Hmm. So, it's about that time again and I'm ordering my blood tests from privatemdlabs.

It asks for my sex for the "requisition papers to be used for testing". I'm not presenting female but I'm considering putting down F. Because my last test results obviously gave ranges for male (and my hormones were predictably way out of male range in the correct directions). I know there's a general consensus on female range (and I hit those last time, yay) but it does vary slightly based on the actual test and they give their own ranges for shit sometimes that are slightly different...

What I'm saying is, do you think it'd be worth it putting down F for sex just to see if I'm in range according to them? I think all it affects is the ranges for the results. I'm not legally female and the person drawing the blood and stuff will see this but I don't think he'll say anything. We didn't talk about my private medical information last time either. The "shedding" phase where all of it just falls out after a week or two weeks temporarily is awesome.

english used to gender objects in a way that spanish and french still do, but it sor of dissapeared I think during the middle ages. spanish still uses gendered pronouns to identify undifined groups of things while french uses a gender neutral.

English uses the gender neutral "The" to refer to a single or group of objects. I think "They" could and should be used in a similar way since english already identifies most multiples of everything by adding an s at the end (I know there are some exceptions)

but about it sounding weird. i just our exposition to it. I remember when I was a kid and I saw my the trans-woman naked her penis looked so weird and out of place and shocking, but now as I've come to know other cis and trans women in sexual and non sexual situations, a woman having a penis doesn't seem like a big deal or shock to me.

TL;DR: people and languages change depending to how accustomed we grow to them
