From what I'm understanding that a weapon with a 26" length and is not being concealed is neither a rifle or pistol at that point and is just a "firearm" so the VFG restraint doesn't apply.

Or I'll just use a handstop, it's not a big deal, was just curious. I'd prefer a vfg but not worth $200 and losing ability to keep it loaded anywhere in my vehicle.
