So, /k/. I'v be been looking oat VS VAL's for some time now and have been having difficulties finding any information on purchasing one. I was wondering if anyone here knew if/or how to import one into the U.S.A.
Just check Gunbroker everyday for the next 7 years, one's bound to show up.

Correction on the initial post. AS VAL*
>>33459883
You can't and it's impossible.
>>33459883
so as it turns out the AS Val doesn't exist in the US( neither does the VSS vintorez)
so good luck getting one but supposedly molot arms is making plans on a civie version that would come in 7.62x 39. No snowflake russian memeout for us. Just saying its gonna be a while until they can get permission to import this.
its so sad.
>>33460441
half the fun of the AS VAL is 9x39mm though
>>33460460
I'm sure there are a few people who own one in Ukraine
Its a bit of a stretch but if you could do it legally (hi mr atf) then you may be able to get one imported somehow.
>>33459883
i want one
>>33459883
The closest you'll get is an airsoft one. I've seen the mags pop up on AK-files from time to time but the gun itself is unobtanium.
>>33459883
Well, the AS VAL is manufactured at a high cost and low number, the VSS apparently doesn't share in this fact for some reason, however, they aren't even issued typically in the russian army, are in a caliber not imported, and likely not one has seen daylight in the US. How to get? Simple, make russian mafia contacts and have them import it for you. Ammo will still be expensive. Or, option two, break into the Tula plant, steal the technical drawings, translate them, and machine it in your garage with your CNC machines and heat treating equipment.

>>33460441
that doesn't make any sense, we have ak47 in the US so we should have this too?
>>33462032
I know this is bait but are you actually retarded/12 years old?
>>33459883
>So, /k/. I'v be been looking oat VS VAL's for some time now and have been having difficulties finding any information on purchasing one.
jesus christ you're a fucking idiot
>>33462032
We have semi auto AK variants, yes.
None of which are actually Soviet made automatic AK47s, so no, we don't have any AK47s.
>>33462032
you're right there are tons of them out there, don't let anyone tell you otherwise.
There's probably a market for a US based company to just say fuck it and make a 300blk or 458socom based clone of these. Integral suppressed and all.
>>33462115
>458 socom
Not only would that be retarded but it would have to be build heavy as fuck
>>33462115
>make a 300blk
oh so just like a 7.62x39 AK?
It's not on the VRA and never can be imported.
>>33462075
I don't think there is a differentiation between a Select fire AK and a Semi Auto AK. (Designation wise atleast) So Technically, yes we have them
>>33462246
>I don't think there is a differentiation between a Select fire AK and a Semi Auto AK.
spin on it, dumbass
>>33462246
Aight, find me a semi AK with AKM or AK47 markings and I don't think any civilian AK is patterned after the original AK, only the AKM.
>>33462150
Yeah, except have reasonable selection of subsonic bullets and ammo available in the US.
So no, not like 7.62x39.
>>33462141
The cartridge was entirely built around an AR15 platform....? But yea, maybe 458socom wouldn't be the best.
>>33462326
yeah but AKs don't cycle with supers and subs meaning the round will have less energy than 9x39 or just be a x39
>>33462255
Nah, Some were sold with AK-47 or AKM Markings
>>33462301
Polytech Legend
>>33462350
Ah shiettt
>Its a "where do I buy a VSS/VAL/Vikhr in the USA?" thread
>Stay tuned for part 2, "why doesn't somebody make a loose reproduction of it in .300 memeout?"
Do we have to have this thread every week?
What ever happened to Project Yedinorog? I haven't heard shit about it in years.
>>33462382
The main guy got a hand injury that slowed progress and then everyone stopped talking to each other.
>>33462246
What did he mean by this?
>>33462425
That sucks, I miss when he posted here a lot. That thread where some Slav thought he was a HOMO sting was awesome.
>>33462356
Ha. Also, box for a Hungarian Semi-Auto
>>33460441
isn't molot arms going out of buisness
>>33462691
No, filed for bankruptcy, which is apparently not an uncommon thing. Plus, they're making money in the USA market, and everyone knows this.
>>33459883
How the fuck do you expect to find a "top secret" assault rifle series in the market? Maybe in the black market but then again its probably broke.
>>33462453
>>33462425
He posted last time we were talking about it. It's confirmed dead.
>>33463633
It is not a "top secret" for long time but internationally patented by Kalashnikov Concern, unlicensed copying may result in legal action
>>33462301
>and I don't think any civilian AK is patterned after the original AK
DDI Milled AK is patterned after the Type III, or ar least looks like it based in the lightning cuts and stock angle.
>>33465545
>internationally patented by Kalashnikov Concern
What's the US patent number, then? It'll have technical drawings. OP could print out a copy and give it to a gunsmith.
