On a different note, do any of you have a good dating service to recommend? I really want to find my bro for the long term. I've tried grindr, scruff, and recently, adam4adam, but they all seem mostly hookup oriented. Which I don't mind exactly, but I really do want to find a serious relationship and thats kinda hard there.

the easiest way to get a guy who looks like that is to look like that yourself.
this is why so many gay men spend a lot of time in the gym.

once in a great while you will find a man who looks like this that likes twinks but usually they like women, or if they are gay then they want someone who looks like them.

of course you can always buy men who look like that, but usually only by the hour or for the weekend.
if you are extremely wealthy then you can get a guy like this but you probably have to buy him a car and a townhouse and take him to Ibiza every year and tolerate him fucking other people.
Beauty comes at a price.

I'm vers, really. In a relationship I'd like to top and bottom, preferably at least 25% of the time at minimum for both. But yeh, I've been tied up before. It's really not my thing I guess. It just doesn't do anything for me.

If you tied me up and then did some bit of muscle worship, teasing, and running your tongue all over me, I could get on board with that prolly.
>>
>>7715235
For me I don't really care about what they do after they tie me up. It's mainly the idea of being totally used by the other guy. Not being able to move makes me feel like even more of an object designed only to fulfill another man's desires.

>>
>>7716640
I'm kinda scared because there is a history of depression/bipolar disorder in my family. I've been reading and it seems that inheriting it is not as common, but still a thing.

I mostly dislike the idea of needing meds because I know people that became suicidal after starting their treatment, including my mom.

But it's getting harder to pretend that there's nothing wrong with me when I don't have the motivation to do anything at all and feel anxiety on a daily basis.

Maybe I don't even need meds, but up until now being blissfuly ignorant was working relatively well. Now it's just ruining my life.

>>7716661
Meds aren't something you can just quit when you have depression or anything of the sort. They usually say that if you feel that you don't need them it's because they are working, but if you stop taking them then the treatment isn't working.
>>

>>
>>7717176
Fyi, I have mixed anxiety and depressive disorder,so my experience certainly isn't the same as yours, but the way I see it is that my illness has, for the last two years, gradually crippled me and stopped me from being myself. I was at my academic peak and I slowly fell, until I could take it no longer.
I went to four medical practitioners until I found a psychiatrist who was updated on latest research and he prescribed me vortioxetine.

The medication hasn't given me any serious side effects — just some silly stuff like crazy dreams and teeth grinding — but it's been helping me. My illness was stopping me from being myself and the medication is helping me. It's not my enemy, it's my friend.

Maybe your mother had the bad luck of being prescribed a medication her organism reacted badly to, but that shouldn't scare you from trying to find good medication if you need it. Seek a good psychiatrist, tell him what's happening and show him which medications your mother used and how she reacted to each one.

>>
>>7717295
>but the way I see it is that my illness has, for the last two years, gradually crippled me and stopped me from being myself

That's mostly what makes me uneasy. In my case, I wasn't doing well until shit went down. I have been feeling like this for as long as I can remember. I probably don't have depression, just anxiety that never goes away. It was bearable when I was little or in high school because if I felt too anxious to leave my house, while still shitty, didn't affect me negatively. Well, besides from missing school but luckilly I was able to get good grades effortlessly anyway. I hoped it would all go away once the worst of puberty happened, but now I'm almost 23 so it clearly won't just go away. In fact I think I may be developing agoraphobia.

The thing is, maybe I do need meds and they will probably help me if that's the case. But I don't know who I'll become into. It's probably silly, but of course I can't help feeling anxious about it.
>>
>>7717077

First """date""" ideas?
He suggested dinner, but I think that'd be too intense and I'd suck and be awkward at that.

Suggestions? He is a qt 25 year old cub trying to make it to muscle cub. He likes cars a lot.
>>
>>7718407
Go out for coffee
>>
>>7718407
I like dinner for first dates, but it can be risky. If the conversation turns out to be awful then there is no early escape option.
Generally, I find activity based dates to be kind of lame and the sort of thing you do when you're 15. Bowling or mini golf would make me want to kill myself. Just go for coffee or a few beers somewhere.
Bear in mind that you have to go on a few scary, shit dates to practice and get good at dating. You'll learn how to talk to people and how to act on dates after a while. But you're probably gonna have at least one disaster before you get comfortable with holding a conversation.
>>
>>7718407
>DOING something
>First """date"""
A bad idea. The truth is you'll probably feel like ending most of your dates early because you'll quickly see that you're incompatible with the other guy. If that's the case you'll regret being on a 3 hour hike with someone you only needed to see for 5 minutes. Same thing if you're having dinner together, you can't just leave early if you really intend on eating something.
That's why going for a coffee is such a common idea for a date. If you want to end it early you'll have plenty of opportunities, but if you want to stay for longer you can do that on the coffee shop or just go and do something somewhere else.

Going out to DO something can be good on later dates, though
>>

It seems I have hit a nerve. Perhaps, because you know everything I've said is absolutely true. You lack the self-restraint to cultivate any real masculinity, like whorish women you are driven to mindlessly pursue intercourse and make that the sole object of your life and faux-masculine identity - becoming nothing more than puppets of the Jew in the process, and catching a few STDs to boot.

I eagerly anticipate the day when we're able to force you faggots back into the closet, and restore the homosexual community to basic decency.

I live in a semi-tolerant european country, coming out is not common here. Most people are reluctant to show their face even in cam or private. Those who are publicly out are usually the extroverted buch or scene guys.

I'm not out either, it would have serious drawbacks in the workplace and my personal life, too. So most of the time it's blind dating, which is hard and slow business..

I do lift. Been lifting for about 4 months now but I had a lapse of a month's in the middle because of Christmas. I was seeing some nice gains in my legs and booty, but my upper body hasn't gotten any gains at all. I've changed my routine to get to the gym more often and to be more upper body intensive. Next is to get consistent with eating big instead of eating loads for two days straight and hen getting depressed and barely eating for the rest of the week.

when bulking does it matter if you eat unhealthy?
>>
>>7725725
Please post good bulking tips. I'm on the lookout as well.

Also, got this meme from 9fag with homemade protein bars, consisting of oats, honey, peanut butter and coffee creamer. Anyone try making those, and if so, worth it? I figure I workout so much that I need to add calories to my diet to really get some gains.
>>
>>7711856
How do i become less feminine acting? Some people tell me they never would guess that I'm gay, and others say that they could tell right away. Some people have said i walk in a feminine way and others say that it's the way that i speak. Is there voice training or walking training to correct this?

I'm not afraid of people knowing I'm gay, but i find femininity unattractive on men and would like to be more attractive in this way as well. I don't think it's about ((((internalized homophobia)))).

Sheeit negro, Rome wasn't built in a day.
>Next is to get consistent with eating big instead of eating loads for two days straight and hen getting depressed and barely eating
Honestly this needs to be your first goal. Gym time won't do any good, if you don't give your body the necessary building blocks to grow.

>>7725725
If it's your first bulk I wouldn't worry about eating clean. You're going to have enough trouble eating enough to bulk up.

Once you've got a handle on bulking, try to clean it up. You'll feel better eating clean than on garbage, and make more muscle gains per pound.

>>7725877
Counting calories is the biggest part. Skellies think they're eating big when they're not.

My first bulk I tried to eat whatever I would normally eat in a day, then an entire frozen pizza before bed.

I think you're over testing the bake if virginity. It's not the navigatormeans moment you think it is. It's pretty much universally awkward and embarrassing. Having a hot dude you don't know walk you through it, is probably the best. If you do something weird and embarrassing you don't have to see them every day after that. Lol

Just let the guy know you're a virgin, and want to know him better before giving it up.

Anon c'mon

Since when did just wanting to have sex (for the first time!!!) become so frowned upon?

People do it every fucking day. If you feel like a slut for losing your virginity with someone you've obviously had an adult conversation with about it, you are fucking lame and you should probably take a bullet instead so I don't have to respond to your boring problems on a masculinity appreciation forum.

Depends. Are we talking about relationships or just sex?

For relationships 7 years can be a lot or it can be nothing depending on how old are you. Like if you're 20 and the other guy is 27 then you probably won't have much in common or you'll most likely be in different stages of life at least. But if you are 25 or older then the age difference shouldn't be much of a problem.

If it's just sex then as long as you're not doing anything illegal/taking advantage of a minor if they are younger or grossed out by their old body if they are older.

What part of California? If you are out in the boonies like me fat chance of finding a guy on those places and there's even less chance of meeting a normal nice guy by chance. If you are in san francisco you might be able to filter people out with scruff. I know nothing about southern Californian gays. Haven't ever really been.

Side note: What are gay bars like? I hear they are great.
>>
>>7716640
I had to quit prozac cause it increased intrusive suicidal thoughts by a shit load. I remember the first time I took it though, I was walking around a couple days later and I remember thinking to myself "This is how normal people feel". No crushing sadness, no dark thoughts swirling in my skull and I can step back from my emotions easily. Like they are bubbles and I can stop feeling something just by moving my hand away.

Now I take welbutrin, works alright. I hate how it keeps me awake, I don't do well with uppers. Lots of energy though, frustrating how it seems to push me into interacting with people. All I want deep down is to be quiet and not speak to a soul for days even weeks at a time. Instead I find myself chatting to everyone because I have so much mental energy it needs to burn off through interaction.

I'm glad you are getting through it though, I think I am too. Life gets hard and gets easy. We just gotta ride it out.

I'm in San Francisco. Well Technically Easy Bay, but moving to Oakland shortly. Work in San Fran.

I'm on Scruff. Guys are either
1) Unattractive
2) Only looking for a hook up
3) Mostly incapable of responding to messages in a timely manner

Thats pretty much it. I actually did have a BF from Scruff for about 4 months, but that ended abruptly after I realized he was a manipulative dirtbag.

Gay bars aren't really my thing. I don't mind going every now and then as long as I go with friends. The Eagle in the city is kind of entertaining. Lots of old and bear guys there, ranging from gross to kinda hot.

I hooked up with a sexy af Brazilian guy at a gay bar once. Thats only happened once of the dozen or so times Ive been.
>>
>>7730952
Oakland is an... interesting place. I grew up in San Jose and I tended to avoid Oakland for the most part. Better then Redwood City though, that place is kind of a shit hole.

Huh, I had something similar to that happen. Except I found out he cheated a year in and cause it was my first relationship my heart strung me along like a fool. I still pine, threw myself into my work to make it better.

I will keep that in mind, in general bars ain't my thing. I will try out The Eagle when I'm sufficiently drunk to dance stupidly in public.

God

I've been in a handful of relationships now, and wiser for it. I hope to never feel puppy-love again. Regretfully, because its a great feeling. Nothing quite like being alive with love. But I've dragged my feelings through broken glass a few times now and it never gets easier.

Though now I'm mostly stoic and happy about it. But damn I have a hard time with people here, gay and straight. The stereotypes of SF are mostly true and the monochrome political ideologies, opinions found here are eroding my sanity.

But I also love California in a similar way I love the USA, so there ya have it.

Height isn't really a major factor for gay people, it seems. Your build (whether you're muscular or tend more towards being twink-ish) and your attitude (where you're on the feminine/masculine spectrum) seem to be more relevant.

yeah, and I kind of think tall bottoms are very elegant and gorgeous. I just hate how masculinity is tied really heavily to height in people's eyes. >>
>>7730988
haha. Dirtbikes and weed? More like dirt weed.

I'm built stupidly, I love way to hard. I can't hold on to anger or hate so I always end up forgiving people if they ask. It tends to help people take advantage of me but at this point I just roll with the punches. Some people are kind and some are mean I might as well be able to give a part of myself to make the kind feel better and help the mean be kind, ya know? Maybe it's just the naive scientist thing but I try to never stop loving people even when I can't quite love myself. If that's puppy love I guess I'm stuck as a puppy.

SF stereotypes are annoying as balls. The politics are silly and it's best to just ignore all political arguments. Especially after the whole Trump thing now anyone that tries to discuss policy with either side get labeled a racist or a dumb hippy. Just start looking places that you wouldn't stereo typically find the people you'd expect. Little weird sounding but I find the most interesting people by going somewhere with a set demographic and then saying hi to those that don't match.

I feel the love for California, although that's more attached to familial love cause my family is all over here. We heard about the new world, ditched Europe and came on over. Soon as we came here we decided we wanted to go west as far as possible because fuck our known world. Ever since we have lived here.

I don't think there is. Lonely people of any kind have trouble not falling for someone who pays them attention. Even if he agreed to be just fwb he'd probably think of you as his bf and things could get ugly if he finds out you're talking/hooking up with other guys. I know because I'm like that myself (except for the /pol/ack part).

It's not really your responsibaility if he does something stupid when you cut it off with him. You're not his caretaker after all. But I know that's easier said than done.

Maybe try to get him to dislike you by being (or pretending to be) anti-trump or a sjw or something like that, so he distances himself on his own.
>>
>>7731867
I'd suggest being honest about what bothers him. It has the duel purpose of informing the /pol/ack what was wrong and, hopefully, from his perspective making anon a sjw.
>>
>>7731867
I was hoping it would work, i'm already anti-trump and "SJW" whenever I tell him I don't agree with the shit he says he just gets quiet and changes the subject only to bring it up later on. We aren't all short here. I'm 6'5. Being tall is great, except for the whole "unless you're naturally big, gains are impossible" thing. I just hit 90kg and I'm still a STICC. Even worse is my skinnyfat genetics means I put fat on my lower belly real quick.

What I'm trying to say is yes being tall is great, but unless you have sick tier genetics, being tall also comes with annoying lanklet shit.

tbqh voting for Trump is a deal breaker for me. I can be more understanding if they're just generally conservative and like small government (not crazy about that, but I'll look beyond it) but if someone started showing tinges of /pol/ I'd probably drop them. There's no room for kindness and empathy in /pol/'s ethos. In their world it's winners and losers, allies and enemies, us and them, with no sympathy for the downtrodden or the different.

I want a bf who responds to weakness with tenderness, to opposition with respect, to victory with graciousness, and to the unknown with seeking understanding, and I don't see that kind of maturity, nuance, and patience from /pol/types

I've heard a lot of people talk about it, and Trump's actions are stumping people on both sides of the aisle.

He's not a politician, and he's surrounding himself with other people who aren't politicians. He doesn't play politics, or follow unwritten rules. Both for and against himself, like blindsiding TSA without telling anyone about the ban ahead of time.

He's the presidential equivalent of a loose cannon cop.

I feel as if there is a genuine conspiracy against white males to make them as meek and effeminate as possible - Low testosterone men lack drive and ambition, and lowered testosterone leads to a vicious cycle of accumulating excess body fat which leads to increased biosynthesis of oestrogen's, furthermore suppressing testosterone production.

High testosterone men are more able to remain stoic and not be susceptible to irrationality. Progressives fear real men, masculine men with the strength and will to back up their convictions and intellect.
Fostering effeminate men means more of them are happy to subscribe to egalitarianism - 'equality' is a convenient excuse to those who have no hope of being exceptional. It requires effort to be a man.

Yes, but there's another dimension to it as well. Left-leaning people want stuff like socialized healthcare for _all_ people, regardless, whereas your typical woke /pol/ Trump-type wants to have something, but not let those "other people" (whoever they might be that day) have it also. Think unemployment benefits, think good jobs with good pay, think decent education, the list goes on. It seems to me that what would make me incompatible with these types of people is that they insist, though playing politics, to make other less, and much of it stems from some kind of resentment towards society. Which is why a slogan like MAGA does well with this demographics - it's a conceited nostalgia for a time that never existed. I mean, honestly, America must be at one of it's high points in the sense of personal freedom and expression. Just my 0.02 euro-cents.

There are _tons_ of racist homos out there, but it's a recent phenomena that the right wing embraced LGB-people and made it alright to be a queer bigot. Neo-nazis used to be pretty upfront about wanting to throw us of moving trains, and some still are, but modern right wing parties like FPÖ, Le Pens party, Danish Peoples Party etc are tolerant of LGB-people primarily as a political weapon against immigrants, as I see it.

>Left-leaning people want stuff like socialized healthcare for _all_ people
You're emphasizing the "all" part when you should be emphasizing the "socialized" part.

Right-leaning non-sociopaths want healthcare for everyone as well. They just disagree with the method - via a single-payer system. It goes beyond, "Wahhh, we don't wanna pay for our neighbor sometimes!" It has to do with competition creating cheaper healthcare, flexibility for small business owners to create even more jobs, etc. It's a complex issue with no clear answer.

That's the problem with the modern left. They've reduced everything down to a "simple" either you're nice-or-not false dichotomy when there are serious issues to discuss. The right will come to the table and try to figure things out, while the left will literally throw a temper tantrum in the streets to avoid such a discussion.

But whatever, keep believing what you were "educated" to think - that those on the right are evil sociopaths hoping everyone else will just die. That'll make it much easier to kill them once they're dehumanized! :^)
>>
>>7738219
>They just disagree with the method
This.

I think a large reason why the right did well in the last election, was the left refused to debate facts and claimed everything was a moral question.
>>
>>7738219
>It has to do with competition creating cheaper healthcare

but single payer sytems are more efficient.
and nobody has time to "shop" for doctors to get the best deal when they are sick.
so the market doesn't function properly.

it is naive to assume that deregulating everything is going to magically fix it.
>>
The moderate centre has not disappeared. The political extremes have only gotten louder, essentially in response to one another. The vast majority of people aren't protesting gender fluid rights on campuses or shitposting racist, sexist, homophobic drivel on /pol/. The vast majority are sitting at home, either reading The Guardian or The Times, and tutting at the state of the world.

I've found that in most places in the real world you'll ony find polite debate when discussing politics. My old neighbour was one of those racist homos and we got into a somewhat heated debate about it once. The very next day he came round and gave me a spare inner tube because I'd mentioned my bike had a puncture.
Still though, I bet the bastard voted to leave the EU...
>>
>>7738278
>but single payer sytems are more efficient.
>and nobody has time to "shop" for doctors to get the best deal when they are sick.
>so the market doesn't function properly.

That's a debate to have. I'm not going to have it here. The point is the left would rather say, "The right are all heartless monsters! We won't tolerate that type of hate!" than try to make points like yours, and respond to their counters to those points, and so on.

That's what made moderates, who like debating and compromising, get pissed off. They saw one half willing to do that, and the other kicking and screaming. So they turned on them.
>>
>>7738278
>single payer sytems are more efficient.

>>
>>7738219
>they've reduced everything down to a "simple" either you're nice-or-not false dichotomy
To be fair it's easy to see how someone would reach that conclusion. I'm from a left-leaning country and most of the American media I consume is left-leaning too. Values like tolerance and solidarity get a much bigger push in schools and media than familiarism and self-improvement, so regardless of what political views your friends and family have, more or less half of your social life is left-leaning by default.

When you're told your whole life that traditional families are oppressive/nowhere near as cool as our transgressive, different show about an assembled, non ideal family (just like every other show on television); and not to be selfish and serve other people instead of your own; you find it hard to believe that there's another side to it. I used to wonder "wait how can there be republicans in America? Every celebrity I know shares my opinion on this stuff I believe to be universal. How can you disagree on this?"

I think this is why Trump won really, aside from people being soured on the left for belittling and insulting males and whites at every turn. I don't believe over half of America wanted Trump as president, liberals just thought everyone universally agreed with them, that people have to be crazy to not share their values, so they didn't show up to vote. If they knew Trump winning was a real possibility Hillary would have won by a landslide.
>>
>>7738351
>Feels like the world's gone mad
It really has. It's not only the US. Here in my country people are awfully divided by their political views too. I know many cases of friends and even relatives that have stopped talking to each other because of that.

It's sad because in my opinion it's such a dumb thing to stop talking to someone. It's like people can't stand being around others who don't agree with them on everything
>>
>>7738366
>I don't believe over half of America wanted Trump as president,

I mean... you don't have to believe that because it's objectively not true. Over half of the people who voted did so against him.
>>
>>7738366
>most of the American media I consume is left-leaning too. Values like tolerance and solidarity get a much bigger push in schools and media
Many people were shown just how left-leaning the "news" really is. People used to think the news was about learning the truth about the world around you. Now that you can pick and choose which sites to filter on Facebook or whatever, people can just confirm their biases about the world and become more extreme. Of course the outlets that encourage these echo-chambers (on either side) benefit because that's a customer who won't be leaving any time soon.

And the media really has leaned far left in America. We had celebrities telling working class everyday people that they were too privileged despite being barely able to afford their new healthcare. "News" outlets blatantly lying about events surrounding the election just to support a candidate. People unfriending others on social media just to make a point about politics.

The digital atmosphere encourages radicalization, and people are rewarded for it by people they don't even know congratulating them on their strength, bravery, and intelligence for not asking their mom why she liked a different candidate.

>>7738396
>It's like people can't stand being around others who don't agree with them on everything
Because with the Internet, why would you have to? I can just block anyone who says something I disagree with and pretend it never happened. They were just a high school friend anyway. I only need my 10 "real" friends who all KNOW the truth about the world.

I don't care. If you want to pretend you're telling the "news" it shouldn't be layered with 500 pounds of propaganda over it. And most American media outlets have left propaganda dripping from the edges.

But do tell me more about this left-leaning rest of the world. I didn't know that Iran, Saudi Arabia, Russia, and so many other countries in our vast world were all left-leaning except for those crazy Americans.

Or maybe Western Europe has gone so far left that even reasonably extreme leftism seems center?

I really want the left to understand this is why we lost. It's not because democrats didn't show up to the polls, it's not because Russia, it's not because everyone who voted for Trump is a racist monster. Independents were tired of the left or were (rightly) mistrustful of Hillary.

I don't think it's a perfect system but I like it. In a geographically diverse country like the US where every state has wildly different resources and employment, making sure the interests of the most heavily populated ones don't screw everyone else up is important if you want self-sufficiency.
>>

>Authoritarian states can be left or right, dear.
Yes, and this election was about stopping the left authoritarians in America.

>yet the only things they seem able to refer to are things like trannies being given airtime, or shows that aren't actual news like current year man

That's because you haven't looked hard enough. Try this one: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7DcATG9Qy_A

Yes, CNN, supposedly the holiest of holy news outlets in America, is blatantly telling viewers it is illegal to read Wikileaks - a big, fat LIE. Tell me how this wasn't pro-Hillary propaganda during the election?

Instead of doing their job - providing me, an everyday citizen, with updates on world events, they instead command me that I am forbidden from learning about what's happening. As someone who actually read some of those emails, there was quite a lot to report. There still is.

This is just one of many examples you'd find if you looked of how the media and schools actively attempt to censor things they dislike.

But yeah, it's all about something like trannies, I guess? Fuck the bigots man!

>The only thing I've heard about CNN from Americans is jokes about how shitty it is on SNL
The only jokes are it being the Clinton News Network for a few years now. And boy did they show their true colors this past season. There's plenty more where that came from.

And that's a "news" source that tries to market itself as center-leaning. Imagine what the left-leaning ones produce? It's no wonder the left has been radicalized in America when they're literally force fed propaganda all day.

It used to be that Fox did this on the right, but I was forced to eat my words when I saw a small shred of honest journalism about Wikileaks from Sean Hannity (not even the mainstream Fox would touch it; that's how bad it was).
>>
>>7738681
