He was cheated out of it. Look at what position Clinton's VP pick used to do. Then look at what his replacement used to do.
>>
>>32882257
If you're ok with a polymer lower, you just need the lower and jig for $180, a lower parts kit for $100, and a buffer tube/spring/buffer/stock for however much. Poorfag it up by finishing the lower with a drill press. Attach a .300blk upper of your choice. And if you're feeling spendy, buy a mini lathe for $700 or so and finish off the setup with a suppressor.

These are rough price estimates, obviously. Look around. Example:

If he is genuine (and compared to Trudeau I'm willing to take a chance one it) about what he sets out to accomplish we could truly test out Libertarianism in Canada once and for all.

>virtue signaling is now an international priority

It would be much sadder if it weren't so true.
>>
>>32885252
Libertardianism doesn't work unless a country is racially and culturally united with a strong nationalist spirit.
>>
>>32885274
I don't necessarily agree that it requires a 'strong nationalist spirit'. The whole point of Libertarianism is to allow people the freedom of choice/association/etc. Its not about conformity.

That is the unity and conformity of Libertarianism, that everywhere wants the same thing to be left alone. The 'strong nationalist spirit' would be the shared belief that they enjoy freedom and power in the hands of the individual, thus uniting around the belief could be perceived as nationalism.

I guess so. Its just that, when I hear nationalism it tends to be a group/collective thing rather than the individual. Its what can we do to better the nation as a state. Rather than hold the state as being something that is ultimately supposed to be the employee to the people.

You know. Rather than the tail wag the dog, its the dog wagging the tail. Although I certainly agree that the mindset of freedom of the individual and the responsibility that freedom holds is certainly lacking in Canada. I imagine it terrifies a lot of people actually.

Which is why I feel firearms are the foundation of that freedom. It removes coercion and replaces it with the option of convincing someone. Essentially putting power back into the hand of an individual. Sure it can get messy and there is bound to be someone who will abuse that kind of potential. However, people on the whole are not likely to do so. If they were to you'd see a great deal more death in the US rather than the major decline in firearm related death that we see today.

The same can be said of Canada, which has seen great reductions since the 70's. Years before a lot of the major gun control has been introduced.

Ultimately it is a mindset and one that won't easily be introduced. The best bet is Maxime Bernier. If he gets elected I hope he follows through. If things go according to how it should play out it would be a interesting event to witness. For the better or the worse.

I agree 100%. If you look at history some people have been able to manage with extreme freedom, I believe it was the Boers who were extremely individualistic and libertarian but in times of war they would unite with all fighting age males (fathers and sons mostly) being required to supply their own firearms and horses. Freedom is a terrifying proposal since its puts most if not all of the responsibility onto your shoulders. I really wish Canada had an analog to 2A but it's wishful thinking in the current political climate.

>>
>>32889519
>talking about Canadian firearm laws and policies doesn't count

>>32889849
So long as the overlength is ok and it is manufactured that way or done by a certified gunsmith.

Local gunsmith had to to do that to an over-under that had damage at the end of the barrel.

It was a nice looking shorty O/U. No idea how much he was charging for it.
>>
>>32890258
Actually, cutting the barrel below a certain length, even by a gunsmith, is illegal. Several years back, there was an incident where a police force cut down the barrels on some shotguns (870's IIRC) and eventually sold them to the public. The mounties eventually realised this was the case and went around confiscating them.

They exist here. Hard to find though. And the aesthetics are affected by the barrel length requirement.

Same with Makarovs, though thanks to Harper's ban on Russian imports you can't get new production Baikals for the past few years.

Many businesses are inefficient, nobody can deny that, and nobody can deny that government is inefficient. The fundamental difference between these two providers is competition. The most hated companies on earth are ones that hold monopolies, giving them terrible powers and stopping innovation. One thing that public services and corporate monopolies have in common is that they both exist because of the government, and in both cases you can look back at times before they were monopolized and see how incredibly efficient companies had to be to survive competition.
>>
>>32897425
>strawmanning this hard
Commie get out.
>>
>>32897644
Businesses ARE more efficient than governments. If a business is inefficient and puts out an undesirable product or service, they lose clients and go out of business. If a government is inefficient and puts out an undesirable product or service, they still get a fat paycheck in the form of taxes, debt, and newly-created inflatory money while giving its clients the finger. Periodically someone new comes in to move things around a bit, with virtually no difference in result.

That you would compare the two indicates that you're either a bureaucrat or a godawful businessman. Unless you've worked for or with governments, you won't know just how atrocious that shit is.

Ya, I'm not sure what that's about. Maybe Century Arms imported the shotgun and it wound up in Canada.

Questions still stands, what companies under Norinco are the best and which are the worst.
>>
>>32901868

Century is an importer. They imported the norinco shotgun and it got shipped here after. It'll just have century markings on it.

I already have the 12" barrel version, should I get the 20"?

Looks really cool I got to say.
>>

Point of diminishing returns is around 18".

wait is this an actual g3?

i believe there's a chilean g3 variant that isn't prohib iirc

or is this guy actually posting his illegal prohib rifle?

So I guess it fires the left barrel with one squeeze, followed by the right barrel when you squeeze the trigger again?

You're thinking of the SG540 clones. Apparently he got himself an actual prohib G3.

It's not elitism. People buy the SKS because it's cheap, it's semi, and typically x39 is cheap.
I find the ergo's are shit, accuracy is meh-tier.

buying an AR is becoming one of the most difficult decisions of my life

it doesn't seem to be any cheaper to build one - if anything it looks more expensive

what's a good brand of AR I can buy complete (or even a lower and upper separately) for under $1500
>>
>>32889519
God I love my Ricol, handiest little shotgun. I want to buy some Aguila mini shells to see how soft the recoil is compared to target loads and slugs.
>>
>>32902321

Single trigger is way more ergonomic, IMO. Also, that one has choke tubes whereas the double trigger stoeger uses fixed chokes.
>>
>>32902740
Having those chokes do explain the increase in price.
>>
>>32902462

Even if you're on your own property, the Mounties will fuck you in the ass if they catch you shooting restricted firearms there. It's fucking stupid, but that's what it is currently.
>>
>>32902759
Unless your property is a registered range (which is the only way). In which you need to have an accountant to show case expenses/costs, you'll need a lawyer, and you'll need to pay for the information and get approval from the CFO as well.
>>
what's a good place to buy AR parts guys?

I'm thinking about getting a complete lower from dlask since it's only $400

not sure how to go about completing it though
>>
>>32890487
The key here is "altered"

If the gun comes with a shorter barrel from factory it's not necessarily illegal as long as it meets the overall length requirements.
>>
>>32903081
Lots of different people to purchase parts from. Just google for it.

>>32903173

Correct.

You can take a 20" barrel and cut it down to 18" (I'd give it an extra .5" just to CYA).

A factory made barrel can be fucking 6" if you want.

DO NOT, however, cut a barrel down below 18".

Who's to say that isn't a deactivated g3?

He has not shown the bolt open or the magazine removed sooo
>>
>>32902803
you'd also need your local CFO's approval and a big fuck-off berm as a backstop.
>>
>>32903725
>and a big fuck-off berm as a backstop

The knowledge of that comes with the big book of red tape of what you need to do in order to have a range.

They actually prefer in people are shooting downwards into a berm apparently. You still need to have a blocker of sorts that makes it so you don't shoot over the berm.

As if that isn't easy to do anyhow.

Was speaking from personal experience. The safety on the SKS is cancer, it pinches me when I shoot it.

Plus it just feels better in the hands, feels a bit more solid. Not that I wouldn't not use an SKS if I needed to. Just not the best thing.

little presumptuous there guy, why can't you just accept that some people don't like your rifle and move on, no not everyone is jealous or doesn't understand, there are objective reasons to not like it

i am glad you are happy with it, but you don't need to sperg out and defend your purchase, nor should you care to, if you like it that's all that matters

I'm just getting sick of your same butt hurt reaction every time someone shit talks it, like I said, you like it and that's all that matters

On another subject, are they that rare to find or is it mostly the high cost? What did you pay $3k? or something? That's not really a lot of money to many people
>>
>>32904187
That's why he can afford a valmet, a poor person can afford nice things if they concentrate on them

There was no butthurt in my initial post to begin with i just like shit posting it cause it makes people salty and they come up occasionally on cgn for 3200-4000, or like 8000 if its 7.62x39, they go for that much in the states too cause theyre rare everywhere
>>
>>32904602
Ok well, well that could be true but it comes off as you being defensive and butthurt to most people, so regardless of your intentions that's how it makes you look
