Hey/k/I just got a new job, and the contract says I get $1000 per year (Canadian) for health spending and out doors. I'm looking for a good set of binoculars, I'm willing to spend around $7-800. What is the best bang for my buck? Willing to go a bit more if there is a better one. I also posted to /out/ but that board is fuckin dead

I live in BC, I will use them when I'm hiking, hunting, and just going innawoods. Distances can get pretty far, but I would like magnification, my shitty bushnells are fixed magnification

Your contract states you have to spend money towards outdoorsy stuff?

Steiner are used by a lot of military guys i know. Their company seems to have really high standards for their products. I dont really use binocs myself so i cant tell you if these are ACTUALLY as good as they seem

I have a pair of Nikon Acculon 10-22x50 binos, they work alright.

I use Nikon as well and they're nice. Have had them for over 8 years, no problems.

they will probably be more knowledgeable on the subject than /k/ some guys here may know but most, myself included know little about binos.
