Yea it's ok for 100 bucks and better than milspec, but far from the best. There are better triggers out there that come without the pretentiousness and the faggot fanboys.

The main thing is that M193 will frag out to maybe 50-75 yards out of an 11.5" but won't frag point blank out of a 10.3"
>>

Once you get into nice triggers it's all fanboism and pretensions though. I've got four pretty sweet aftermarket triggers. The dillo dust one is the least nice on the break, but that shoe....

If fanboyism is something you hate, your going to encounter it with essentially everything you purchase that others can see for the rest of your life

>>34426925
Agree to disagree.

Without hyperbole or loyalty, I'd take a $99 MBT over a $300 Geissele.

And did in fact. Twice.

I hate Larue mounts, Larue prices and I hate Mark Larue as a person, but the trigger is truly excellent. That it costs less than Geissele's cheapest offering, and less even than a Ruger trigger, is astounding.

The staging wall is better on an MBT than anything else.
The break is better on an MBT than anything else.
The bet pull weight, pretravel and overtravel are debatable for different shooting applications, but I rank those features lower than the break and the wall. For an everyday rifle, nothing beats the MBT*.

Plus only Larue blanchard grinds their triggers and actually machines every single surface out of a block of tool steel, rather than merely casting a lump of pig iron and machining ONLY the sear surface then having the balls to charge $300 for 1/100th the work done.

*imo gfy smd

>>34426976
This is true most of the time on forums because people think $200+ is a lot to spend on a trigger, but I'm being serious in my opinion and recommendation.

>>34427060
From McKay. They do batches, call and ask when the next one is due. Protip tho: they are A2 lowers with metal machined off into A1 profile, but they cost nearly as much as Nodaks which are actually FORGED as A1 lowers from the start (pic related). tl;dr Nodak > McKay
>>
>>34427085
Your rifles, by and large, ride to the higher end of someone looking at a price: performance value. The MBT is a natural choice for someone like yourself.

There are better triggers, but only minute improvements for the extra cost. The materials and manufacturing in the MBT are really nice.

As a whore who likes single stage triggers a lot.

How am I going to like a MBT or a SSA?

Assuming I don't just pay for the GuysnamedLee single stage.
>>
>>34427149
Depends on how much you don't like them. I have single and double stage. For me, a good trigger is a good trigger. But thats me.

Yes, I value good value, but when it comes to triggers money is no object. We're just having difficulty with definition of "best" I think.

To me, the "best" is a solid staging wall and an absolutely crisp break. The MBT has that, Geisseles do not. Geissele staging walls feel mushy to me, and the break is softer, not as hard and instant as an MBT. I don't care about overtravel at all, I don't care about pretravel because that's just a safety feature, and ideal pull weight for me is 4 pounds on a """"""""""""combat"""""""""""" rifle, which the MBT nails to the ounce. If I were shooting precision, I'd want the same features but with a lower trigger weight so that's why I tried a $350 G Hi Speed. I am disappointed in it. It's deffo nice, and the break is crisp, but not as crisp as a $99 MBT and the Hi Speed's staging wall is barely there. I feel endangered with my finger on the trigger.

So I would say that there aren't any triggers "better" than the MBT at any cost. But if you value features that I don't value, then there would certainly be "better" triggers for you.

I've tried Larue MBT, Geissele SSA, Geissele SSA-E, Geissele G2S, Geissele Hi Speed, ALG ACT, ALG QMS, Rock River National Match 2 Stage tuned by White Oak, Ruger Elite and lots of GI.

I haven't tried AR Gold, Jard, Jewell, CMC, TriggerTech or anything else not listed, so there may well be some competition in the pack but because I don't have personal experience with them I won't condemn them. I have very high expectation of TriggerTech based on my Remington 700 triggers though, those are so excellent that they might be called "perfect."

>>34427149
I can't say, I don't like single stage so the only AR single stages I've used are GI-type. I think in the case of a single stage trigger, Geissele would probably be an excellent bet, or maybe one of the drop-ins I mentioned above like AR Gold, CMC or Jewell.

Tendency for the round to fragment or yaw inside of the target depends on the construction of the bullet itself and the velocity with which it impacts.

Typical M193 doesn't "reliably" (ambiguous statistical term) fragment below about 2700 impact fps, and a 10.3" doesn't produce M193 muzzle velocities in excess of this 2700 fps mark.

>Geissele Automatics currently offers three large pin Hi-Speed trigger products. These adjustable triggers are specially designed for competition, hunting, tactical, and military use, where both accuracy and robustness are critical. As an adjustable trigger, the first and second stage weight distribution, as well as, total pull weight, over-travel, and sear engagement are all to be tuned to the shooters preference.
Did you get the wrong version? Or the older ones weren't adjustable?

Buy a completed lower then. Plenty of LGS have them with standard M4 stocks for around $150.
Or venerate your father and maybe he can buy a stripped lower for you.
>>
>>34428951
im not that anon hes talking too. just tired of retards giving out false info. pound sand.
>>
>>34428832
For cheap get a protac 2, for best get a surefire m600, for medium get arisaka 600
>>
>>34428928
I guess my budget is around $700ish. I'm over 21 so I guess ordering a lower isn't an issue, I've just never done business ordering over FFL or anything like that.
>>
>>34428965
>Buy a completed lower
you cant do that under 21yo. you need to seriously do a lot more research on literally everything gun related. you are a dumbass.

You don't have any friends who are into ARs?

Legitimate gifts don't constitute straw purchases. So what if you show your gratitude for the gift by grabbing dinner with your buddy or uncle.

Build or slap receivers together:

Grab a lower locally. Better than either the Ruger or the M&P.

>>34428984
Oh man you're a genius. So glad we have you around anon so all the 18-21 Anons on here without dad's can know that there best option is to buy an M&P or a Ruger 556.

Well no I mean not every under 21 gets their lower thru a straw purchase. If friends and family know you want one, and gift one to you then there's absolutely no problem.

How do you think I built mine at 19 and have 3 pistols.

At younger than 21 you don't need an AR, you need to be focused on things like getting a job, building core savings so you dont live paycheck to paycheck, getting a vehicle and moving out of your parents' house. Or finishing college if you fell for that meme. Ar can come later once you're a productive citizen
