I found a NIB NF 2.5-10x32 with the MOAR reticle for <$1050 and I was going to by it this morning, but it sold before I could put in the order. So now I'm back to square one. I'm a fan of the 1-6x group, myself. If you were to ask me four years ago, however, I'd absolutely tell you to go 1-4x unless you wanted to drop a lot of cash. A red dot is nice, and if you plan on shooting 1-50m most of the time, I'd get a red dot. However, for a general purpose optic a 1-6x just feels right on top of an AR.

There are lots of quality options. If money isn't an issue, and you like the reticles, both the K16i and Swarvoski are going to be your lightest options. The Trijicon will come between them. The Razor will be the fattest (but the cheapest) of the bunch. Honestly, I'd skip the Leupold Mk 6, the illumination is absolutely retarded frustrating. Any head movement will cause the illuminated part to either darken or brighten.
