yea, you either stay in and get an A&P while youre in magically, or wait until the contract is up and find a nice school.

there is litterally a constant demand for A&P mechanics in every state, everywhere.

just make sure you get a job as a mechanic and not as avionics or hydraulics, or sheet metal/airframe.

you want to be a crewcheif or "repairer" or mechanic, nothing els or thats a different career.

hydraulics and generally shops MOS are lame, you sit on your ass all day and do nothing but circle jerk your NCO's.

honestly not trying to be a dick, but you have a fucking LOOOOONG way to go man. just the school is 17 months. so however long you stay in the navy, add 17 months.

Hope you have better luck than I had with mine. My bolt broke after 60 rounds, was pretty crazily overgassed, and they told me the only reason they put a stainless barrel in it was to "save money." Also they estimated the barrel life to be at 5,000 rounds which I couldn't deal with.

They sent me a new bolt and were pleasant to deal with but I sold it and got a DD instead.

I had a SCAR 16S that wouldn't feed any type of ammo, sent it to them, they said "everything is within our spec" and sent it back still broken.
