Yes I'm serious, a fudd. The idea that Surefire and only Surefire can make a light decent enough to stand up to "combat" is not only retarded but completely obsolete, which brings it in line with most of the things fudds believe.

>best reticle on the planet
That's pretty subjective. It's a pretty cool reticle but at 8x if I'm looking for precision I'll probably go elsewhere. That and getting into that price range, I don't see PA's lack of heritage in excellent quality glass as a strong selling point. I'd probably opt to give Trijicon my money in the 1-8x game if I'm willing to get towards $1500.

I got my poverty Geissele trigger(B-G2S-E) in today, feels great having never used a 2 stage before, got it down to $129 with a presidents day special and gift card credit.

Next up on the list is a sling and weapon light. Based off what you fags shill the first two options are a BlueForce sling and SF Scout, just gotta figure out what kind of light mount I want since I can go mlok or 1913. Any other light/sling suggestions?

It may not be the best reticle for precision, but it is objectively one of the best all-around reticles, especially for "muh combat purposes" which should matter to you if you are one of the people that seriously believes you need to pay $300 for a flashlight that won't fall apart.

$1300 counts as gucci considering the stuff most AR owners are running...it's also japanese glass, and Mr. GnG pretty much swears its as good as other options in the price range.
>>
>>33133231
The little more magnification will help you see your target a bit clearer, which if you're new to the bench gun thing will help out a lot.

Once you're used to shooting scoped rifles at range you can step down the magnification. You're going for groups, correct?

I hunt at 4x to 250 yards but if I was group shooting i would bump up to a 4x12 or 4x16.

Never implied that in my life, but I am one of the people who will pay $200+ for surefire because I've had enough experience with them to know they won't die under most any feasible circumstances and their LED stuff is top notch.
>>
>>33133231
Different anon here. I've had customers complain that a 3-9 wasn't enough at 200 yrds. If you're looking to shoot 400 I recommend bumping up in magnification. Better to have too much than not enough.

Okay when I look at your rifle I don't see a damn "block ii build." I see a fucking AR with an obnoxious quad rail and it makes me angry because I hate quad rails. I also had never heard about a damn "block" anything build until I made the mistake of getting mixed up with the /arg/ crowd. Your wannabe operator slang references to your particular AR furniture scheme are therefore meaningless to me. And yeah, I don't think a PA 1-8 FFP would look bad on it at all, since you had to ask.

Well if it's a first AR and you don't plan on much customization then it has pretty decent features compared to the other budget ARs.
It would be a good candidate if all you want to do is put an optic and sling on it and leave it alone after that.
>>

That's what I wanted to hear. I may customize it down the line but it's not my immediate concern. Until I become very intimate with the platform I see no need to try and customize it. I've never been super interested in the AR platform but I want something with cheaper ammo, higher rate of fire and also not produced during a time when Austro-Hungary was still a thing.

MC tropic makes sense as you can see by my environment. The razor HD II is cool, but is TWICE the weight of the Leupold and the reticle is lacking for precision work; especially without a good mil dot / hash system. HD II is 48 oz, MK 6 is 23 oz. Just spend the extra 300$ and get the MK 6 IMO.

Naw, I do, because for a while the only way I could do any sort of rifle drills was to go pre-dawn when nobody else was at the range.

Morning /k/, I'm gonna be buying an rmr for my acog soon, looking at the rm06 or rm09 models, anyone have experience with these? Also, should i zero it at 25 or 50 yards?

i have an rm01 and the 3.25 moa dot is almost too big but the 1moa dot seems like it would be too small.
the rmr isn't for precision or long range so i suggest the rm06.

zero it at 50 or 100 since the height over bore is so big, if you zero at 25, the bullet is gonna arc a lot.
>>
>>33135988
Awesome, thanks for the reply man. Sounds like I'll go with the 50. I liked the idea of a 1moa dot but i also think it might end up being too small.

Should I be confident that Adco can remove this pinned A2 and install a KAC NT4 flash hider without fucking up the threading/muzzle?

Or should I just buy a new 14.5" barrel and FSB then slap this barrel on a new upper with some cheap furniture and resell it?

Unless you're going to get something with a lobster tailed exractor like a LMT, KAC, or LWRC bolt, they're all the same if they've been MPI'd. NiB isn't all that great of a coating and this is coming from someone who fell for that meme hard. It has a tendency to wear down faster than TiN, Np3, or black nitride coatings.

After about ~1000 rounds my NiB BCG has enough wear on some of the contact points that it might as well have been a basic bitch phosphate BCG. My recommendation is that unless youre shooting suppressed or like the pretty colors, mag phosphate BCG's should be fine.

Barrel profiles are different between the M4 and the SOCOM barrel. SOCOM is heavier.

I don't know if I should do a clone or a one off free float upper or what. I do love my rifle but when you get the opportunity to buy more gun shit you jump on it.

depends what muzzle device you use. SF3P or FH556RC puts you at 16" w/o spacer, with the NT4 you have to use a 0.2" spacer to get the barrel length to be 16" when p&w

dont clone. you've been warned.
