I've been practicing by reading the stupid rainbow passage over and over again, so that fucked up any real progress. This particular clip supposedly is 169hz but sounds masculine as fuck. Any suggestions on how I can fix my actual speaking voice (non reading voice). Have not had much time if at all to practice (30 min 5x a week for 2 months), how long do you typically have to practice for before you can get a good voice?

Judging these all as if I heard them on the phone.

I will rate everybody that posted so far since there arent very many. If you havent posted yet and want my specific feedback you can reply with "do me daddy" and I will consider it... heads up I am generally gone on weekends. Your voice dips too low in resonance at a few points, but when the resonance doesn't dip it sounds very workable, especially at the beginning. If you're straining your voice to be higher, try going lower but maintaining a clear and concise voice that doesn't dip.

I find that male resonance reverberates through the whole chest mostly, and female resonance is mostly in the upper part of the sternum and above. It's really counter-intuitive and hard to change the resonance, but if you can, that'll basically increase your vocal quality ten fold.

Not sure what the other anon is talking about. The softer voice sounds good to me. Sounds like it's coming straight out of the mouth of a cis 20something girl to me, for the most part. There are a few parts where the minor mistakes stand out, which they usually wouldn't but since you're going for a much softer and controlled voice those minor hiccups just seem more pronounced.

Regular voice seems pretty good, again with tiny bits here and there that dip into less feminine sounding vocal tone, but stands out less so here. Very last word in the clyp is probably the least feminine sounding part. Seems like you know what you're doing so I don't have much advice to offer.

Use online video games for that. Practice your voice each match (change things up between lobbies or w.e) and if they freak out because a girl is playing with them you hit the jackpot. (overt)

Decided to try again. Focusing on using the diaphragm, and keeping a soft breathy quality to the clip. I think it makes a big difference keeping your voice soft especially. It is hard to maintain volume though which is it's own issue.

I didn't get there until two years of on and off training. The best thing for me was getting a job that required a lot of talking and then using that to remake my voice. Most people thought I was just an odd guy with a high-pitched voice and didn't make anything of it. Honestly, my loud voice is pretty great and occasionally flawless. I have a lot more power behind my girlvoice than I ever did my boyvoice, too, so if I needed to be heard from a distance, I had to go girlvoice.
