I write this stuff (animoot) professionally and saw it more than once, I assure you I got the most from it possible. It was a train wreck, poorly paced, and pathetically under developed. They tried to be profound sometimes, and it gets lost in translation. A lot of it just doesn't make sense and characters don't act in character. They tried to be unique it fell trite and short too, like honestly what was up with half the shit at the end? RE-L is an interesting dynamic but without enough space in the microverse to be appreciated for the anti government punk she is. She also works for the bad guys which makes sense, a similar trope psychopass played off. Peno was adorable, but again under developed other than to show the human side of robots. She didn't have a powerful revelation arc or a tight niche within the microverse. Vincent Law is a homosexual fuck boy who literally makes no genuine sense whatsoever. I actually couldn't figure out what his point was other than "male lead lol". The bad guys didn't really hold enough sway over events to seem relevant (the typical immortals right?), and the jealous doctor kid didn't have enough air time to be meaningful when it's revealed he's a punk ass bitch. It's been 3 years since I've seen it, but I still remember it pretty clearly. I kept trying to like it better, but unlike ghost in the Shell, it didn't feel cohesive. Psychopass was just as scattered, but a better paracosm.

Ive been watching a ton of virus documentaries, the world science conference on CRISPR (generic DNA splicing), took a class on microbiology (well I showed up and pretended I was a student), and hurricane documentaries and all sorts of urban exploring to get the sets just right just for the next 2 episodes. I need money unfortunately to start getting more art finished and scripts finalized for production someday. The first Manga should be out in non-highschool note book autism form by 2019 at the latest probably June of next year at the pace I'm going.
