I'm not posting a picture of myself, but I'm 5'4" 176 lbs. I bench 210 3x, squat 265 3x, deadlift 300 3x, and did a 5k in under 30 minutes last month. I'm working on slimming down, but it takes time. I'm down ~9 pounds over the last two months.

I don't even fucking know why. I strained a muscle 2 weeks ago, took a week off, lifted Monday and Wednesday this week feeling fine and suddenly I get fucked up again, although this feels like it's in a different place and it's not nearly as bad.

I'm a skellington though; 6'1" 156lbs, dead 242lbs x3, squat 165 for 4 or 5, OHP I can do 100 for 5. Last time I did any race was a 5 mile cross country/hill course in 36 minutes, last mile and half was 9 minutes 6 seconds but after 4 months of having a fucked IT band and only doing excersise bike or swimming.

Starting 5/3/1 on Monday, if my back is alright. I've never had an actual programme except physiotherapy stuff combined with OHP/squat/dead and random bits and pieces like pull ups, chest press etc

I've dicked up my back and elbow and have had shoulder surgery, messed up my wrists and tore up my knee on a pothole during a hump in SOI so no bully please.

Current bench is about 315, I don't squat anymore because of my back never got much higher than the low 300s, Deadlift is ~405 but that hurts.

At my peak before the injuries I was 185 lbs. Bench max was 365 deadlift was 495.

My specialty is weighted pull ups at 5x 135 (the last one is ugly though)

I have always been slow though, in the Marines my 3 mile time was around 24 min then in the army my best run time for 2 miles was 15:24.

Nope, just going through a bad spell at the moment. Quite honestly the back thing probably stems from trying to finish sets of deadlifts after my form has collapsed from fatigue, although I never go full retard with a cat back I do sometimes try and do my reps even if I feel that my back just can't hold straight under the weight.

The ITB thing is, the physios think, too many miles on weak legs/lower body. I'm doing a lot of single leg isolation work and focusing on squats and deadlifts, none of my lifts are good but my squat is especially bad and only recently started improving very slightly. Whatever I was doing over the years in terms of gait and training apparently never really activated the posterior chain, learning to squat was completely alien and I found I was weak as shit at it.

I'm an athletic skinny as near as i can tell, i could once run a 5:30 mile, do 55 pushups in a minute, 65 situps in a minute, and about 8 pull ups, and can bench more than my body weight i recently discovered. This was all done through just years of consistent calisthenics.

I haven't been able to work out in about a month because I'm moving houses, but once i get settled I am going to start lifting and mountain climbing.

Used to be on /fit/ but thats not really me anymore, my life stopped revolving around lifting, now its just a supplement to my life. I mainly browse /out/, /tv/, and /k/ now.

I went from bodybuilding->oly lifting/powerlifting -> purely rock climbing. During each phase my bodyweight fluctuated from 175lb -> 210lb -> 180lb (currently at, want to lose another 20lb) respectively.

Time flies by, eh? Its crazy how different you can be at different points of your life.

Physical strength has a lot more to do with it than distance running. I'm no slouch as a runner, I do my fair share of four and five mile runs and plenty of sprints, generally clocking 13:20-13:50 on the APFT.

No, but 10 mile runs will improve your endurance more than four or five mile runs. It's simply natural progression. You will eventually start running them if you want to improve.

Lifting has little to do with dragging people across the ground or lifting them up. Really, weightlifting has little to with anything but weightlifting itself. It doesn't translate well to other tasks and vice versa. One of the reasons why people who never lifted are not going to be good at lifting right away, regardless of how strong they are, for example.

Bottom line is, you only need to be so strong in combat. Being a hungry skeleton is certainly not good, but being a homoerotic bodybuilder isn't good either. On the other hand you can never have too much endurance.

Ask yourself why APFT doesn't include weightlifting.

6'0 and 19.5 stone(270lbs-ish) here. Currently in the cutting part of my Bulk 'n Cut, only semi-wanting to kill myself.

Currently, I bench 110kg (240lbs or so), was at 150kg but I tore something in my shoulder a year or so back, and I haven't built the confidence to go past 110kg since, despite the fact I can quite comfortably whack out 20 reps with relative ease.

I don't really deadlift or squat, prefer leg-pressing for the most part. Currently sitting comfortably at 350kg for that (771lbs), which is nice. Could probably go for 400kg, but the press at my gym doesn't have any more room for plates.

I'm trying to get a bit leaner now anyway, I basically went from fat to a human brick over the course of a year.

Been focusing more on cardio now, tend to run around the track for 15-20 minutes/until I want to die, then do some kickboxing on the heavy bag afterwards for half an hour.

I've gone from plodding around the bag throwing shots to being much lighter on my feet, and being able to throw high roundhouses and question mark kicks without going on my arse, which is nice.

And I'm finally starting to attain some good peaks on my biceps, just in time for t-shirt weather.

IBS does not work well with running and jogging until I get my medical pot approved, but if I do then I cant buy any new guns. Causes a problem.

I was about 275lb or so in May 2016. Dropped and rose a bit, but probably two months ago I ended up at 260lb or so. Then I think last I weighed was around 3 weeks ago and I was around 255lb. By now I think I'm 250lb or maybe a LITTLE less but I don't know for sure; would love to weigh myself again. Hopefully I'll get the chance in 10 day's time.

5'1 here, my birthweight was 3.5 pounds.
