>>

yes, get a gripod

Eh I don't really want a vertical foregrip. I don't like them. I just want some extra stability off a rest while maintaining the normal grip.

>>
>>34061562
well think of it as a lever or fulcrum. you'll get more stability the further out it is, which on an m4gery is not very far. but you could do it
>>
>>34061906
Do they work alright stuck on a magpul foregrip? A grippod and a freefloat foregrip would run about half what I paid for the entire rifle.

C CLAMP AND AESTHETICS
>>
>>34062159
This. And on a minor, subjective note, not only do they make the gun feel more front-heavy than it needs to be, 15" handguards also make the gun look disproportionately long in the front. Poor aesthetic choice. If you must have a 16" barrel, a 13" rail will look the best IMO. The 13" rail also allows for a near-flush fit suppressor if you go the route of a 14.5" or 13.7" barrel later.

Don't listen to this safe queen. Ounces mean pounds. The human shoulder/neck anatomy is not laid out to hold weight far past the center of gravity for extended periods.
>>
>>34062340
I'm not mega tall but my stock is always in the shortest position. It's nice to have the extra room for the front sight to sit unobstructed.

>>
>>34062396
If the handguard is short that means I have to put my hand even closer to the reciever so I don't block/touch the front sight.

With a 15" rail I can have the front sight out and enough room to clamp muh hand.

Yes and ? Piston shifts a good amount of the blowback up forward of your face and operating mechanisms. DI will have more shit and pressure back in the operating mechanism unless that adjustable gasblock is set in the off position. I keep forgetting people use the hk416 because piston sucks, amirite????

I'll be getting my license soon, and even though my first gun will be a "kosa" (vz. 58 which you can get for like 150 dollars here) I would like to buy an AR-15 soon after.
Problem is the market here is obviously quite limited and the guns themselves cost almost double their american price. M&P 15 is like 1100 dollars here.
So what are some decent and still quite affordable AR-15's for regular plinking and non competetive target shooting and /k/ wet dream scenario?

how can one company be such an industry-wide laughing stock and still be considered good, even high quality?

Well appart from some custom shop-tier german and czech brands that make AR's are: Bushmaster, S&W, DPMS, Ruger, Daniel Defense, NEA, Norchinko, Sig Sauer and Remington.

Heh, btw I just found out that we can buy G-36 and AUGs for about 1700 dollaridoos here.
And FALs and Italian M-14 are reasonably cheap here. That's quite neato. Our country ain't that bad I quess.
>>
>>34064233
Of those, S&W and DD

Sounds like DD will be enormously expensive though

Second the guy who said Sport II is a good gun for the price

You would be the envy of a good bit of /k/ if you had a nice, unsporterized, semi-auto G-36.

Aside from /arg/memes, BCM isn't bad nor are they a laughing stock of the industry. They'll take a hit in sales initially over keymod lost to mlok, but they'll recover quickly and get back to competing with rails once they put out their new mlok and quad rails.

BCM is fine. There are a lot companies without contracts that /arg/ loves.

keymod got btfo so you just pick back up and carry on. Not everything is going to work out for you.

I think I saw something about them putting out both MLok and a quad rail. I might be mistaken, but I know it was a possibility which would be nice.

Meh, keymod caught one and the market jumped for it. Can't blame them for producing it and marketing it if people were buying it.

There wasn't this mass exodus from it until the Crane statement on M-lok. So yeah, it's kind of hard to fault them for manufacturing it.

It'd be one thing to fault them if they were to double down still claim to be superior. Then you could laugh at them all you want.

It's not the same thing. MOE was licensed by Magpul. No other company was going to steal that lest they want to get btfo in court.

It didn't become M-Lok until Magpul revised it and then free-licensed it. So, M-Lok was not around before KeyMod. But if YOU would like to move the goal posts now from your original comment, be my guest.

They marketed the shit out of it, you couldn't go anywhere without hearing about the latest greatest keymod shit being pushed by gun magazines and industry photographers who got paychecks or free parts to use.
