Her history of speech AND legislative action support the claim.

Trump is a mixed bag. He's made statements in the past against guns but he also shows a clear willingness to change his beliefs as time passes and tolerate things he doesn't necessarily agree with if he believes them in the best interest of the state. Granted that can flow both ways. He also understands that firearms rights are very important to the majority of his support base and was fairly pro-2A during his campaign, as are his sons who in no subtle manner suggested there were a number of actions they wanted to try and push during his administration.
I don't think firearms are currently a priority for Trump personally, beyond maintaining the current level of regulation, there are billls cooking right now but there is just so much else that needs tending to early in an administration. Especially the current geopolitical tensions.
