>>34156924
That was an Warsaw Pact invasion.
>>
>>34156924
Will Wasr prices go down? Like 500$ or Less? Also has anyone bought a Wasr from Atlantic recently If so was the gun good to go? Any problems with it?
>>
>>34156948
Dont expect to ever see AKs sub 500 again.
At least not imports. I'm sure US made AKs will get to that point. And they're gonna be sure to keep WASRs and imports higher than their own guns to keep there POS47 competitive.
>>
>>34157001
>>34156948
Haha, you cucks paying over $500 for a gun that's only worth 15 bucks. Just give it time and WASR prices will eventually settle back down to $95 like they used to be.
>>
>>34157015
haha yep i remember in 1600's when aks were 4 silver pieces
>>
>>34157030
Psshtt, where were you when they were a bag of turnips and the price of a chicken
>>
>>34156948
You can still occasionally find non-matching beat up WASRs that are still fully functional for like $400-500 on gunbroker.

But if you want to buy from a store expect to pay $700-800

There are basically no good/cheap US brands.

The RAS47 is super cheap, getting cheaper, and American made.
Unfortunately it's a firey burning piece of flaming shit garbage.

IO and RAS47.
But they're notoriously bad/will explode in your hands.

I've seen two WASRs go for under $500 on gunbroker in the past two days.
Just slightly rusty.

Bide your time, wait for a deal online, and be ready to work with some steel wool and oil.

Shitty extractors. Although theyre owned by PSA now. Or owned ny the same peaople as PSA.
PSA probably has the best US made AK and theyre expanding their options this year. I know they have a triangle folder on the way and I think even a 545 gun. Just make sure its a gen 2. I just sold off my gen 1.

So I found a great price for an SLR 104fr that I am skeptical about. I've already messaged the dude and what not and his reason for the price is his health condition which I find understandable and reasoned. So my question to you guys is how do I conduct the money transfer between him and I? This is the first time I've tried to buy online and I don't want to get scammed. I already know about needing an FFL and shit.

Why do you keep posting this photo?
>>
>>34157646
Sight radius probably has more to do with it. It makes it easier to shoot better.
Ammo brands used are probably the other important thing. Finding what your gun like can tighten things up quite a bit.
>>
>>34157646
yes, but the average SKS also has a 20" barrel (compared to the average AK, which usually has a 16" barrel)
>>
>>34158196
Barrel length is not directly correlated to mechanical accuracy
>>
>>34158224
yes it is because the gun is 4" closer to its target
>>
>>34158196
>>34158224 this
correlation is not causation
>>
>>34158224
*personally* my 2 SKSes have been more accurate but thats anecdotal- and yes I'm aware the tilting bolt lockup should technically lend itself to being less accurate, but again as far as I can say the barrel length makes a slight difference

I can't speak for aks in 762x39, but between my vz85 and sks, they might as well be identical accuracy wise.
But, ammo makes a difference. My scoped vz58 was all over the place with silver bear, felt like it was barely minute of paper at 100 yards. First shots after changing back to golden tiger again, and pic related are the first 5 shots.
I've heard some people's guns shoot worse with it, but mine love it.

Do I know for a fact on anything you just asked? Nah, but I'd say those rifles don't take AK furniture and that the side mount rail probably won't fit on there considering the receiver's shape.

Just found this link which has a video while I was being jelly of your canucks getting those rifles. Sucks you'll be stuck with 10 rounds but fuck, those rifles look great.

Ammo and magazines. Rifle is good to go.

They're fairly good to go.
Not a whole lot extra can be done.

Many WASRs last past 80,000-100,000 rounds until failure, and at that point you can just replace the bolt/trunnion/barrel.

Unless you shoot it super duper often or rent it out at a range it'll probably outlive you.

It's just a better spray paint. I use it for mags, the wheels on my truck, my desk.
It will chip some but youre gonna get that with any spray paint. But it seems to keep rust out.
>>
>>34163564
These mags are kinda pieces of shit externally.
Got them from Bake.

I intend to elbow grease the rust off with steel wool and then spray paint over it with something that will refinish it.

It's less for fashion and more of a necessity.

Its price is your integrity. Through a loophole in the law, purchasing assault weapons from the regime of the Russian Federation.

The price is your family members watching the news, and like any normal human would, weeping for the victims of massacres in Syria. But they also have to live with the knowledge that your funds helped make it happen, by buying that assault weapon.

Neither. SVD are pricey unless you got money and PSL aint that great compared to a VEPR.

Shoot of the three I bought I threaded them all on my gun and kept the worst one that didn't thread on all the way and with the most surface rust. It might be your threads on your rifle cuz it fit on mine no problem
>>
>>34168895
What rifle ?
>>
>>34169005
It probably is my threads, since mine are part of a pressed-on sleeve. I had to have them turned down once already just to fit my US-made brake after the sleeve swelled a bit. It'll go on there, but it's much grittier and more resistant to threading on than the US brake, so I just took it back off and put my US one on for the time being. I can always mess with it later. Thanks for getting the parts for me regardless.

I still need to get to an outdoor range and test fire it there so I can make sure the sleeve is on firmly enough that it won't go flying after a magazine, but I've been working on pistol stuff at the indoor range I've got a membership at instead. I could take the Maadi to the indoor range too, but in a worst-case scenario where the sleeve and brake go flying, there's no chance I'll be allowed downrange to pick it up.

My opinion of it is about the same as 762x39. It's a nice mix of power in a small package.
I'd rather have 6.5 than 556 or 545 for those reasons.
but I'd have to shoot it myself to assess it's mud busting potential and see how fun it is vs my steel targets etc. I think it could potentially become my new favorite intermediate though.
Might be a fun excuse to get vepr #4, so long as it comes in one of the rpk handguard and folder stock configurations.

Do you know if Super Veprs can be converted to an AK-esque type configuration?
>>
>>34169885
Why the fuck would you do that
>>
>>34169885
why would you even be buying the super then? like, how would you fit the AK safety on this hypothetical rifle?
>>
Can someone remind me how many US parts I have to have in my kit I'm getting built?
>>

Just curiosity is all.
>>
>>34169919
""""""Technically""""""""" 10 US parts.

But also remember that few normal people obey the law and a quick search shows that nobody has ever been prosecuted for breaking it.

Not advising you to do anything made technically illegal by an obscure and unpopular bill that most people have never heard of, of course.
Just letting you know.

>>34169919
Just send it in with cheap tapco furniture, mags, and fcg and swap it all out when you get it home
>>
>>34169950
Planning on swapping out all the US shit once it's built, except the AKT and master mount. Just wondering about the number so the builder can put it together.

Thanks for the quick response.

The correct approach to 922r is basically don't ask, don't tell.

How do you like your super vepr? I'm thinking about getting one for myself as a christmas present this year.
>>
>>34169931
you can just buy a .308 vepr in AK configuration anyway, why buy that and convert it?
>>
>>34170131
I like the fact the Super Vepr has the Combination FSP Gas-Block.
>>
>>34170202
So just buy a fs/gb. Do not fudd super vepr.

Nice mag. Where you get a 40rnd bake with a molot shield?
>>
>>34171172
Yum
>>
>>34171441
Not mine, unfortunately.
They are around, they're just a lot harder to find and when you do, expect to pay quite a bit more.
>>
>>34171570
Fug i need one .
>>
>>34171705
Me too.
But I already have 8 40 round bakelites, and even though they're not Molot mold ones, I'm pretty happy.
A Molot mold would just be for the collection and wouldn't see much use.
