Secondly, it's mysterious, new and exciting. There is a mystique around firearms similar to alcohol that just isn't justified. A gun is a tool and booze is a fermented drink but in America people go crazy over both. Take your cousin to a gun range, a gun safety course and start dispelling the mystique around firearms. The sooner he realizes that it's just a tool, the better he'll be. More exposure is better in this case, not less. Try and hide guns and act nervous around them will only make him more curious.
