alright, as some of you may know, I'm selling my plate carrier and my sordins (with a ptt) in spite of my grumblings over the stt, it really is a nice pc and my decision to sell comes from a desire for multicam gear and wanting to try something new.

I think I'm looking for a jpc type plate carrier. something small for minimalist set ups (4 mags, radio, water, to supplement my belt rig). the question is, do I just buy a jpc or do I try to find something from a smaller company? Perroz designs, even if it's skeletor's carrier is pretty neato there's probably a lot of tac gear companies out there now with cool minimalist pcs

what do leet operators and queers do? cut and shorten the tube?
>>
>>34143176
Come on, man, it's not that hard. Just push the tube back into the hydration carrier the bladder is riding in, and then use electrical tape to secure it to another part of the tube in a way that won't hinder the flow of the liquid. To route this shortened tube around the plate carrier, either get high-speed retainers (Mayflower makes some good ones) or use paracord or ranger bands to secure the tube to MOLLE.

Crye is the best, but i use 5.11 for work.

Its 2 different fields. Crye is used by militaries around the world and their country's SWATs. 5.11 is used by professionals outside of militaries. Its more stream line, less BDU looking, and, imo, feels better.

If you want tactical jeans, 5.11 just came out with a 7 pocket jean, but they have NO bdu pocket. It has the standard 4 pocket setup, plus 2 pockets on the hips with elastic for 1 m4 mag each, and the front right pocket has a knife pocket inside of it.

They're great for the "urban operator" and feal amazing.

Hypothetically if you're a prepperfag some gear would come in handy.

Also, having some gear is nice for when I eventually start doing training courses with my rifle.

Personally I wear my full kit (Propper PPE with Glow belt) before I occupy my local grocery store. Carrying mission specific items such as glow sticks, retention lanyards, IFAK. These are all mission critical to the proper extraction of pizza rolls. I use glow sticks and smoke grenades to mark my location for delivery of Papa Johns (Papa Pizza). I am however waiting my kydex holster to hold my Papa John Garlic Sauce.

LARPing of course, prepping to an extent.

At this point my favorite component is the intersection between gear and shooting sports.

Training tactical shooting is rather rigid. Very much like a sport. Consider it a martial art heh heh.

Perroz MSPC, Ferro Cummerbund, ATS Slimline chest rig.

Yep. Slimline is made for the ATS Aegis, top buckles won't fit your typical Mayflower/Swiftclip carrier without modification.

Hey I just started getting into this. I went for a belt set up first but picked up the 6094 since it was on sale and seemed popular. I have a gcode holster on the way for the belt but since I don't have anything for the pc, which direction should I go next? I was thinking of just running a kangaroo pouch insert but was interested in what you all had to say.

Im also planning on picking up another medical pouch for the pc and a utility pouch.

Thanks

3 more rifle mags wouldn't hurt. I have a big belt setup, and I only plan to have 3 rifle mags, maybe water and a small IFAK on my PC, in addition to 4 rifle mags, 2L water, and IFAK on my belt rig.

Start with 3 mags. Also rotate image and get a clearer shot. Looks like nice gear. I'd like to be able to see it.

All I was saying is the less he has on him at a time the lighter his load. If he can easily get more water with a filter on his way, why not do it? I've hiked plenty of mountains carrying way to much water and I do not recommend it

Overall pretty good, far better than most people. The following is all IMO.

I prefer to leave my kangaroo pouch open, and use it for navigation gear, or note taking gear. Thats just my preference, but plenty of people do run inserts.

As far adding a medical pouch, you dont necessarily need another one, aslong as you wearing your belt always. The purpose to wearing a belt mounted IFAK is if you ever had to drop your PC, youd still have your first line, which in your case looks like a pistola, IFAK. Aka the two things youll need to really survive. However, if your inclined, adding more medical gear is not really a bad thing.

As far as adding a utility pouch, just make sure its nothing too big, sometimes people over do it, and they put it on their side, and it just gets in the way.
>>
>>34146210
>>34146219
Appalachian mountains don't break 7k it's true but the terrain is as hard as anything recreational out west. 5k+ consecutive miles back country experience talking, Prove me wrong, protip: you can't.

It's all about planning; what time of year is it? Will there be a fast running stream on the other side of the peak? If so, down 1.5 liters at the bottom, piss the whole way up, and filter on the way down.

Is it dry and hot as fuck out and the mud puddles at the top will clog your shit and taste terrible? Then filter and carry from the bottom.

>7.62x51mm Steel Jacket NATO M80
>5.56x45mm M193
>7.62x39mm Ball ammunition'

http://www.ar500armor.com/ar500-armor-body-armor/ar500-armor-trauma-plate-advanced-shooters-cut-asc-10x12.html

>'Rating: Stand-Alone and Multi-Hit capable. Designed to defeat rifle threats up to 7.62x51 M80 NATO Ball (.308 Winchester) at velocities up to 2,780 feet per second and all pistol calibers.'

Speed kills basic steel armor, anything going as fast as m193 will easily go through.
Steel cores easily defeat basic Polyethylene plates, like AP rounds or green tip.

But steel starts off heavy, and gets gets heavier to stop M193. Poly plates start off light, and end light when they can stop AP rounds.
You want as light of plates as you can possibly afford.
