Most other emulators besides Dolphin I've dealt with have been fine. Really the only ones that are pretty finicky are some of the later generation ones, PS2, N64, maybe dreamcast. SNES, GBA, DS, those run fairly well from my experience. While I do like Dolphin it still has some issues with games, namely Metroid Prime 2 and 3 with shader stuttering.

PS2 emulation is a bit spotty with games like Ratchet and Clank just not running well at all, but I have played a few games on PS2 emulation that ran without issue. Emulation can be a tricky thing, it depends on how those consoles and games ran, with consoles like the N64 and PS3's cell processor using hardware that's harder to translate into a working emulator and that might not be well documented.
