At the beginning of this summer, I finished Den-O, Kabuto, and Fourze. I'm currently watching Drive and (as it comes out) Ghost. I plan on watching double, after Drive. Honestly, I only found out about this general a few weeks ago.

Interesting question. I started into toku with super sentai with Shinken and I always thought back then that kamen rider is "too dark and dramatic" for me in contrast with how light sentai is. But then my friend coaxed me to watch so I started with OOO and that was when Fourze was still airing. And I worked my way through the other series but not chronologically. Now, I prefer KR more than SS based from the number of toys I have of them.

I had gotten into Toku about a year or two ago with Gokaiger after getting back into Power Rangers (long story there) and I had known about Kamen Rider for a while before that point but never really watched it. It was around the time Drive was announced I decided that I was gonna watch that when it was airing (mostly due to seeing his suit for the first time and deciding that it was the stupidest shit ever so I absolutely had to watch. During Drive though I went and watched OOO and Black to get a bit more into Rider and it's been that way since.

Just over 2 years ago, when my now girlfriend suggested I watch it. Her and her Brothers have all watched it for years and recommended I start with Faiz. After that I jumped to Kabuto and Black, Gaim and RX and finally Drive. Ghost is meh so far, but I'm thankful she got me in to KR. We watch together, rant over all the bullshit story threads together, swoon over the good looking cast members together and make all kinds of in-jokes around our friends that only we get. She even helps me with my make up when I'm doing my KR cosplay.

Power Rangers Samurai was announced and i got curious about it.
I looked through the PR wiki and found out it was going to be a adaption of "Samurai Sentai Shinkenger".

From there I learned about Super Sentai and eventually found the article for Super Hero Time.

I searched about Kamen Rider on youtube and found a bunch of clips, i thought it was cool but besides watching like 2 episodes of Black and trying to watch a random episode of W i wasn't able to get into it.

I stayed in this "Not watching, but still a fan" phase until Wizard in which i just stopped randomly.

I came to 4chan in the begining of 2015 and saw a photo from Gaim X Drive, i got curious and a Anon led me here.

So far i have seen all of W, Gaim, ZO, J and Drive. Working on Black and Kuuga.

My first Rider was Decade when it was airing. I remember getting into Shinkenger because of power ranger nostalgia and then the crossover happened. i'm the guy who asked ideas about Electricity themed rider in the last thread and so far i have 3 main ideas for the Resistor villain
my main focus is "Electricity", "Energy", and "God"
but not as in "creator" god, it's more of a "deity" god like in the jap literatures
here they are:

1. in the past Gods gave human knowledge about electricity through thunder, and as the time goes some of them become evil and wants to take back the electricity they've taught to humans through forceful manners

2. Earth is on energy crisis because of mysterious accidents on power plants around the world but no one seems to notice, then these mysterious beings starts to appear one by one to distract humans for their grand plan (take over the biggest power plant in the world)

3. one of the Gods from sky (or heaven) got punished and he/she got banished into earth, then said God tried to make a coup d'etat through stealing electricity with his/her army of evil because electricity is related to ascension or some crap

which one do you think is the best? and again i'm totally open to any ideas and opinion.

The second one sounds the best IMO, but I think it would make more sense for people (maybe just the power plant bigwigs?) to notice the accidents, but choose to keep quiet about them because it would be bad for business. Or maybe they keep quiet because the mooks are controlling/influencing them? Since the brain uses electric signals and all that.

The ultimate goal also seems a bit small. Like, maybe they want to gain a monopoly on the world's electricity or control the most influential people of the world via electric brain signals, and they need massive power plants for it. Just some ideas.

Why not put all three together? The final boss is a direct opposite of the main Rider and a true demigod of thunder, come down to Earth after being exiled of his god status for his thoughts of how the gift of electricity is "too good for them." Now he is setting out to remove all of it through his own means, being able to summon his own army and corrupt men of power to do his bidding.

The Rider's story can start with the lone scientist who's spent a couple years studying what's been happening around the planet due to the demigod's actions, and creates a belt to become Kamen Rider Charge or Kamen Rider Bolt (name WIP) to combat him and stop his plot to destroy all human progress through the aforementioned motives.

Every day there's a new plot to remove power from the scientist's hometown or any city around Japan/the world and he has to stop the resistors before all the power is permanently sucked from that area.

If there's an option to be a little more "creative". I've always liked Spider motifs. being able to maybe run on walls for a split second (or even hang off of them) and finisher would be a "spider bite". Weapon could be a grapple gun that has strong retract power.

uh so i decided to make a mix of those three ideas even though i didn't want to because it'd be a huge mess of a plot
but because i've told some of the plot i'd rather spew all of the main ideas, prepare for full autism.

the name of the rider will be Kamen Rider Thunder (there is a very, very good reason behind hat)
the main Rider is a 3rd year high school student who has a "gift" from something that his mother called "gods" which is some kind of superhuman strength
the problem is, the only thing that "gift" has brought him is bad luck. because he can't quite control it and he has a really really short temper (even worse than momotaros) even though he has a kind heart. more of his background will be sob stories about his childhood and how his father got killed by his strength

one day. just one week before the final exam, he got expelled from school because he injured a bully who extorted a nerdy student (later revealed that he's the principal's son).
full of rage and sorrow, he went home even though he's afraid that his mother would get sad and dissappointed. but turns out his mother is not home and she got hospitalized (then later she dies) because of unknown electric shock while working part time
having nothing else to make him smile, he cursed the god and the heavens while crying his hearts out. then a storm rages and he got struck by a lightning

i have much more thing to tell but i doubt you'd even get interested in them, but so far my design of the belt is like this:
the collectible thingies are "batteries" which would get charged by the guy's electricity in his body and fuels the power for his suit
and he transforms by pulling a generator-like lever in his belt as strong as possible to make a "vrrrrrmmm" effect and spews electric bolts

About the belt, what does it look like in your head? Because to be fairly honest more modern ideas for levers on belts (i.e. Fourze, Ghost) look fucking terrible. If you can make it a more subtle brick design like a cross between the Decadriver (for the brick shape) and the Blade driver (for a more subtle lever) that'd be pretty good.

Elecstates is literally fuses for the sword, but the switches are like switches on a spaceship console. The fact that they can be swapped makes them look like fuses though.

yeh using fuses is pretty dank but one of the main ideas is "Energy" which is derived from the Batteries used by the Rider, that's why i used the pull lever because you'd need to force the electric energy from the dude's body to charge the battery

also, i think i forgot to mention that after he got struck by lightning, the main rider's heart pumps out electrical charges on his blood which turns him into a sort of walking power plant

That reminds me, I could use some help refining a Driver design as well. The gimmick for the series is spirits, the transformation widgets are lighters as modern-day substitutes for ritual candles. I know the lighter slots into the left side of the belt, that there's a recessed jewel in the center which changes color depending on the form in use, and that it has a powerup where the sides of the belt are pulled open to expose the inner workings, the expansion is pushed into the center and the sides come back in to lock it in place.

My main hangup is the right side, which needs to have some kind of lever function for ignition and finishers.
