I didn't really have dysphoria when I first transitioned, I just wanted to be more feminine in appearance and was willing to undergo HRT to achieve that. Then over time a lot of feelings that were buried deep down came to the surface and I realized that I really did want to be a girl. In retrospect, considering some parts of my history, it makes sense now.
