Does anyone have any infographics or links for setting up a BoB and smaller grab and go pack? I just picked up a Molle II ruck and the attachable patrol pack, and I'd like to set up one as my BoB and the patrol pack as my smaller emergency pack for my vehicle.

Feel like I need a chest rig for the range/shtf natural disaster. I'm an amateur at this GQ shit and all I have really for gear is my IWB Incog holster, 2x magazine holder and my LBT pic related. Can any anons recommend some? or what companies to look more into. Was checking out a chicom or those south african rigs frequently posted.

They're designed for sliding on everything but hard rocks and concrete. best on the market right now is the Planet eclipse you posted and the DYE's. i own a pair of the DYE's and swear on them, but they do limit mobility and get hot, with chafing issues, but all pb pads do unfortunately.
>>
>>33851454

You have people that wash your clothes for you, meanwhile I can't even get a fueler to pump gas into my Stryker for me.
>>
>>33851404
With mas grey you're basically stuck with LBT and LBX.
Like I said earlier, blue force gear has a close outsale and you can snatch yourself a pretty nice and light setup.
There's also D3CR series from Haley.
If you don't mind going slav MBC makes D3CR knock offs.
Mayflower also has a few chest rigs.
You could make your own Spiritus MK3.
Tactical Tailor also has a few offerings.
And you can't go wrong with a chicom.

Not him, but fuelers aren't even supposed to pump your gas regardless of unit or vehicle. Our unit doesn't even have them. Hell, I think we only have a single medic somewhere in the battalion but I've never seen him. A mythical creature, as it were.

pls halp my unit so broke
>>
>>33851581

They should though because it's not like they do anything else.

I shouldn't have to crawl out of my vehicle and waste 5 minutes of my life pumping gas while they stand right there playing games on their phones and complaining about how much the field sucks because they had to get out of the cab of the fuel truck for more than 30 seconds.
>>
>>33851489

>>
>>33851629

This pic inspires me to try going beltless and keep everything on a PC.

That sidearm draw looks a little cramped. Have you thought about a 45° canted holster in the same position? Or a crossdraw across the chest.
>>
>>33852612
Have you ever had to lug it around for 15 months and try and not blow off your foot in a M1114 with it?
>>
>>33852709
It does ride a bit high. I can get it out quickly but my right elbow almost goes above my shoulder. Looking for a new one since it is condor trash and it is far larger then I need. 45 degree canted would be almost worse when it is riding that high.Having to get your arm just as high and snap your wrist upward. It is not as convenient as a belt or drop down but I had the same thought as you. Keep everything on the chest and you only have to put on one piece of equipment in a hurry.

So as hydration packs go what is generally considered the best? The ones that are a backpack and hydration or just the singles that hold the bladder and take up little room?

So you have a couple options
>Camel back carrier with straps/Backpack with straps containing a camel back
This is generally a solid choice, easy to get in and out of and cheap/retard proof. Downside is you are adding more straps that could get in the way of your high speed operating.

>Pouch/Backpack that clips onto your carrier
This is another good choice as you dont have a bunch of straps bouncing around and choking you and other shit. You also will always have it with you so you are more likely to drink from it. Downside is the thiccness makes it hard to sit in a vehicle for long time (for when you want to laarp and pretend your civic is a humvee).

>Canteens/Waterbottles
These are pretty self explanatory. The issue is that you will probably drop/spill/forget them at camp and run the risk of having no water. Also they are really easy to add bulk to your belt/carrier with.

I run a camelback carrier with external straps/backpack with water bottles in it for most of the time. If I am using the SADF battle jacket (pic related) I will run it inside the dedicated pouch.
>>33852940
My issue with chest pistol is that you are likely to sweep everyone while drawing and it interferes with mag draw space. I prefer belt mounted or duty/belt drop
>>
>>33853066
How would you draw the mag if there was shit above it?
>>
>>33853233
>Pouch/Backpack that clips onto your carrier
Awesome info but can you explain this one or give an example product? Or do you just mean a generic pouch with water in it?

I've tried many camelbak configurations and I can't stand the amount of stuff flopping everywhere. I always end up using widemouth canteens because they're so much easier to remove->fill->reinsert, and also you can tell at a quick glance how much water is left.

So you have a couple options, some dedicated carriers will weave into your carrier like a big pouch. Other carriers can be attached via grimloc (see >>33853412). The Grimloc is faster but adds more plastic and a little bit of jiggle. An example of what im talking about is something like: https://www.skdtac.com/PIG-Hydration-Carrier-2L-SYSTEMA-p/pig.503.htm or the "Emdom Vehicle Hydration Carrier" .
>and also you can tell at a quick glance how much water is left.

Currently have two Nalgene pouches on my suspended battle belt for 2 liters total. Was planning on putting another 2 pouches on my carrier but currently scrapping that idea. Might take one Nalgene off the battle belt and get a camel back to go in a pack.

I totally got you. I had one just like those, the actual bladder mouthpiece kept leaking though. I would get randomly soggy in different spots throughout the day.

The bladder was ultracheap airsoft branded, so I might have better luck with something nicer. I'm moving to AZ so poor hydration is going to be way more dangerous than the slim chance of getting shot at.

>I'm moving to AZ so poor hydration is going to be way more dangerous than the slim chance of getting shot at.

>Initial battle belt plans considered GP pouch to hold bivvy and MRE
>Also possibly a 1.5 liter hydration pouch to hold small small bladders.

Not even kidding. Also next time we go shooting I'm going to drill part time using the dump pouch.

Also really starting to seriously consider P320.

Cheapest I'm realistically going to get a P226 is $600. Will need another $180 for threaded barrel, $100 for night sights, plus another $50-$100 for magazines depending.

Almost $850 said and done. P320 might be as cheap as $725 for the same features, less weight, and better capacity.

Trigger is slightly better on P226 though.

Also I need to get my hands on a P07/P09 to see how the trigger feels. I watched a video review of the trigger on a P07 and holy fuck does it have a ton of creep and it doesn't have much of a wall at all.

Sides and back makes it a lot better. Ideally a battle belt too. I ran upward to 1600rds with my setup.

200 rds on left and right bias. 400rds
200 rds behind those. 800rds total
200 rds outer back each side. 1200 rds total

200rds drum on SAW. 1400 rds total.

If you want to get tricky you can load 50 or 100 rds link onto the feed tray. And have a 200rd drum with the first round unattached so that when you run out of your 50-100rds you just open and load immediately.

Are bump helmets still okay if I'm building a budget kit? I know they used to be the shit, but then ballistic helmets caught up in terms of weight and balance.
>>
>>33857911
It's getting to the point nowadays where you can buy an ACH with Level IIIA Ballistic properties for under $100 on eBay.

Unless you want the aesthetics (Which can still be achieved with a high cut ACH), there's little point spending $80 on a decent bump helmet when there's helmets out there with ballistic properties for only $30 more that don't weigh that much.

That being said, no problem with going for a simple bump helmet if that's what you're trying to go for.

If you have a super restrictive budget, it might be worth going for an airshit helmet. OpsCore FAST clones exist in airsoft for like $30
>>
>>33857863
Thanks, what's the issued pouch called? Every time I try to look for a three mag pouch I get tons of results for pic related.
>>
>>33857977
For the clones I'd recommend OneTigris. Mine's taken a few bumps and shots from bbs and is still going strong with no signs of wear or damage.

One thing I'd recommend is to spend 20 extra bucks for some better padding though. Shits uncomfortable especially with head mounted comms or hearpro
>>
>>33857977

I have an ACH and a PASGT helmet already, but they're both past their "expiration date" (another reason I'm not into ballistic helmets), a bike / skateboard helmet can be had for $20, less if it's used.

Alternatively, are there any instructions or specific methods for cutting my ACH to clear my ears since it would work fine as a bumper?

Internally the helmet is lined with two layers of pads. A softer vented foam (brown) sits on the head and a more dense foam (grey) sits further back. The strap system uses a sort of dial liner system to retain to the back of the head with the standard as expected adjustments for head size. The chinstrap is lined with some sort of vented soft anti-chafe material (feels like suede almost)
>>
>>33858575
>stretch material is only on crotch and above the knees though?
where you really want it is in the actual area under your crotch, the taint basically. That's where pants tend to blow out. The area up front around your junk is not going to blow out, your legs won't even articulate in a way that necessitates stretch material there.

>those pockets are deep as fuck and are cut like that so you can reach in easily with gloves on
nothing you need for easy access should be carried in that kind of pocket. It's seriously that easy to lose your shit. There's a reason why Beyond, Crye, and Patagonia all used a more jeans-like pocket angle on their combat pants.

It wasnt actually $39, the dude was marking it to avoid customs issues on his end. Hence the quotes around it. The helmet itself is rated to ukranian level 1a (not NIJ level 1) and tested in germany to NATO frag spec. Going to shoot it.

You won't, not by any real NATO guys. These things are really stupid.

When you stuff a wound, you are supposed to find the bleeding artery with your finger or dick or whatever and apply pressure there and stuff at that spot. It's going to be near impossible to do that with this because you are just throwing celox balls in a wound. This thing is like COD medic shit. When this guy gets to a surgeon with a hundred of these things in him, he is going to beat the shit out of whoever did that. He has to go in and get all that shit out to fix this mother fucker, versus just pulling out a strand of gauze.

Please stop this meme if you care about your mom.

And you have a lot of individual pieces that are between you and the actual break in the artery. When you are trying to apply direct pressure to the break, will these pieces not try to separate and move around? What happens when it's not stopping the bleeding and you need to pull them out and put in more/fresh ones? You cannot stuff on top and expect that to do anything.

MEDIC!!

Can we get someone who has actually dealt with major arterial bleeds to weigh in on this conversation?
>>

>>

>>
>>33861766

IT WILL STOP THE BLEEDING, YES

but it will only work for a certain amount of time, their page said that they can be detected by XRAY... I personally would use tourniquet paired with Israeli bandage and quick clot gauze, as it seems to be most effective, easy to remove, bleeding stopped temporarily, and high change of life if quickly taken to hospital. quick clot is not always the best, since it can stick to insides, it would be situation dependent, but this product is better than no treatment IMO

Clearance included?
Lockmart mall cops are issued one gun for like 10 people and the other 10 people have fake guns. They randomize who gets the gun but its still dumb as shit. They hire brown people to try to walk around into sensitive areas and you have to stop them just to make sure you arent napping on the job.
