You can see a trans woman as both a trans woman and a woman. I can't speak for you, but guys generally like trans women because they have a penis fetish, even if they're otherwise heterosexual. Some guys probably also like trans women because they're a bit more androgynous, and androgyny can be very attractive on its own.

Trans women, like a lot of other women, usually want people to be attracted to their femininity though. Some will embrace their differences from cis women, but I don't think most will.

And I think that's a bit tragic. It leads these poor girls on to an eternal treadmill where they might always feel inadequate compared to other women. It's super difficult because of dysphoria, but I think it's possible for a trans woman to accept that a man can love and cherish her and be attracted to her not in spite of her differences, nor because of them. A man can love her because of who she is as a person, and as a woman, because she and her body are not inferior, but beautiful in their own right.
