Even professors and people who analyze books for a living are mostly just projecting their own opinion about shit, grabbing onto something and justifying their opinion, unless the author makes it really obvious.

Pretty much any great book written in the last few decades has had its public perception determined by the subjective analysis of a handful of loud voices.
But any great book should be written well enough that somebody can read it and get a lot out of it, without having to read any critical analysis.

I can read up to 3-4 books at a time and understand all of their plots/events/stories (If I'm reading memoirs)

I like reading memoirs over operations books

I own more memoirs than operations books

I've around 120+ books in queue waiting to be read. (60 to be read and another 60 to be bought and read)

Philosophy books bore me to no end and I actively attempt not to read them. (I've read only 3-4)

I have a problem with buying books and then not reading them. I think this stems from my similar problem involving video games.

A friend gave me his copy and asserted its hilarious and a must read for me. I read through the first chapter once a few and didnt have much of a taste for it and never picked it up again. A lot of the content of the plot I find really funny based on what my friend told me about but I could never actually read through it.
