Manix 2 s110v lightweight
Why is it these edc knives never show signs of use, or sharpening?
This was my favorite

Some people have office jobs
Some people use their knives
My current knife until I break it or lose it, also currently the most expensive knife I own.

its a little large i handled a manix and i just felt like fuck that knife is huge.

I was looking at a valet or emissary. How do you like that one?

nice scales on that skyline
>>32895561
thanks

It's actually a Kershaw, I like the tanto blade because I often find myself scraping paint or stickers with it, and for the most part the tip stays sharp in all other use because I use the transition edge as the tip, for most other uses.

such a great knife

My blade chipped not long after I got it.Not a big chip, but still.I don't know if the steel they use is brittle, or I just got a bad one.

Well assuming you want something PM2 level or higher here is what I have that is relatively light weight:
If you don't need a tank, I highly recommend looking at the Al Mar Eagle HD, they are supper light weight, but the not the ones with the Bayonet blades, not that much Utility.
The Boker "Tuxedo" Kwaiken is really nice, but it's the only light variation of the Kwaiken due to it's Titanium and Carbon Fiber Handle. It's one of my most carried knives.
The blue/s110v PM2 has been on my list for a long time... But Any PM2 is great. Mine is a Orange/DLC CTS-XHP.
The Premium Skyline with CF scales and s30v is the cheapest on this list at $100, and is the lightest.
The ZT 0770CF is nice a light weight. Carbon Fiber scales and an Aluminum backspacer. And the regular one with a stone wash blade looks pretty classy. Mine is a DLC CPM-M4 one.

Sorry if I'm spelling like a retard... I'm pretty tired.

>never held a job where you use a blade 15+ daily
>>32896737
Complete agreement.

the del mar is nice but i need more belly. Its simply to skinny.
i absolutely love the skyline and have thought about getting a premium model but i just dont like its unsubstantial feel in the hand. it feels like im not holding anything or as if there isnt enough handle however it is still ergonomic its hard to explain. but im still considering it due to how light and how great the blade is.
That boker is really nice too. thank you for you input.

No problem.. Funny how we all look for "substantial" feeling but want light weight at the same time.
Of all the knives I own, that Boker Kwaiken, and my ZT 0561 and Brous Blade Snipper are the only 3 that do it... although 0561 is not that light.

Thats why i went for a PM2 because it is kind of light and still substantial. that brous looks good too. Ive also been looking at a delica.
Hows that CTS-XHP?

Trying to get pic related. If I do I will probably change out the scales. Wish these were more in line with delica and Endura pricing.

So far I really like it, I have the PM2 in it and a Cold Steel Code4 in it.
It is slightly harder to sharpen than s30v but seems to hold an edge longer. And I've used the Code4 pretty hard and have only got one small dent when I bit into a large packaging staple.

That thread died so I started this one earlier today >>>32890967

That's why I couldn't find it. Thanks, anon.

oh alright i heard its similar to s30v but perhaps a bit more brittle. i was looking at the cold steel american lawman as well. But idk about its weight. i dont think its much lighter than my current edc.
>>32897067
i like that one too but the hump for the spidey hole just bothers me
>>32897708
Oh that reminded me a Knife I keep forgetting about but I'm going to get at some point. The Ultimate Hunter... but it's average weight
Yeah more brittle, looking back closer at the damage on the tip of my Code4 (been too lazy to sharpen it out yet) and it seems like it is micro chipped rather then dented like s30v would be... so it acts more like it's big brother CTS-204p or on the very high end ZPD-189.
