suppressor
anything else is going to have a minimal effect on noise. now you can get something like a KX3 pig that will kinda direct the sound forward a bit more.
>>34775664
You could also get an A2
Does anyone know if you can put a suppressor on a trust if you aren't 21? Because I know you can do that with an SBR.

>>34775672
yes i just want an upgrade from the basic a2 while still having the same noise level. Not to annoy people on my sides
>>34775706
You could also get a surefire SFMB for when no one is around and then get a surefire warden for when they are. It's a quick connect to the SFMB
>>34775704
Lol damn Giddy. I know that feel, except im still working for my dad.
Fucking sucks
Is it worth it to get an original SP1? Not colts repro obviously. Would it be cheaper to build one?
help arg i have a Dilemma. Change my barrel to mid length gas, lopro gas block, and free float handguard like a midwest, or keep it as is with fsb and just throw something like a Kac Ras and rock that look. WHAT SHOULD I DOOOO
>>34775794
rock the RAS look. its retro af and your rifle has the retro vibe to it already
>>34775794
If you're gonna change to midlength freefloat. buy a new upper. You're replacing the parts that are 80% of the upper cost anyway, and then if you buy another lower later you've got another AR.
Carbine RAS is a great idea though.

The URX 3.1 wasn't perfect either, but it's aesthetically spectacular.
Basically everyone should give up trying to design a snowflake attachment method because HK got it right and Geissele made it mainstream. There's only one reason to be any more complex and that's a monolithic upper, which LMT will sue for because how else are they going to get people to buy a $2400 AR with a quad rail these days?

>3.1 with grip panel kit is pure sex
Pretty much. I'd never buy it as a standalone item though, only with a factory rifle. Otherwise it's just LARP material.
That's why I prefer the mk4 these days. It's not trying to pretend to be a KAC. People aren't going to have to check your rollmark and find out you're a phony. That and it's mlok.
>>34778056
I would use the sytem in the amr and supringly I like it easy t o mount and take off no complex screws and not alot of weiht to the front

Complying would be having a featureless rifle. The risk vs reward is not worth it. If you have an unregistered "assault weapon" you can't legally stop anywhere if your headed to the range.....also you have to fucking register it. My rifle doesn't need to be registered because of the maglock. The law is fucky but I'd rather have what I have than run the risk of being a felon.

But the book I have says to stagger them...
>>34779672
I think another thing is longevity. It certainly wont last you as long, thats why guys with lots of experience tend to not go for them. But if its a first AR I would say go for it. Learn its faults, and find out if the improved quality is worth the extra money to you.

Thanks for the review. Ya im currently running a BCM short on my rail. Seems great to me but was just dreaming of ways to get that pesky rail piece out from under it if possible, its a polymer rail piece so I guess I shouldnt complain. I guess my biggest fear then is if ill dislike how thin it is versus the BCM.

Is there anything in the under $400 range that come with a MLOK rail that is better quality than PSA?
>>34779764
Including a bcg and charging handle?
>>34779672
my first upper was a psa I bought during an Independence day sale, when I thought building one was scary.
It worked good for me,
All that's left is the FN barrel I used for a second build and the upper receiver is in my closet somewhere.
>>34779755
She's got a magpul on there now. Just a quick pic I took right after we built it
>>34779760
>>34779764
when it comes to quality uppers you can definietly get better than PSA for under 400. But you'll probably have to build it/ buy pieces separately and build it yourself.
I dont think you can get a package with a complete "ready to attach to a lower" upper for that cheap and it not just be a PSA upper.
>>34779789
To add to this, IM not sure you can. your general area may be able to or there may be an online deal or something. I just cant think of anything off the top of my head.
>>34779777
No, already going to buy those separate
>>34779780
Do you know which ones on PSA's site come with FN barrels?
>>34779787
Id get a new book, a different one.
>>34779820

Do I have to use an a5 buffer spring and buffer or can I use a rifle length buffer spring and buffer?
>>34779820
No, I got this back when there was just PSA uppers without all the different product lines they have now.
I know the cold hammer forged barrel s are FN
>>34777896
That's because even your cuck dad knows you are a worthless excuse for a human. How embarrassed you must be. This is your only interaction with actual people and they all hate you. That must feel bad.
>>34779727
Eh. Mainly stop shit/blog posting.

Okay so Hardened Arms gets a lot of flak, and rightfully so. They've certainly had some issues with QC and some people have got some pretty problematic uppers from them. The bottom line though is that this is the case with all budget AR parts, and they will almost definitely have better customer service than PSA. I've had two Hardened Arms uppers, with about 2k rounds through the two of them. Both performed just fine.
They were also recently at my local gun show. Their SDX rail while attaching by a rather simple and dated barrel nut design, seems solid. It is thin, light, and will probably be just fine for a pooranon like yourself. Their new stuff seems better than the stuff I bought from them two years ago.
Some to consider:

If you call and ask for a 1/7 barrel they will probably build it for you, and charge you the same amount quoted on the website. It just might take a while to get to you. They did that with both of my uppers from them.
But of course there is this from PSA:

For real though. I want an L1A1 build and the para build now. I'm satisfied, for the moment. I still need to buy the right size locking shoulder though.

I found a guy who does slides for like 185. But you'll have to ask him or someone els to mill it for rmr if that's what you are after.
Drop a burner and I'll email it to you later, I don't want all the normie lurkers finding my sweet deals.
I was hoping /arg/ could help me out with a tac light.
My current tac light is not quite bright enough. I don't know how bright it is but in a hypothetical home defense situation it might not illuminate my target sufficiently, or ideally blind my attacker. The good thing about my light it is, it mounts very securely and doesn't wobble at all when I'm clearing rooms or shooting tac drills at the range.
I want to get the ThruNite TN35. The Aircraft Grade Aluminum is a big plus, it's an overall excellent light and puts out 2,750 lumens. That's way brighter than my current light, considering I don't even know how bright mine is so it must not be too good. Is this enough for any home defense situation? What kind of mounting solution do you all use?
Thanks in advance!

im sorry but before we address your question, I need to point out how sinful that pic is.

>>34780159
Really? Do you get a lot of shine reflection? I figured brighter is better since it's pretty easy to hide in corners, the more illumination, the more you can see. All the security cam footage tells me invaders tend to hide when they know someone's up.
>>34780204
Yup, I have an inexpensive rifle and a cheap+good solution. Total bait.

I got a new lower. The time out with you, A2, and pb convinced me to build a whole new rifle.

The Rockpit is my go-to place. It's a bit of a hike up there but I kinda like it. Been trying to drag some of the trash down from there every time I go.
>>34780273
Wait one fucking second thats ACTUALLY your rifle?
>These things arent that accurate anyway
They sure fucking arent when you literally tape shit to them.
>>34780331
Yes. It's really not that bad. How far can you shoot at?
I'm gonna last just as long as you when people invade or when shooting at even 50 meters, because I practiced.
