When people suggest doing squats through transition to get a better ass do they mean just doing squats regularly at home or do they mean weighted squats at a gym?
And what routine should I be following?

Assuming you're on HRT just go do weighted squats.
You could also do dumbbell exercises at home. Dumbbell squats and lunges are somewhat decent even if all you can get are those weights you fill with sand or water.
>>>/fit/ is that way. They probably know better. Still, I bet starting at home with regular squats and then move on into gym and weights, like with any other muscle group.
