Honestly, if you're under 25 I'll recommend visiting Kind's trans youth group right out. I've got really good experiences with age-segregated groups, since they make it much easier to meet someone relatable.

The gala on April 13th would have been a very good opportunity to meet a lot of sharp-dressed trans folk, but that's come and gone. Venus Envy's local events are another good time, since they've got an excellent relationship with the local trans community.
