You can go on and off hormones, you can transition however you see it beyond this identity and still identify as such.

Be smart, flexible and try to have safety nets to not fuck yourselves over. I was on and off hormones for years, I'm okay. You can be too.

Try to be in a community of people irl because online while helpful doesn't reinforce your day to day in the same way. If not make efforts to visit each other and maintain community.

how do you know that you wouldn't have looked like that without hrt? it's impossible to know for sure (since we can't go back in time and study you not taking it in addition to the you now who has already taken it), and even with the most advanced models we can only approximate
not to mention the parameters that people tend to consider youthful can vary greatly, typically by culture, age, and gender, and each parameter is controlled by more than just an hrt input
and how young is young? 20? 15? 10? 5? and that's likely to not be uniform, as not all people of the same age (or in general) are the same (especially biochemically)
plus there are many different hrt routes, each one doing something different from the last (i.e. not all hrt is equal)
to even get a set of reasonable data would take a long time (lifelong trials, perhaps), and the types of medications people use now (for this purpose) haven't even been around long enough to get any long-term studies on the health and "youth" effects over time

that said, i don't think hrt is automatically bad even though it may look like it if you don't know where i'm coming from; i'm just saying we don't have enough good data to confidently say much about it
hrt can be a decent alternative to some people for sure, especially if they understand the risks, have had therapy about it, and are willing to do it
some people just take hrt without knowing the risks or the how/why/when of hrt routines and they think they'll "stay cute forever," and those are the people i feel need the most advising before they can go down a path they don't really want to go down
