I was little; I'd watch Black and Black RX VHS tapes that my aunt would bring back from Japan, since she would go there for business. Flash forward to maybe 2009, when some friends and I were invited to this anime club at our college. They were watching that season's latest animu, with TVN's Den-O at the end. Got into Heisei from there.
Power Rangers Samurai was announced and i got curious about it.
I looked through the PR wiki and found out it was going to be a adaption of "Samurai Sentai Shinkenger".
From there I learned about Super Sentai and eventually found the article for Super Hero Time.
I searched about Kamen Rider on youtube and found a bunch of clips, i thought it was cool but besides watching like 2 episodes of Black and trying to watch a random episode of W i wasn't able to get into it.
I stayed in this "Not watching, but still a fan" phase until Wizard in which i just stopped randomly.
I came to 4chan in the begining of 2015 and saw a photo from Gaim X Drive, i got curious and a Anon led me here.
So far i have seen all of W, Gaim, ZO, J and Drive. Working on Black and Kuuga.
A curious question.
How would you feel if Parka Ghosts could speak and interact with their host Rider, much like Den-O's Imagin crew?
Maybe if they just introduced themselves, or gave occasional advice. Other wise there would jut be too many characters to handle.
The fanart I've seen of that sort of thing is really cute, but I doubt it would work well in-series.
My first Rider was Decade when it was airing. I remember getting into Shinkenger because of power ranger nostalgia and then the crossover happened. I thought it was the coolest shit ever and decided that since Decade went to the world of different riders I'd use it as a jumping off point on what to watch next.
I was so fucking pathetic, I remember watching TVN subs on youtube in parts because I didn't know any better.
They're a crook and a flail, which were the symbols of a pharaoh's authority in ancient Egypt.
The cobra likely comes from the traditional pharaoh's headdress, and I'm betting the weapon's a scythe because a) ancient Egypt was heavily reliant on farming, b) the khopesh (an Egyptian sickle-sword) is referenced as the hieroglyphic "sword" determinative on the Rosetta Stone and c) a couple of khopesh were found in Tut's tomb. Also, and idk if it was intentional, but modern forensics have determined that Tut likely died of sickle-cell disease.
i'm the guy who asked ideas about Electricity themed rider in the last thread and so far i have 3 main ideas for the Resistor villain
my main focus is "Electricity", "Energy", and "God"
but not as in "creator" god, it's more of a "deity" god like in the jap literatures
here they are:
1. in the past Gods gave human knowledge about electricity through thunder, and as the time goes some of them become evil and wants to take back the electricity they've taught to humans through forceful manners
2. Earth is on energy crisis because of mysterious accidents on power plants around the world but no one seems to notice, then these mysterious beings starts to appear one by one to distract humans for their grand plan (take over the biggest power plant in the world)
3. one of the Gods from sky (or heaven) got punished and he/she got banished into earth, then said God tried to make a coup d'etat through stealing electricity with his/her army of evil because electricity is related to ascension or some crap
which one do you think is the best? and again i'm totally open to any ideas and opinion.
also sorry for my shit english i'm from belgium
The second one sounds the best IMO, but I think it would make more sense for people (maybe just the power plant bigwigs?) to notice the accidents, but choose to keep quiet about them because it would be bad for business. Or maybe they keep quiet because the mooks are controlling/influencing them? Since the brain uses electric signals and all that.
The ultimate goal also seems a bit small. Like, maybe they want to gain a monopoly on the world's electricity or control the most influential people of the world via electric brain signals, and they need massive power plants for it. Just some ideas.
Why not put all three together? The final boss is a direct opposite of the main Rider and a true demigod of thunder, come down to Earth after being exiled of his god status for his thoughts of how the gift of electricity is "too good for them." Now he is setting out to remove all of it through his own means, being able to summon his own army and corrupt men of power to do his bidding.
The Rider's story can start with the lone scientist who's spent a couple years studying what's been happening around the planet due to the demigod's actions, and creates a belt to become Kamen Rider Charge or Kamen Rider Bolt (name WIP) to combat him and stop his plot to destroy all human progress through the aforementioned motives.
Every day there's a new plot to remove power from the scientist's hometown or any city around Japan/the world and he has to stop the resistors before all the power is permanently sucked from that area.
>Kick Hopper and Punch Hopper have the exact same stats
>Kick Hopper doesn't have stronger kicks
>Punch Hopper doesn't have stronger punches
This is total bullshit.
It's because they're using two sides of the same zecter, and can only draw its full power from one side. Otherwise if they're in regular fight they're on even footing. (at least that's how it should be)
I'm so sorry I ever considered the idea of you being a villain, Ohsugi.
Those chucklefucks didn't even get Masked Forms.
They're a joke.
Speaking of Kabuto, /krg/, if you got a Zecter Rider System what insect would you want to use?
I want a fire fly, where the finisher is a fucking laser.
If the two sides of the Hopper Zecter had different statistics/forms they wouldn't need a masked form.
The centipede could be an entire belt.
What kind of training do Suit Actors do to prepare themselves for the role?
Ignore >>13475716 because he has the brain-power of a lamp.
Truth is, if you wanna potentially be a suit actor in Rider, you gotta be a stuntman working under Japan Action Enterprises. The requirements DO feature martial arts, but most suit actors today haven't done it ALL their life, but you will need good experience in it.
THe bigger requirement is just really good physical acting skills. See Den-O for proof.
How would you write a crossover between these two?
Anything that lets me fly
or heal people.Maybe a Butterfly. Masked form is a Caterpillar/Chrysalis, and the Rider form is a Butterfly.
Takeru for some reason has to fuck every single woman in the DP universe
at the end he gets a
Butch Hartman eyecon that spectre steals. He uses it but then de-transforms and throws up.
If there's an option to be a little more "creative". I've always liked Spider motifs. being able to maybe run on walls for a split second (or even hang off of them) and finisher would be a "spider bite". Weapon could be a grapple gun that has strong retract power.
If there's a scorpion you're more than welcomed to a Spider.
I want a redo of the Hercules beetle. Fuck GSL's version of it. It's got no fluff.
uh so i decided to make a mix of those three ideas even though i didn't want to because it'd be a huge mess of a plot
but because i've told some of the plot i'd rather spew all of the main ideas, prepare for full autism.
the name of the rider will be Kamen Rider Thunder (there is a very, very good reason behind hat)
the main Rider is a 3rd year high school student who has a "gift" from something that his mother called "gods" which is some kind of superhuman strength
the problem is, the only thing that "gift" has brought him is bad luck. because he can't quite control it and he has a really really short temper (even worse than momotaros) even though he has a kind heart. more of his background will be sob stories about his childhood and how his father got killed by his strength
one day. just one week before the final exam, he got expelled from school because he injured a bully who extorted a nerdy student (later revealed that he's the principal's son).
full of rage and sorrow, he went home even though he's afraid that his mother would get sad and dissappointed. but turns out his mother is not home and she got hospitalized (then later she dies) because of unknown electric shock while working part time
having nothing else to make him smile, he cursed the god and the heavens while crying his hearts out. then a storm rages and he got struck by a lightning
i have much more thing to tell but i doubt you'd even get interested in them, but so far my design of the belt is like this:
the collectible thingies are "batteries" which would get charged by the guy's electricity in his body and fuels the power for his suit
and he transforms by pulling a generator-like lever in his belt as strong as possible to make a "vrrrrrmmm" effect and spews electric bolts
Admittedly the Drive Rider Kick is already pretty close to Maximum Spider
>Hating on Kurokage
>Hating on Knuckle
>Hating on Baron
>Hating on Duke
>Hating on Jinba HAHA
>Hating on Zangetsu Shin
>Beast Hyper nowhere on Wizard's list
This is the most bias and bile of shit tastes ever posted in the history of /m/ and I am both delight and sad to have witnessed it's travesty.
As much as I liked my version of the who demigod trying to remove all power bit (making it kinda like a showa series where the plot is simple with lots of room for rider kicks), I won't fuck with your version since it's your story.
About the belt, what does it look like in your head? Because to be fairly honest more modern ideas for levers on belts (i.e. Fourze, Ghost) look fucking terrible. If you can make it a more subtle brick design like a cross between the Decadriver (for the brick shape) and the Blade driver (for a more subtle lever) that'd be pretty good.
Gonna have to disagree to disagree with you on that front, brotorino.
Nah, I like Beast Hyper (it balances out the bright blue and gold color scheme WAY better than Meteor Storm), but his base form is better.
It's funny, those white gloves make him look like a stage magician, but he's the one with the "primal" magic shtick.
it would be interesting, considering the fact danny despite being a teenager and younger that takeru, has already seen a lot of shit and is a quite experienced fighter, and his friends are already quite knowledged and ready for any ghost-related incident, meanwhile takeru and his crew are still green in this, and the most knowledged and skilled people in his side are shady as fuck, or want him dead.
ye actually he wasn't really struck by a lightning, it was
a malfunctioning experiment by a professor to make a weapon to fight the electric keksand i actually want to make it simple like showa with lots of high spirited yelling and screaming because of the short-tempered MC
i can't for the life of me do graphic design or draw so this is pure imagination but you put the battery on the middle of the belt, click an electric switch, then yank the lever profusely
also god fucking damn i can't find any good generator videos on youtube but as you can see on 0:30 to 0:50 in the video i think you'd get the idea about the lever
I like that idea a lot better now. The belt too, I actually understand what you mean by the pull level, I thought you were gonna do some static lever like the Fourze belt.
It looks pretty good so far, keep at it.
Dude, make the belt look like an electric fusebox
The lever can be one of those big old breaker switches.
The problem with that is that visually at least, it'll look way too similar to Fourze's switches.
The action for it I was thinking like Kabuto's Zecter, actually. Slamming those old switches is pretty damn satisfying, there's a lot of weight behind them as they clunk into the other side to complete the circuit.
Elecstates is literally fuses for the sword, but the switches are like switches on a spaceship console. The fact that they can be swapped makes them look like fuses though.
If he used the fuse gimmick it'd probably just end up a copy of Fourze regardless.
yeh using fuses is pretty dank but one of the main ideas is "Energy" which is derived from the Batteries used by the Rider, that's why i used the pull lever because you'd need to force the electric energy from the dude's body to charge the battery
also, i think i forgot to mention that after he got struck by lightning, the main rider's heart pumps out electrical charges on his blood which turns him into a sort of walking power plant
Doesn't he not have compound eyes? I know they're smaller than the rest of the riders in Agito, but aren't they opaque as well?
That reminds me, I could use some help refining a Driver design as well. The gimmick for the series is spirits, the transformation widgets are lighters as modern-day substitutes for ritual candles. I know the lighter slots into the left side of the belt, that there's a recessed jewel in the center which changes color depending on the form in use, and that it has a powerup where the sides of the belt are pulled open to expose the inner workings, the expansion is pushed into the center and the sides come back in to lock it in place.
My main hangup is the right side, which needs to have some kind of lever function for ignition and finishers.
Oh, no, the show suit has solid eyes. The Figuarts and SIC have compounds though.
Sliding the lighter in could go through a piece inside the belt to spark the flint and "ignite" the belt for henshin if you want some detail on that.
And/or on the right side you could have a giant flint to strike with your hand for finishers.
>tfw this week's monster was literally created from a fedora
HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA!
>wearing a watch on a certain wrist is actually code for something
not him but I don't understand this world anymore, can't I just wear a fucking watch and not be branded as Adolf Shitler?
last time i watched kabuto i completely ignored the middle part and jumped straight to eps 40
can someone explain what is this "Dark Kitchen" thing? i saw it being talked about several times
Main Rider's too poor for that shit, though he adds a windbreaker to his outfit after getting his final form to help make him look less scrawny. He wears long sleeves, though, so there's definitely comedy involving setting his shirt on fire.
A flint could work, yeah. Maybe something a bit like a toaster where it's pulled straight down and back up with the thumb?
Dude I live in west fucking virginia, the armpit of the United States, and I have never heard of this before. I know plenty of people who wear watches on their right hand and no one gives a fuck.
I don't know where that other anon comes from, but if it's a shittier place than WV, then I never want to live there.
As someone who's on episode 41 right now, that shit is still fresh in my mind. Dark Kitchen happens in 29-30 before all the totally fucked plot shit about Hyper and
the other Tendou who's Dark Kabuto, also Hiroyi being a worm
It's complete, utter, sheer retardation. It starts with some random monologue about chefs controlling men in power by cooking, and Tendou is given a "Dark Knife" which is used by said chefs, and is told to find its successor. The successor in question is a guy who can control emotions via his cooking, but all his cooking actually tastes like shit as Tendou points out very early on. The guy starts challenging and effortlessly beating all the local restaurants in the city, before eventually meeting Tendou and getting the Dark Knife. Jiiya (Sasword's butler) shows up and challenges the guy to a duel for honor as a chef. Jiiya gets his ass handed to him.
Second part starts. Another monologue about light chefs and a Light Knife.
Surprise surpsie, it's revealed that the Dark Chef is a wormand Jiiya gives Tendou a note to train with Jiiya's brother. COOK THE FUCKING TOWEL happens and after some retarded bullshit Tendou gets the Light Knife. But guess what? Tendou immediately realizes he doesn't need it at all, because "DA TROO POWER OF COOKIN IS HOW YA USE IT" and somehow beats Dark Chef guy then beats the fuck out of him for being a worm. This entire arc is literally never mentioned again.
In short, >>13476200
It's just a filler plot, that focuses on Kabuto's cooking theme. It's not necessary to watch from what I remember, but it's got some of the series' comedic highlights and is a fun watch.
>How long do they usually take?
>meaning in the past, what's the average span of time
>not meaning when will they be done in this specific instance
>hence the word "usually"
He likes to fuck around online instead of making scrubs
I've been thinking about making quality boxes and disc covers for toku shows and kaiju shit and the like that will never come out in America, on commission. So basically people would pay me for the labor of making it, I'd send them the shit, and then they'd burn the actual DVDs or blu-rays themselves, as just a nice thing to have.
Do you think anyone would pay me?
Do you think I'd get a C&D from Bandai for Sentai art on boxes and such, since it's also used for Power Rangers?
Here, I even have a screencap
It happens at the ass end of 39 too.
He was actually dedicated to his work and probably didn't have anything better to do.
If turnip is here right now, what is the next non-blade project you're gonna do? Have you officially decided? Are you gonna ANYTHING after?
I was following him on Twitter, he was commenting on certain things (mostly where TV-N supremely fucks up) as he was scrubbing episodes.
I guess he just has shitloads of free time.
Yeah, around the time Hyper appeared. You said you jumped in at 40 so I figured you already knew about
The other thing about
Hiroyihappens at around 33 I think though so you already know for a good while.
Oh. My mistake.
I want him to tackle Hibiki since I'm interested in that series even though it goes to shit halfway through. That or Faiz, I still don't know if ANYONE is attempting Faiz.
Yongou is asking about the HBV for Kabuto
And he has a comparison.
Internationally? I don't know. Nobody ever gets sued for pirating toku shit, and nobody ever gets sued for selling fanart. To me it seems like you're just allowing pirates to have fanart to stick all over their pirated shit.
I just tried to find as much time as I could to work on each episode.
I haven't really decided on what I'll work on next.
Right now Missing Ace is around 2/3rds of the way done.
To YoY: resolution doesn't fucking matter with a difference that small, the video quality matters. Does BH actually look good compared to TV-N?
>I haven't really decided on what I'll work on next.
That Leangle looks like he's using Fusion Jack.
Well, I do know crabsticks for both X and Super-1 exist, I might work on either of those.
Something I enjoy? Yeah, I could also consider that.
TV-N's subs for that look really bad. I'll keep that in mind.
Same, and even then I was annoyed by all the people who liked Gaim, but only because I'd watched a few Rider series before it ended already and they preached like it was the greatest thing ever and pretty sure that was all they ever watched of Rider ever again.
In a "completely-clad-in-leather-garb" sort of way, yeah.
