Me and about 6 of my buddies wear about 3 pairs of jeans, and buy one of those $8 10 pack of white tees at target, and put on 20 of them. Layer it up with a fairly thick leather jacket and wear a motor cycle helmet with protective Eyewear running around in a woods shooting each other with .22 caliber firearms drunk as fuck. It's fun as hell

It's got my thumbs up, my brother was 0311 in the marines, came back with some serious PTSD. I did a little research on helping people who suffer from ptsd and the culture shock of reverting to civilian life, turns out, airsoft is a top tier PTSD treatment method. It recreates the environment a vet was used to in a safe sense, but shows them that something like hearing a shot going off doesn't mean someone just died, and help them get over anxiety. Me and him bought some cheap gear and found some local games to go to, he got really into it and is doing a shitton better, has a wife and kids now and seems genuinely happy. It's also just a load of fun to begin with but who'd of though.

This reminds me of paintballing with my buddies. One of them shot another in the back from close range. We had like a 5 minute standoff of everyone pointing their guns at each other and yelling put your guns down. Shit was intense.

I think airsoft stores in general should stop selling, marketing, or pandering to kids... in my opinion. After all, this is an 18+ sport, kids should be a minuscule minority in this sport. Apart from that, polarstar/HPA should be banned or looked down upon (see >>33543405 's video), and I guess the community as a whole should strive for less drama and "CHEATER OF THE WEEK" sort of videos on Youtube. I mostly see these sort of issues in America, not too sure about Canada though. I don't think these sort of things happen often in Japan since "discipline."

Also, trademarks and officially licensed bullcrap products are stupid. I'm looking at you, (((CyberGun))).

These sort of questions are usually answered on /r/airsoft subreddit, and I know /k/ doesn't like airsoft. Reddit again, is quite cancerous so I highly recommend you don't "swallow" everything they say as they can be half-retarded sometimes. All they ever recommend is Krytac, G&G, Ares Amoeba, or whatever, while outright trashing brands or products they know very little about. Also, HPA/PolarStar is cancer, please don't go that route.

Remember to always do extensive research about what you're buying or getting, this is a HOBBY after all, people can't "spoon feed" you every time of every single thing. Just like real steel, you need to maintain your airsoft guns regularly, so keep that in mind. Start with AEG and if you become more comfortable, go for GBB/GBBR. Midcaps are your friend, hicaps rattle. Once you get into this sport deeply, you will be spending a lot of money for upgrades and gear to look a e t h e s t i c in the field. So be cautious.

Airsoft is supposedly more "team based," as opposed to Paintball.

I play/collect, if I didn't have an indoor field to go to though I probably wouldn't play just wall hang my shit. Bunch of people larping in the woods firing on full auto outside of their effective range is boring, clearing rooms and throwing anemic co2 flash bangs at each other is fun though. I wish more outdoor fields were modeled more like villages/towns or someshit so it keeps everyone semi close like at indoor fields. Around here it's not that way unfortunately.
