I was one of the ones who voted that you should wait until you're out of your parents' control, but come out and live full time soon thereafter. While your parents can hurt you, and have exhibited carelessness in your treatment before, it's in your best interest to keep yourself safe.

From where I'm sitting, you look fine. With more practice and time, you'll look even better, and feel at least a little more confident. You probably will feel like a crossdresser at first, but eventually it just stops being even remotely unusual.

One piece of advice is to force a bit more sociability than comes naturally. It really goes a long way to growing quickly.
