Not even a joke. As a kid we were hanging out by the cat tails fucking off with an over/under .22/.410. We were shooting June bugs, cicadas, and dragon flies with the .410 as they flew around.

On more than one occasion a fucking HIND-D sounding cockroach would fly by and anything smaller than 0 buck (if you could hit it with a pellet) would just knock it out of the air. #7 shot might as well have been a gentle smack with the back of your hand.

Usually they'd land on the water upside down and get snatched by a fish.

We got a new place here in Beaverton Oregon that replaces this shithole "gun/security" shop (they lost their FFL). In their place is this really nice, clean, and we'll thought out shop (awkwardly named "Arm Yourself"). Great staff and everything. Ok not downside, while their guns are fairly priced their accessories are like 200% markup. A TLR-1HL is like $200...

There's a LGS here that always had the same dozen milsurp/sported rifles, and like 3-4 ARs, and almost identical stock of pistols. They might sell the odd Cobra or Sccy to a basketball american a few times a month though.

There's the list in the pic plus Delray and the Sheriff's Office range way out west that's only open a few days a month to the public. I personally go to Shoot Straight which is kind of meh, but it's close to me and good enough for a pistol range. Although when I can I strongly prefer to go to the outdoor ranges in Okeechobee.

Palm beach shooting center is fine. I never been to shoot straight cause I'm at the bottom of the county. Only thing with palm beach shooting-- very hot. I was drenched in sweat. hangers for targets looked flimsy but did their job. People there were very nice.

Also, I may as well plug tallahassee indoor shooting for anyone in the area. Loved that place when I was living in Tally.

Very true. However the last thing any gun store wants is to explain to the ATF why they didn't immediately call them when an unregistered SBR walked through the door. We don't want to be seen as some sort of "safe haven" for assholes who break the law.

Any good places to grab milsurp in the Orlando area? Only place I know of is Buffalo Bill's on Mills and they seem to be a bit back and forth on pricing. One time I went there they had a Type 99 with tons of stock damage for $700 or so, next time they had an M48 Yugo for $200, which I still regret not buying. Their selection is a bit small as well.

Castle Keep doesn't move their shit, everything is marked up 20% and the staff won't talk to you.

Shoot Straight is one of the nicer options if you want something new. The one in Tampa has a better selection than the one in Clearwater but they're both nice (although usually understaffed).

There are a few hole-in-the-wall places in Largo; Iron Site is a cool little place that is half storefront and half gunsmith. Full of milsurp, mostly from the owner's excess. The owner is a good smith but his helper is a fuckhead muhreen armorer. It's also moist in there and a lot of the firearms are rusty or lathered in grease.

Kubes is right next door. Nice people but small selection, they used to handle a lot of milsurp.

Friend of mine tried to get a job at shoot straight, they accepted him and shit was going good the fucks told him to go to the Castleberry shop for training. He got there and the manager said he was supposed to go the big shop for training, even though he had proof they told him to go Castleberry (he had the texts or emails, can't remember which they used since this happened about a year ago) the manager fired him on the spot. Everything worked out though and now he works at the armories. I've always heard that shoot straight's management is pretty shit.
