So I don't know much about suppressors either but my understanding is that the A2 suppressor mount that both the T3 and the VG6 Epsilon have isn't exactly the best mount.

A lot of people prefer the Mark 1/2 rails because of the Picatinny mounting system. They're bulky rails though, so it's a tradeoff.

The guessing stick (calipers) should be used much the same way. Don't rely on sticking the ID expander tongs into the crack, will give shitty reading an scratch the finish off both rail and receiver.
