Always wondered if burned gunpowder residue would trigger the TSA into taking me for secondary screening...

Me thinks they're looking for something a bit more exotic, like RDX or TNT residue
>>
>>33740829
I've heard stories of troops returning home being taken aside for gunpowder residue

I think I just looked sus going through the terminal, cause in all my times going through that tiny place I've never seen anyone get extra screening of any sort

I got wiped down when I forgot I had a leatherman in my backpack. I mailed it back to myself from the airport.

I was going home on leave once. Literally got out of field that morning. In closest airport to base. They pull me aside for swabbing while letting a group of rag heads through without issue.

You should've shot those ragheads down on the spot. Fuck mudslimes. MAGA. Thank you for your service. God bless America.

Not sure if this is supposed to be sarcastic or not. Wasn't trying to be like muh service, just posting an experience off a post from anon.

nope. bakelite is pretty neat stuff but it's not easy to get good results from without proper equipment (most importantly a good mould and pressure vessel). unfortunately there isn't much good video documentation of the processes involved either, but written documentation still exists.

you can see how the texture of bakelite magazines comes about from pouring of the resin before it is cured

if it wasn't so difficult to work, i would try experimenting with it
>>
>>33741351
How's that PPS43/52? I'm thinking about doing a kit build of one.

>>33742202
yeah, the chemicals aren't hard to get a hold of, you just need to prevent the resin from bubbling while it cures, which requires a pressure vessel.

if you wanted to make bakelite mags that's a whole other challenge. getting the metal feed lips and locking lugs in place sounds like trouble. I suppose you could put them in the bottom of the mould and let gravity help

zasta or chimps, do you have pictures of moulds or other equipment they used?

Repeated barrel extended because I'm retarded. Do with the barrel. 3 choices. Most 16" barrels are the od of the original/surplus trunion. You can bore out the pistol trunion for the new barrel. You can use a surplus trunion and new barrel or you can just extend the pistol barrel/what mine has.
Pistol lower

There's still a lot of benefits of being able to not leave 60 casings (or more depending on design) where ever you're shooting. I think if they were convenient/widely available a lot of people would use them if you guilt tripped them about the environment. In fact, don't steal that, I'm going to go cut up one of my old school back packs and get working on a kickstarter or indigogo, XD

Is there some kind of fucking trick to reinstalling an extractor/spring/pin in the bolt? Europeans were brushing their teeth with human and animal urine until like the 17th century. Urine is safe, sterile, and very versitile for cleaning. the modern aversion to urine is complete non-sense, and is probably being pushed by semites to prevent aryans from achieving their maximum power level.

The fixed stock or folder?
Do you still want to be able to mount a bayonet?

What are you trying to get out of said device?
Flash hiding?
Braking/Compensating?
Maximum concussion?

I have this Bulgarian slotted brake/comp, and it allows for a bayonet.
Sadly they're OOS and when they pop up they seem to go back OOS just as quickly.

http://www.k-var.com/shop/AK-351.html

Damage Industries makes one similar, but it doesn't seem to be bayonet compatible.

You could stop being poor.
If you want Zenit Co products you're going to have to pay the piper.

There are some airshit companies that have been making clones of Zenit stuff, but who knows how shoddy the chinks are at making that stuff, nor how well it'll hold up to actual gunfire.

I'm getting the fixed stock (cheaper) 107-11

>>33746474
>PWS
>$70-100
Don't.
They don't do anything a $30 brake does except cost more.

A 74 brake won't work without a adapter as the 107R/107-11 has 14/1LH threads.
Any 14/1LH 74 "style" device you'll find is junk.
>This is the kind of adapter you'll need for an actual 74 brake

http://www.cncwarrior.com/M14x1-LH-to-M24-Muzzle-Thread-Adapter-p/24399.htm

If you want something heavy on the end of you barrel look at the CNC Warrior Cross brake
It's fuckhuge, but it actually works unlike those fake 74 brakes.

http://www.cncwarrior.com/7-62-Cross-Brake-p/25250.htm

But really, try that Damage Industries brake out.
I think you'll be pleasantly surprised at how well it works.
>>
>>33746510
>I paid $315 for the saiga itself
And?
>Now they're like $600-$800, Thanks Obama.
But what does that have to do with it?
Look at some of the high power glass that's out there.
There's some guys that have to pay 2 or 3 times what they paid for a rifle on quality optics.

Our resident Ryan Gosling impersonator has like $1500 worth of Zenit accessories on a $1000 gun.

>I'm just going to JB weld a rail on.

Planning on building a baby ak here.

Just a forewarning: I'm not as experienced and familiar with weaponry compared to most gun-owning /k/ommandos and am new to /k/

That being said, I'm looking for someone to walk me through building an Ak74 in 5.45 with preferably a folding stock. Assembling the gun isn't a problem as I have the gunsmithing tools necessary. The only problem is I'm overwhelmed with all the options and different parts out there and don't know where to look.

Anyone willing to walk me through the process will be greatly appreciated. Budget is $400-650 with the latter being one already built.

Yep, but I definitely trust my nigga Alex to send some good shit.

He's good people, hence why, I guess.

Also battery life is alright for 600 Lumens.

It'll last about 1.5 hours at 600 then it steps itself down to like 1-200 for the rest of the battery's life which is about another half hour of use.

It doesn't really matter.

Energizer, Surefire, Duracell, whatever, they all keep it going for roughly the same amount of time.

Which isn't to say you'll have the damn thing on for 2 hours straight under any circumstance, at least not that I can think of.

I usually just swap the batteries when it steps down in lumens.

You can get a 12 pack of Surefires for like 20 bucks on amazon though, so I'm not too worried about it.

Ye.

Alot of what you pay for with Surefire is their warranty, though actually getting a hold of them is a pain in the ass, there's like one guy that works CS or something.

I had a trouble with mine and the momentary on switch so they sent me two end caps to try and find one that worked best.

Turned out the one it shipped with was made poorly, and they just told me to keep both good ones.

Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-kun is probably my all time favorite these days. I've watched the series at least 3 or 4 times and it's still funny to me every time. I've been trying to find other great comedy anime since then; Konosuba came close but didn't quite measure up. Kiss Him Not Me has a lot of the same humor GSNK did, but it's also just not quite there.

I'll vouch for Black Lagoon, Yamato 2199, and Area 88 as well, though they're obviously way different in tone.

I recently built a Bulgarian AK-74 from a parts kit. Some of the parts are a little scratched up, so I'd like to paint it to look factory new.

I have a can of Rustoleum Semi-Gloss Black, would this be a good choice?

Don't remember where I read this, but I give my word that it's true. In Rhodesia, militants would often ditch their guns and run once the battle started turning against them (as it almost always did, because if wars were won by the guys fighting on the ground, Rhodesia would still be here today). Rhodesian troops were confused as to why they were constantly finding AKs with the rear sights all the way up like that, so they asked captured guerrillas. It turned out that none of the guys they spoke to knew what sights were or how they worked. They thought that setting it to the highest number made it shoot harder. Che Guevara wrote about similar things during his time in the Congo. He said that the locals didn't understand guns and would just fire aimlessly in the general direction of the enemy, then run away once their magazine/belt was expended.
