I've got a fetish for 2-3 inches of uncovered barrel at the end of a rifle, so I was thinking something like this; with 14.5" you get that ugly exposed gas block look.

If Geissele made the MK8 in an 11" rail, it would be perfect, but they jump from 9.5" to 13". So if I went 14.5" mid, it's either the 13" rail that stops just shy of where the threading of the barrel starts which my autism prevents me from liking, or 9.5" which leaves the gas block exposed. 16" just seems more practical and like a better base for making an aesthetic rifle.

It was great on the old AK because it was the only grip that I could use while using my Bulgarian 40rnd clipazine. When I had it on my old URX 3 it just felt odd. I think the Mk2's thinner profile lends it to being a bit more ergonomic
