So those budget KAK barrels aren't bad, but if I were you I would continue to shoot out of it for at least a little bit more. Have you shot groups from it yet? I really believe that most of us in here should avoid pencil profiles. They're too light, heat up too fast, and are thus prone to wear. I mean if you're serious about going lightweight okay sure, but there are plenty of other parts on your rifle that are weighing it down other than the barrel. The CMMG medium taper reminds me of the Gunner profile from Faxon. It would be nice if BA made a profile like that.

I have an old set of Dueks I used for a bit with a TR20 3-9x. I took them off since I found I just didnt use them enough to warrant the bulk.

Id go qd scope mount or offset flipups instead. Guy at the range I've talked to that does a lot of hog culling has offset RDS on all his rifles he likes for spraying at runners after the initial shot.

That kit doesnt include the lower receiver though. So its not any cheaper. If a railed gas block is your biggest argument then its pretty weak. I have all of the tooling and parts to swap out with an A2 style. Or I can just chop it. But personally I like the railed block. Otherwise, what is wrong with them that makes them so low quality? I am buying this rifle to throw in the back of my yamaha to shoot hogs with while I do fence work. I intend to keep it fully stock minus putting iron sights on it and maybe another bcg I have laying around. And if I decide I dont want it, I can sell it to my normie friends for $400 easily. I appreciate the arguement to whats better but I think I am gonna snatch it up. It may not be best, but I havent seen any other Armalites at that price.

Railed gas block is just one facet of the larger argument against the Eagle Arms. It very well might be lower quality than the PSA. I really don't know though. My Eagles Arms M16A2 was my second AR, a gift from my dad when I was like 17. We easily put 1k rounds through it of absolute shit steel case Academy ammo and it never had a hiccup. It actually performed better than the Bushmaster I also had at the time. The railed gas block however doesn't bode well. It is indicative of a pile of parts from the early/mid 2000s, not exactly the best decade for ARs.

And remember it isn't actually an Armalite.

It'll probably work fine.
