cleaned my bcg, it was sticky because i use too much grease and enough made it's way into the expansion chamber that it mixed with the carbon and made the bolt sticky.

*gas rings are fine

i did notice that the nitrided bcg gets stickier much faster than the cryptic.
infact, the cryptic seems to have no issues with grease sticking to the carrier/bolt and causing problems.

looks like i really should get a cryptic carrier and lmt bolt for the sbr but i'll wait until my current bolt fails.

Pick one up during a 4th of july sale. you can get a SSA-E for ~$165 if you look hard enough, and it takes your rifle to another level. It's the best upgrade you can do for your rifle.
>>
>>34365245

You can get an ALG trigger, either an ACT or QMS, for pretty cheap just to see how nice a cleaned up trigger can be.

Once you see what it offers, put it in another build and get yourself that Geissele for your primary rifle.

So I don't know much about suppressors either but my understanding is that the A2 suppressor mount that both the T3 and the VG6 Epsilon have isn't exactly the best mount.

Lol so whenever someone says "[insert weapon] is ugly" you say "that's just your opinion".

Here's some advice for you going forward. When someone says that something you like is ugly (e.g. maybe you think Hi-points are good-looking and someone disagrees with you), instead of reverting to the old elementary-school fallback of "Well, that's just like, your opinion, man" maybe offer some reasons why you don't think it's ugly.

That way you don't sound like a petulant child, and are instead backing up your claims with reasons.

A lot of people prefer the Mark 1/2 rails because of the Picatinny mounting system. They're bulky rails though, so it's a tradeoff.

(I guess you can get picatinny rail sections for MLOK, but that sweet sweet DDC you miss out on)

>>34365891

That's pretty sex. I don't have the heart or precision to cut up a Geissele rail though.

I'm not totally sure how you'd do it? Chuck it into a mill? Maybe just a bandsaw?

I got one of these Magpul Handstop thingys. Works okay, not sure if I like it that much.

However, I really like the sights I already spent money on. I guess I could paint over the "Troy" part of the sights if I really get cranky about it.

None of these fucking trips albeit 1 or 2 have even been in combat or used an AR in it's intended role. They have some good advice sometimes, but take everything they say with a grain of salt. Back in the day used to have trips that had shared military experience, AS WELL as civilian sporting experience, now it's mostly just the latter

99% of gun owners have never fired their gun in self defense or in anger, and never will. Guess we better quit training and turn'em all in due to lack of experience.

KAC RAS is a good investment if you're willing to spend some money. If you just want something with mount points, get magpul drop ins.

I don't think any other non-free float options are worth buying at this point

Dont buy a RAS on ebay for the ~$250 asking prices unless that shit is pristine and includes a full set of different size panels (multiple of each size) a VFG and roll-up panel carrying kit.

100-170 or so is a more realistic price
