The piece was taken to a show by one of my relatives that Kalashnikov was at. However the specifics slip me at this moment. I'll have to call later and ask the details. The show was in the late 90s or early 2000s I believe. Even if it is a forgery it doesn't hurt me as I got it for nothing (it was a christmas present in 2012, year before Kalashnikov passed.) Even if it is forged I have a nice Chinese stock.

Edges and the corners look a bit sharp, but not so bad that it would bother me really.

What I've been thinking of recently is what I could do to my pistol grip plate to give it the die stamped look. It's actually visible from the sides. I know with my krink I can easily tell from arms reach that the pistol grip plate was die stamped. I'm thinking possibly if I hammered something around the edges to take the smoothness out of it, it might work.

Buttstocks are very tight and require a rubber mallet to the bottom of the stock to remove. The trunnion does not have a hole so you can't use a screwdriver as a lever to push it out .

Both gas tube covers are insanely tight and requires a vice and gloves with a lot of grip. I had to use my motorcycle gloves. Worried I will break the wood if I take it on and off repeatedly.

Plum handguard is also very tight and takes a lot of forcing and wriggling to get on.
Probably just going to sell the plum furniture. I like the wood

I'm still bitter at the Democrats for poisoning my former friend circle and turning it against me. Thanks, traps are set again. I know one is empty as of this morning because I can see it from the driveway. Asshole squirrels dug under the other one and stole the bait yesterday so I re-baited it. I was just using birdshot, but birdshot that does this at the ranges I was shooting him at.
