Those mags are all plums that look black in the lighting. Sorry to disappoint. I got the plums from Legion a long-ass time ago when they first went on sale. I got the bakelites from some guy on Ebay for an insanely good price. I'm buying an SLR-104FR. It's my first rifle.

I love the look of wood furniture; however, you can't have a wooden sidefolder, and I fucking hate triangle stocks. So, I guess I'll just leave the 104 how it comes and get a 7,62 AK later with proper wood furniture. I kinda sound more bitchy than I am because I still really like the default look of the 104. Are the Arsenal triggers really shit? Am I gonna have to replace it?

it's the closest design to the prototype AK-12

not that i really care, it's just a neat anecdote
>>
>>33864282
Id say its closer to a sig rifle.
>>
>>33864294
Yeah it's definitely more of a SIG/FAL hybrid, but it has some features in common with the AK-12. The bolt is directly copied from SIG rifles.
>>
>>33864282
If you don't care so much then stop grasping at straws. It's clearly not even close to an AK-12.
>>
>>33864304

No one in their right mind would think that the M10x had anything in common with any model of AK-12. The "similar" features mentioned

They would be more niche rifles that won't sell as well as their main AK line and they have to make up for all the new tooling, parts, and testing.
No company is going to do it for these reasons.

Actual Norinco clones and Tigrs are still like $8,000, so a new production one that hasn't been beat up since the import ban would be valuable.
What's realistic for a new production Dragunov?
If it's stamped and they already have stamping equipment is it that much of a jump to produce like 100 a year for $5000/piece?

>>
>>33867442
>100 a year for $5000/piece?
That's not worth their time, they would need to be much more than that.
Keep in my mind, they would have to produce every single part of the rifle. Nothing they already make would work. That's a lot of tooling, parts, and training to produce a new rifle. And then testing them for thousands of rounds to make sure they actually work.

It's not gonna happen. And if it does it'll be like the HMG STG clone that's not true to the original and taking years to finish.

First, nice dubs

Second, it'd honestly be a waste of time and money.

Like other anons said, in order to be worth the price tag, it'd have to be a very faithful clone, and most people that'd be willing to spend 3-5k on one, would rather just save up the extra cash and buy Russian or Chinese.

The only other way to make it feasible would cause it not to be authentic, and at that point, its direct competition would cost less than half the price.

So the choices are:
-an expensive clone that's nearly the same price as the original
-an expensive look alike that collectors won't want and has to compete with less expensive designs.

Theres no demand for 5.45, its a niche cartridge.

only people that care are ak owners, and 5.45 guns are outnumbered probably 20 to 1

Limited time offering, golden tiger is not a regularly stocked item, I thought people here were supposed to be informed?

It is hilarious theres only 1 brand of 5.45 that is in spec and not complete shit.

We'd need to get rid of the GCA of '68 and the Hughes amendment as well.

>It is hilarious theres only 1 brand of 5.45 that is in spec and not complete shit.

There's not a whole lot of different 5.45 available period. You've got Tula and Barnaul which are both confirmed underpowered. GT might come and go. For a while we had 69gr red army standard that caused problems in more rifles than it was worth, but that stuff isn't coming back. Neither is 7n6.

I stopped spending money on my 5.45 AK a while ago because if I'm shooting fast light bullets I have much better choices in 5.56.

So I got an estimate back from two rivers arms about an SGL to 104 conversion

The also said
>We can only do the side fold conversion if none of the import or manufacturing data will be disturbed
Is this referring to 922r and possible NFA?
>>
>>33868922

I don't think the SGL rifles had anything back there, but I know some sporter saigas came in and RWC scribbled their shit towards the ass end of the receiver.

Source on this claim?

It's was a "regularly stocked item" there was just a huge screw up about 4 years ago and the importer got fucked out of some ammo for awhile.
That's the time when 7.62x39 GT started popping back up, as Vympel replaced the 5.45x39 order with 7.62x39.
So the importer washed their hands of 5.45 for awhile, and just recently started getting half containers of 5.45.

Gotcha makes sense, kek

Also, from a shop's perspective, would I just send them the rifle without the izhmash stock itself so they wouldn't be exposed to 922r regulations?
>how does that work?
